It’s A Wrap! mobile bistro

This is one of my favorite food trucks. I’ve been here multiple times and the food is always great. I love the jerk chicken and the fried Mac and cheese balls. The owner is usually there working, when I’ve been, and she’s super nice.

probably one of the biggest rip offs I’ve been to in houston. I paid $ 9 for a Spartacus wrap that was super small. It was probably worth less than $ 5. Not sure how they’re still in business as it wasn’t any different than other gyro places. Have to urge others not to go there unless you like overpaying.

This food truck has an amazing mix of fusion. East meets west. Must try the mac and cheese balls… to die for.

EVERYONE NEEDS TO READ IF THEY PLAN OF PURCHASING ANYTHING FROM THIS FOOD TRUCK! It’s A Wrap came to our office building for lunch and although I did not order anything personally, I witnessed the workers on this truck provide terrible customer service. My friend was waiting patiently outside for his wrap. While he was waiting, he noticed a wrap that looked like the one he ordered on the menu sitting on the truck’s ready to go ledge. He sat there for over 5 minutes starring at the guy that worked there waiting politely for him to say his name so he could come up and get his wrap. After 10 more minutes, my friend walked up closer and asked if that was his wrap. The guy that worked there said yeah and turned around. My friend asked him why he left it sitting there for 15 minutes while he saw him standing there waiting the whole time. THE WORKER TOLD HIM THAT SINCE MY FRIEND DIDNT TIP THEN HE WOULDN’T GET «EXPEDITED» SERVICE! Who does that?! There are no set laws when it comes to tipping and if the food is already ridiculously expensive for a wrap, why should you tip if there is no Server or Waitress to tip. You don’t go to a restaurant and tip the cooks, only the servers. I was outraged on behalf of my coworker and friend. This food truck with never get our service ever again.

Like many others, I went to this food truck at the City Hall farmer’s market for lunch. I figured the long line must mean that it’s really good, but that really wasn’t the case. after waiting in line for about five minutes, I ordered «My Big Fat Greek» and some mac and cheese balls. The food was okay, but it took me about fifteen-​twenty minutes to get it. It was a little pricey but I didn’t really mind. Also worth mentioning, the long line plus the long wait to get food meant that there really wasn’t anywhere to stand, and space around the truck got a little cramped. The only reason I would want to give this truck another try is due to their number of vegetarian and vegan options.

I’m sorry but i was very unimpressed with this truck when i tried it on Saturday night at discovery green. my wife and i ordered two small wraps at $ 5.50 each and got basically two small tacos not wraps with VERY dry chicken in them on over cooked taco shells!

Stumbled across the food truck at the City Hall farmer’s market. There was a line so I figured, hey must be a sign that the truck is popular. More like the line was a result of people having to wait on the food for a long time.
Small selection of wraps — chicken, tilapia, gyros — with different dressings and fixings. You can get a small/​large for $ 5.50/$ 7.50 or combo for $ 10 (includes water, wrap and a fried mac and cheese ball).
The bad:
1) The wait for someone to take my actual order was way too long
2) Ordered a small «Finding Nemo» (blackened tilapia with cilantro dressing) and my friend a large «The Jerk». Waited another 15 – 20 minutes for our orders
3) Wraps are more similar to tacos than actual wraps. They were TINY, even the large. Also, a bit slim on the actual ingredients inside the «wraps» — finished my small in 5 bites (FYI: I do not take giant bites either)
The good:
1) Happy I ordered a small because I would’ve been more upset if I paid $ 7.50 for a «large»
2) Actual taste/​quality of the food is not bad — tilapia had a nice flavor and the dressing complemented it well — but didn’t blow my taste buds away
The portion and food quality was underwhelming and the wait just made it worst. I’m probably going to try other food trucks in the market before coming back here, if I do.

Another adventure to the H-​Town D-​Town Farmer’s market, walked about for a while and nothing really sounded great *(way too hot for Indian fair-​which is the standard on Wednesdays) so we found the It’s a wrap truck and decided (bad call I know) that the pictures on the side of the truck looks good so why not. I asked the lady inside for recommendations and she went though the list of items and when she mentioned «spicy» I stopped her there. Ordered the «JERK» wrap lunch special, wrap, mac ball and drink=$ 10 (I use the card as cash is illusive)…after about 6 – 10 minutes I hear my name and food is ready… which is good because I am hungry by now. So on a bench I sit and the macball is looking good, actually it is really appealing to the eyes, I pop open the «spicy» sauce…(hmmph, not spicy, a little Sriracha with mayo… eh) dunked in the perfect looking macball and bit in…(pause for effect) OK macball I give a 5 only because the issue with macballs are getting the exterior perfect crunchy but not doughy and they did that, what it didn’t have was mac and cheesiness at all, sort of like macaroni, fried– that’s it. So with that «spicy» sauce you have crunchy bland balls which really do not sell well if you named them how they taste. Moving on to the wrap… which let me remind you I was sold on as «SPICY» jerk flavor… not spicy and only a hit of jerk in the over cooked way too dry meat that was paired with fresh veggies (that was a win) and a average pita/​flat bread. So to wrap it up and but a bow on my adventure today= if I didn’t score some awesome cauliflower at the produce stand I would have considered my hard earned money completed wasted on mediocre food, which in my book is a sin. Caught them at the City Hall farmers market. Good fish wrap (the «Finding Nemo»). The fish was blackened and the flavoring had a little kick to it. Lines are long and they take a few minutes to make each wrap, so be prepared to wait.

Visited this place while at the Refinery for the Houston Dynamo pre party event! Gotta say, this place has one of the best falafel wraps I’ve ever tasted. Actually ordered one, horked it down and then went back to order another! The pita is chewy, the falafel perfectly fried, the veggies fresh and tatziki amazing.

I had never eaten out of a food truck before, but I was really hungry and it smelled good. My friend had recommend the mac and cheese ball which were good, nothing special. The sauce that went with it is like a mayo sauce, which I love those and it added a good flavor to the cheese ball. I got the jerk chicken and thought it was really good. I read some of the past reviews and maybe they have added more flavor because mine was not bad. My bf also got a wrap and enjoyed his as well. I will say its a little overpriced for the size you get, but I would go back.

Yes, it is a wrap… one that isnt that good.
Frankly, the wraps I have had have been bland and overall tasteless. Food from a truck should make you drool for more — instead I left feeling like I was robbed. Never again.

Overpriced and small portions. I was very disappointed getting lunch here at this trailor downtown.
My friend and I ordered 2 wraps which both were bland, tiny and not filling. It was the greek wrap and salmon wrap. I’m not a fan.

On a recent trip to Agora, I decided to try It’s a Wrap on our way home. I made a rather quick, perhaps too quick, decision to get the Greek Wrap. I was a little disappointed and if you compare it to Niko Nikos even a little you’d be very disappointed. The wrap was indeed just a wrap, like a soft taco wrap, not exactly what you think of for a Greek sandwich. Though my husband did remind me that this wasn’t a Greek food truck and it was called It’s a WRAP, so maybe I should cut them a little slack…
Okay…but even if I do that I wasn’t overly impressed. It needed more feta and some olives! Gotta have olives on a Greek wrap!
The small wraps are $ 4.00 (I think $ 3.00 would be a bit more appropriate) and the large ones are $ 6.50. Next time I’ll definitely try the large and one with meat to see if it’s any more satisfying.
On another note, I did notice that the couple in front of us seemed to have come to the taco truck specifically for the fried mac and cheese balls so maybe I’ll have to give those a whirl at some point too…
First impression is two stars, but I’m willing to give it one more go ’round…

The fried mac and cheese was tasty and crunchy, but bland if you dont use the sauce.
We tried 3 wraps: Bollywood, Finding Nemo, and Big fat Greek. All were delish. The best one was probably the Greek wrap. I would’ve appreciated the other two more if they contained more sauce. I’ll have to request that next time. Other than that, not really much to complain about.

I was at a charity event at The Boneyard which is not allowed to serve food due to the presence of dogs, so the «It’s a Wrap» truck showed up to sell food in the parking lot. In return for the admission fee, each attendee was given food coupons which could only be redeemed at It’s a Wrap. Since this was our only possibility for food, we ambled over to the truck hoping to get a quick bite to eat. Big mistake.
My friend and I waited in line for 20 minutes on a hot June evening before our order was even taken. (There were only 3 people ahead of us in line.) It then took another 10 minutes to receive our «Bollywood» wraps which were really just sad little soft tacos with meager amounts of dried out chunks of chicken, a spicy sauce and a few slivers of lettuce and other vegetables. My friend also got an order of the fried Mac-​and-​Cheese Balls which she said were very bland and oily. I had wanted the vegetarian «Casablanca» wrap but was ominously informed by the It’s a Wrap order taker that «it might take a while» since she needed to slice vegetables for it! Given that the vegetables would then have to be grilled, I could envision myself being stuck hanging around the It’s a Wrap truck the whole evening waiting for food so I declined.
When asked why it took so long to prepare something as simple as a wrap, the ladies in the It’s a Wrap truck claimed that their food was «made-​to-​order». This excuse was not entirely believable since the chicken had clearly been cooked to death long before and how time consuming is it to put a couple of basic items in a soft tortilla and fold it in half? I think that the It’s a Wrap gang needs to get better organized and practice multitasking. And, learn to prepare better quality food.

Nothing special. For $ 6.50, I’d prefer Subway.
I had an Indian style wrap and a jerk chicken wrap. They weren’t bad but the chicken lacked flavor and was very dry. The naan bread is also dry and not as chewy as I would expect.

Little late on this review but i felt like i had to put one up. Went like an hour before they were gonna leave so that might have added to my bad experience.
When we arrived they were already out of tortillas (man that sucks for a place with wrap in the name) and had to get ours on a bed of rice. I opted for the Bollywood which is an Indian spice based wrap and prepared for the best. I got almost the complete opposite. Everything in the rice bowl was under spiced and overcooked. the chicken was so dry I’m glad i went into inversion for a delicious dirty chai beforehand.
My roommate opted for the jerk wrap (which was suggested by the nice lady) and said it was OK, but not the best. Mango salsa was decent but it didn’t make up for the overcookedness/​underspiced meat. We both agreed that anything fried is usually going to be good, and got a fried mac and cheese ball which the exterior was like that of a hush puppy with gooey mac and cheese inside. It didn’t really have much taste to me personally. but i do love fried foods: D 6 dollars for a wrap (you’ll prolly want two), 1.50 for mac and cheeseball (think hush puppy size). I will try this place one more time probably closer to when they first arrive.

Decided to check them out for lunch yesterday at inversion coffee, I was pretty excited since the food on their facebook page looked amazing. I was pretty surprised at how SMALL the wraps were, they were more like tacos instead of wraps so I was definitely deceived by the pictures on their facebook page. We ended up having to get another 2 more «tacos» because one was just not enough to fill you up, they are definitely shiesty when it comes to the fillings I think mine only had like 3 small pieces of meat in there. We ended up spending like $ 26 for just two people, definitely too much for mobile food considering we weren’t full from it.
Now on to the taste of the food, the fried mac and cheese balls are good and the «tacos» are ok, the chicken was a little dry but I did like the wrapping (tortilla) they used.
Now most importantly, be careful here! Me and my bf both got food poisoned, it is most definite we got it from here because we both had nothing to eat that day except food from here and a few hours later we were both running to the bathrooms! I’ve never gotten food poisoning from a food truck and now that this has happened I am feeling a little less adventurous!

It’s a Wrap has made it in to the Saturday food truck rotation at Inversion coffee.
I was the lucky, first patron of It’s a Wrap on Saturday and was greeted with applause from the crew! (If only I could get everyone to greet me the same way)!
All wraps are $ 6, which is extremely reasonable. The food is fresh and quickly served.
I ordered a fried mac-​n-​cheese ball and the Fiesta wrap (I think that’s what it was called). The mac-​n-​cheese ball lacked any real mac-​n-​cheese flavor and tasted of grease. So after my dismisal encounter with the mac-​n-​cheese ball, I was resting my faith on the yumminess of the wrap…
The bread used in the wraps was great, slightly toasty and very fresh. The sliced beef was tender and warm.
Unfortunately, the wrap similar to the mac-​n-​cheese ball lacked any real flavor. Based on the description of the wrap, I was anticipating a fiesta in my mouth… instead the entire experience left me wanting to take a siesta-​yawn.
