So, here is an update:
They are still agreeing to fix the headlight, but my salesman does not seem to be on board or in knowledge of any other repairs. My salesman emailed me to ask what light my car needs, which is disenchanting because it’s been over month now. I did have the car in the body shop for hail damage for a while, but that still does not excuse them from not having the part ready after weeks of lead time.
To further add to disappointment with my customer experience, I have recently discovered the car has been wrecked and outside the insurance claim network, so it did not show up on the carfax. When I brought this to the attention of my salesman, he did not do much to assure me that we would get to the bottom of it. I told him that I will want to see the trade in appraisal of the car to see if they noticed the repairs when they took the car in. He just said, «I don’t know anything about that». He had no problem pushing the carfax on me, different tune when I ask for their own in house inspection. He even pushed the fact the car had a rigorous 159 point inspection and was of top quality of a used car.

I went into Joe Myers today for an extra key for the 2012 Camry SE I just bought. I was initially told, the pricing started around $ 120 if I wanted a valet key, but because I was looking for a new master key, I might be looking around $ 200+. Not my idea of money I’d want to spend, but this is one of the «perks» of buying used.
Flash forward to Monday morning, I showed up for my appointment this morning, and the service advisor told me when I arrived, I’m looking at $ 200+ (what I expected), plus a programming fee (hmm what?) which I was not expecting. Before starting any information taking, he called and got a quote, which was about $ 220 for the key, plus a $ 120 programming fee, bringing the total around $ 354.
I immediately turned into annoyed mode, told him Don McGill would do programming for free, to which he responded, I’m sorry.

I called Don McGill Toyota again (I’ll elaborate on this later), who told me, the fee was $ 200+, but programming was free if I bought the key with them. I made sure I was getting the right quote before driving out that way. Their service department ended up telling me to come in, which I did, and had me out in just under 2 hours at $ 206 plus some change.
I chose Joe Myers because they took the time to make an appointment, unlike Don McGIll who just said show up as early as possible. I’ve had enough experience with service departments where showing up as early as possible doesn’t necessarily mean, get out as soon as possible. My last couple of experiences showing up «as early as possible» at a «nameless» dealerships for a 3 hour oil changes.
In summary, at least for me, Don McGill Toyota didn’t take advantage of me, which felt like what Joe Myers was doing. People lose their keys or in my case, don’t get all keys when buying used. I can understand if someone bought a knockoff key off amazon and wanted it programmed, sure charge away. But if I’m coming to the dealership, there is some trust there because I’m buying «genuine», so I would expect programming would be free especially if the key itself is $ 200.
If you need a new/​replacement key for your car, I would recommend calling around for pricing first. In my opinion, Don McGill is your place of choice for an extra key.

Bought a used car there in September. As of today, I still don’t have the title and license for this vehicle. Y’all got grandma riding dirty on Christmas Day!!!
I have called numerous times to get assistance. I was given an updated temporary license but it expired too! I’ve learned to call and ask to speak to a used car manager but that doesn’t seem to help as well.
If you want a car, they’re pretty good. You just gotta stay on them to get the customer service you truly deserve. Oh, and their coffee sucks!
1÷13÷16 Was recently informed the tags were sent to the original owner on accident. They haven’t even offered to fix my car yet! Go somewhere else unless you want a new car.

I traded in a 20 010 vw Gti for a Silverado beautiful truck had a vibration from day one the sales
man knew about it I pointed it out he said they would fix, I took to service I was told I would be called after the truck was repaired,.1 day later after repeated calls to service I was told the truck was ready. When to get the truck and the vibration was still their I return it to service they rebalance the tires and was told there was nothing they could do I ask to back out return the truck and was told NO I TRIED driving it for a bit I cant get over 55 have less than 100 mile on a 33k truck I call the salesman Stacy and was told try takin it to another dealer shop for repair on my dime… original rims are not on the truck new tires are I made a report to NTSB I SAY BUYER BEWARE Overall deal was better than average everything else sucked.

This place fits the description of a sleazy car dealership to a T. I saw some reasonable prices on their website and decided to check them out. When we arrived we were greeted immediately. The sales woman took us over to the «certified» vehicles (never said we needed certified but she decided we did). We asked about the price but she wouldn’t tell us. She said we’ll go for a test drive and then discuss the price. After test driving a couple cars she asked which one I liked the most. I told her I wasn’t going to make any decisions without knowing the price first. That’s when she decided to pick which car I liked the most. Then she handed me a piece of paper stating that if we agreed on the prices we’d trade in our car and buy the one she just choose for me. I questioned her but she insisted that the paper didn’t mean anything, I just needed to sign it in order to get the price of the car «I was interested in» and to know the value of our trade in. She left and brought in the financial guy. He showed us a print out of what they valued the car «I was interested in» and the value of our trade in. First off, the car this lady picked out was used with 30k miles on it and stains on the back seat, their quoted price was HIGHER than the online price for their brand new, never owned, same make and model cars. Not only that but they valued our trade in at less than half of what other dealerships were offering (thousands of dollars). We told them the prices weren’t close to what we’d imagined. The financial guy pulled up a website and tried to convince us we were getting a good price. We still said no. He left to go punch some numbers. The sales woman continued to try and convince us that we were getting a really good deal because the car is «certified» which means my husband wont have to worry about when I get a flat tire because Toyota will come change it for me. Ummmm, no! I can take care of myself, I know how to change a tire, try again! Then she told us she wasn’t allowed to pull up the Joe Meyers website on her computer because she’ll get in trouble for showing the customers the online price since the prices are different (significantly less $$) than what they’ll offer. Ok… Financial guy returns saying he found a good deal on a different certified car. After quickly looking at it we noticed a medium size dent on one of the doors (which they probably tried to «pop out» because the metal was very flimsy) and the bottom part of the front bumper was broken. They also said that since it is in such good condition it’s labelled as certified for up to 100k. The car was already 77k. We go back inside and tell them that we noticed body damage. Financial guy offered to show us the Carfax claiming its never been in an accident. I don’t need to see the Carfax if there’s noticeable body damage! We asked for our keys because we weren’t going to make a trade. That’s when they started throwing all these cars at us, asking if we’d buy a make other than Toyota… like Hyundai or Kia. We’d been there for 3 – 4 hours and made no progress so we said no and finally left. It wasn’t till we were out of there that we realized the extent of disgusting salesman behavior we just dealt with. Please use caution when looking to buy a car here!

New building very nice lots of room they almost lost a star because I had to wait 15 minutes in my car but the staff is very friendly and the facilities are very clean. They even wash my car with my oil change and that’s where they regained that star

Horrible Joe Myers Toyota service center experience and even worse customer service from Adrian Wong!!! I should have bought a Chevrolet and I would have if I would have known that I can’t get my 4Runner device for a burning smell coming through the vent. I wonder if the darn car blows the hell up will they have a quick look at it. My car is brand new and already having an issue that they won’t even look at for a week. Oh btw Mr. Wong I don’t give a flying pig if you are too busy on Saturdays and frankly telling the customer «you are an adult and responsible for your own means of transportation not Toyota and Toyota has a NO LOANER CAR policy anyway» is a verbal kick in the crotch. I wish my finance guy Siah would have told me that —to Joe Myers Toyota I’m am only important until the sale is final and then I am a tobacco dip spit cup!!! I asked to speak to his manager because I was not being communicated with appropriately and he comes back with the manger’s business card «Micah Baalbergen» and Mr. Wong says he is unable to speak with me today, to use this card and his direct number is the 3^rd number so I should call that one to complain. I was very upset at my blood pressure was way up… all I could do was drive away but before I did I asked how long he had been working here and he said 2months here but 18 years for Toyota! What a darn shame to employ such a sad excuse for a human being. Toyota=TOY with ya… Go to Carmax at least they have manners!!!

I usually have had a pretty good experience with Joe Myers. I’ve been getting my car services here for a while now. I used to be very pleased with the service department, until today. Today was quite an unsavory experience though. I arrived at approximately 4:25 in order to get a quick oil change. I was greeted and told they were no longer able to change the oil at this time, and if I had arrived earlier at 4:15 then I would have been able to. Way to pour salt in the wound. Also, I think the service department should have some decency and probably inform people of this «last call» for service, so no one wastes their time like I did. I will no longer be going to Joe Myers Toyota for service.

I recently purchased a new Toyota Camry about a week ago, and while it was parked, someone scraped/​scratched against the driver side of my car hitting my blindspot mirror in the process. I took it into the dealership and Brett, one of the customer service managers was helping me out with that. I had no insurance and Brett was very helpful to me. He offered to take my vehicle to auto body shop to buff out the scratch. They took care of it, and Brett even offered me a discount on the part to replace my mirror. People like Brett displayed excellent customer service and he took care of all my needs. I’m highly satisfied to purchase my vehicle at Joe Myers Toyota because of managers like Brett.

It was really bad experience with them, especially for their bad strategy! They didn’t talk with me about the price or any other details before I signed some forms. And they push me to give a price which I could accept. And then, they wrote it down and asked me to sign it to admit if they could approve the price, I must buy the car, which was really stupid! At that moment, I didn’t want to go further with them…

After much shopping and internet exchange between different dealers, Alex Argueta shot straight and was very upfront and professional to deal with. It made car shopping more like a transaction and less like buying drugs in a 3^rd world country. Highly recommend for a buyer not wanting to be run through the Sales Method at other dealers.

Toyota Certified Lies.
Monday night I was at Joe Myers Toyota about to sign a deal for a CERTIFIED Toyota Martix. Being as I am an automotive technician, I thoroughly looked over the car before I signed on the line. What I found missing shocked me, and when I presented the problems to the manager I was told to leave and they were not going to sell a car to me.
Toyota requires a 160 point inspection of all certified pre-​owned vehicles, with the majority of the check list focusing on safety. This Matrix failed 4 requirements;
1. Rear seats did not have headrests.
2. Battery was not secure in the engine bay, the bracket was missing a bolt.
3. Plastic covers were missing from the seat rails.
4. Steering wheel was not centered and vehicle did not track straight.
After being told these were not going to be fixed, I asked if the certification could be removed because the car did not meet those requirements.
The pre-​owned director, Mike Gorbet, met me to discuss the problems. He spoke very unprofessional and demeaning towards me, ultimately saying he refuses to sell me a car because I caught them in a lie.
This is only one vehicle from their inventory deemed unsafe to drive. Imagine how many other cars, trucks, vans, and SUVs have been sold as certified. Whereas in actuality, they are unsafe and lack the necessary equipment for a certified pre-​owned vehicle.
These are people’s lives they are neglecting, not just car parts.

I just bought a new 2015 White Toyota Tacoma from them. However, it become the terrible idea when I chose to buy from this dealership.
After 3 days I bought the car, I found out that the passenger seat are completely broke. I really upset about this problem because this is a grand new truck and i just paid $ 34K for it couple days ago. I came back to Joe Myers and they sent me to their customer service. Waited 4 hours and they said they had to order a new passenger seat and they would call me back about 5 – 7 days. I had to take a day off from working to come this place for nothing. The only thing I knew is all they want is your money. I can’t imagine how this dealership survives in this day. I hate this place now, it is the worst place to go to buy cars at. They have the worst customer service and do not care about their customers.
If you want waste time and money go for Joe Myers!!!

This location’s office looks like a mechanic works here, not a bunch of sales guys. Bring antibacterial. The sales guy we met with gave a weak handshake and tried to dodge simple answers like: when will this car be available to purchase? Definitely not impressed. Even the car interiors felt dirty! If you go, don’t touch anything if you can help it.

Well normally i love this dealership, but today i was extremely disappointed! I called the day before to speak to a sales rep to explain my situation in detail and to see if it was worth me coming in. I did not want to waste my time or theirs. The rep, David Miles, said it was possible and to bring my trade in in. So i went in on Saturday and completely wasted 2 ½ hours of my day! I had never been so disappointed! I have purchased 6 toyotas from them and i think it might be time to move onto another toyota dealership.

This place is a joke.
They have the longest waits I’ve ever seen, but that’s no big deal to me.
The reason they get one star is because the guys literally try to sweet talk you to get ratings they don’t deserve. The service department really has no service. If you don’t respond how they want, they change their attitude negatively.

THIS IS FOR CAR SERVICE/​MAINTENANCE.
I bought my vehicle from this dealership in 2007. I take maintenance seriously and while I could save a few bucks at other shops, I always go straight to the dealership for service because they have the parts and I bought my tires here (so complimentary rotation).
I have had several service advisers over the years but there is 1 that I keep coming back to because he is hands down awesome. If he ever left, I may not come back as a customer. I say that with honesty. I have moved over the years from Cypress to Midtown and I make the drive for this guy because I only like to work with him.
This location has SERIOUSLY just rolled out a new service area. It is stink’n jam packed with a comfortable lounge area, several ports and free wifi. There is even a desk area by the community kitchen (with coffee machines + snacks) that resembles almost like a coffee shop laptop waiting area and I was able to work remotely while I waited for my car – comfortably. The wifi was pretty fast and I’m guessing because they’ve updated since moving to this super huge facility. If you normally come here for service, you will be wowed by the new facility.
Now, back to the service adviser, this guy consistently keeps me on point with what I’ve done, need to do and he helps me prioritize what’s important because my vehicle is now 7+ years old and while I can’t shell out all the time for the big stuff, we timeline everything to keep my car going. He also gives me a heads up of the costs involved and I do believe that he sincerely talks to me like I am a friend and not someone in their way until it’s time to get off work. This guy is truly exceptional and if I could meet the GM to tell him he needs to give this guy a raise, I would. He has been consistent with his service and he seriously should be taken care of. If you need car service and you do’t mind having it done at a dealership, I recommend coming here. While I do not want to divulge this guy’s real name, his initials are JS. Thanks man.

Got the windows tinted here on my truck and it isn’t even a Toyota. I know that shouldn’t matter but try going to some dealerships with a different make vehicle and see what kind of service you receive. They did a good job at a reasonable price. I would go here again if I needed future service that they could perform.

DO NOT TRUST THIS DEALERSHIP! We purchased a brand new 2011 Toyota Tundra «Texas edition» from this dealership. We sold the truck in 2013 and discovered that it was not a true Texas edition at all and that this Joe Meyers had added the «Texas edition» floor mats, rims, and badges on a regular Tundra, not even an SR5! We got 22 000 trade-​in on it. Had it really been a true Texas edition we would have gotten 28 000. All they had to do was register the package with the VIN number. Instead they misled us as customers and cost us money. Do not trust this dealership!
