The customer service for this place is the worst. They do t call back when you leave a message. Don’t answer emails. It’s been nearly 6 months and very little communication on the part of ispillrepair. When I do get a hold of someone they were always very nice and tell me what I want to hear, but have failed to deliver. My review is based on the extremely poor customer service and never getting my computer back.

Nothing good to say about these clowns and I’d recommend not using them ever! I sent my MacBook Air to them in early April, 2015. After months of calling, emailing, and getting fake guidance about when my laptop would be repaired/​returned I had no laptop back. In August, 2015, 4 months later, I called my credit card company and filed a fraud claim. These crooks still have my laptop, charger and have never reached out to make things right. Bottom line don’t use them, they are inept, and you would be better off paying Apple for their water repair service. The clowns charged me $ 528, Apple wanted $ 750. Looking back, I would have paid the $ 750 to get my laptop fixed.

This company is a big scam and they should be shut down! I sent my Macbook pro to them to be fixed because of water damage in January of 2015. After a month passed they said that they were still working on it. After 2 months passed they said they knew what I needed and were waiting on parts that took a long time to get in. After 3 months passed no update. So I attempted to contact them and got some excuse and that in month 4 they said that my computer was in final testing.
Then all of a sudden, I get an email saying that every single Macbook pro in final testing was stolen. I think that this guy said it was like 30 stolen laptops or so… Well, I didn’t fully believe this because the computer is already 2 – 3 months late. So I kept asking what they were going to do and how the heck was I going to get my computer back?
After a few weeks of being painfully patient (Keep in mind: MY COMPUTER IS STOLEN) they contact me and say that even though it’s going to be really expensive and insurance is being really slow they are going to replace everyone’s laptop out-​of-​pocket. I was still in disbelief but I hoped and prayed that they were being honest. Another month passes and they said that we should all be getting our laptops sent in the mail within a few weeks… (I’ll believe it when I see it…)
Month 7 passes… No laptop… No word from them… Really difficult to get them to respond to my desperate pleas to give me my laptop back.
Month 8 passes, I threaten to call the cops and contact the Better Business Bureau for their negligence and theft of my laptop. I receive another excuse and went on to swear that I would get my laptop in the next 5 – 7 days.
Month 9… (September 2015…9 months after they received my laptop…7 months after they said I would receive my fully functioning laptop…) Still no laptop… Still no refund… I have received no response since the message «Your laptop will arrive in 5 – 7 days…»
Don’t take such a big risk and send your laptop to this company. Your laptop (Macbook pro) is very expensive and very important to you… I can guarantee to you that these people are not honest and you more than likely won’t get it back on time or even at all!

I have had the worst experience with this business owner. Never have I encountered such a rude and completely unprofessional business owner in my life. I was told my data recovery process would be complete by a specific date and that he would update me a few days in how it was going. Both days passed and I called and emailed for a few days after trying to get in touch.
SIX days later he says sorry he was playing catch up and it would be ready in the next day or two. Well everything was not ready. He tells me the data recovery process is long and it will take some time. Annoying, but I said ok because he gives me a flash drive that have my files. Well I get home and I can not access the files on it. So I let him know and ask him when I can come in to get it resolved. I again spend the next WEEK trying to get a response about getting the flash drive figured out.
He finally responds and tells me he is tired of my yapping, the customer is not always right, and I am being self righteous acting like I’m the only customer. He even tells me he will refund my money if the files aren’t on the flash drive because he knows he did it right. Making excuse after excuse like saying how he offers a way better price than competitors and it comes with the territory. He acts like I should know what goes into what he does. I don’t and I don’t care, I just want it done.
Yes I’m impatient, but I paid this business to do a job, which they did not do. I lost my patience after the 2^nd excuse. It is not my job to care about how many other customers you have, or listen to your reasons for why you did not do the job you said you would. A good business does what they say they are going to do by when they say they are.
I finally got it resolved a month after and guess what, the flash drive didn’t have the files on it. It wasn’t worth my time telling him I told you so so I just got my stuff and left.
This guy needs to reevaluate his customer service if he plans on staying in business, at least under this current business name. Just because he’s cheap he thinks he’s entitled to be an asshole.

my macbook air was recieved by ispillrepair on March 11 and I paid the total charge of the repair ($ 479) of my water damaged Macbook Air on March 12, 2015. I was aware of the disclaimer on the bottom of the receipt that read: «* Please note that we cannot guarantee repair times — repairs require testing, and time, to determine that the issues are completely resolved. If your Mac requires component level logic board repair and/​or other more intricate repairs it may take 14 – 28 business days, or longer, to repair. We do not guarantee repair times for any repair» but I was quoted that my repair would take 7 – 14 business days from the time of payment, so I waited first for the 7 days that I was quoted and met with a response that they would let me know as soon as my laptop was in final testing. Following that, I waited again until the 15^th business day, and considering that I hadn’t heard about final testing, I figured something was wrong so I emailed another quick note about the status of the repair and I was met with nothing. On April 10^th, I received a call from a representative at ispillrepair detailing that their facility was broken into, but my laptop wasn’t harmed, and I would receive a call from a technician in 1 – 2 days on the status of my laptop. This promise wasn’t kept and since then I replied via email hoping for an answer. I then began to call their offices on April 20^th, and was at first met with the polite promise that I would get an email by the end of the day. This email read «We are currently working through some display issues which were found during Final Testing and will reach out to you when those are resolved.» This was surprising because I received no update that my device was in final testing even though it was stated that I would get one. The week of the 31^st business day, I called once a day trying to get through about what was up with my laptop. My first time getting through, I was told that it was «probably boxed up» and they would let me know by the end of the day. Then when I got no message that day I called back and a different technician told me that I would get an email when it was ready, but when I asked what part of the process it was in, he just repeated that I would get an email from fedex and ispillrepair when it was ready. The next day I called, I was rudely interrupted when I gave my name and the technician on the phone said that I «call 3 times a day» and «I don’t know what to tell you» This was the last straw for me due to the fact that i cant even be told where my laptop is at this point so I researched and saw that this poor customer service is a practice for ispillrepair, who changed their name from the mac boutique, and I decided to contact the BBB.

IF YOU ARE READING THIS: DO NOT USE ISPILL​RE​PAIR​.COM. No matter what you do. Seriously! I read other reviews and thought, «it wouldn’t happen to me.» The service here is beyond terrible. They will STEAL your computer and money and then go MIA and blame YOU when you say they are unreachable. They should be reported to the better business bureau and not be allowed to ever, ever touch a computer or money again. It has been many months that they have had both my computer and money and, even though I have been told that they were getting it back to me, that they wouldn’t take more than a few weeks, etc., it was ALWAYS A LIE. TRULY. If you can do ANYTHING to make your life easier, it is to not use this company. I have never been so appalled in my life. The people who work here are despicable and it amazes me that someone could be that dishonest and horrible in this world. As another poster said, they will give you excuses and then drop off the face of the planet. Absolutely HORRIBLE. I hope that all legal action is taken to prevent these scammers from ever working again.

First, I should say that
repaired my computer and it is working beautifully. My problem is not with the quality of the work, it is with the customer service I received during the repair process. It took 2 months for ispillrepair to fix my computer. During this time, the only time I received an update was when I had requested it multiple times. The updates were short and rude and had a tone of impatience to them as if I was bothering them.
I only saved a little bit of money from using ispillrepair over the Apple store to repair my computer, and if I were ever in the position to require water damage repair again I would just spend the extra money and use a more reliable company for repairs. Send your computer here only if you don’t mind waiting months with no communication for your repair to be completed.
