Isle PediSpa

A month ago I left Isle PediSpa with the same bad cuticles I arrived with. I don’t understand why they no longer soak the nails. I decided to try another location and left disappointed again. Not worth the money or the drive, time to find another spa.

Went here a week ago. Paid $ 58 for shellac and $ 63 for a peppermint pedicure. When I sat down, the pedicure tub was still dirty and had the roses petals from the previous person’s pedicure still in there, so they cleaned it while I sat down… really? My shellac has chipped and cracked over the past seven days. The pedicure looks nice but it was worth maybe half of what they charge.
Just trust me — do not go here unless you like wasting your money. It was a joke.

We picked this place because of the great reviews and it’s a very clean and «pretty». My partner and I arrived and the receptionist was my very welcoming. Our two person pedi room was very nice and clean and we enjoyed the free glass of wine.
Once the pedi began it was over before we knew it. From start to finish it took a total of 30 minutes! 30 minutes!!! Our bill was $ 110 with tip.
The finished product was mediocre AT BEST! The buff/​shine came off almost as soon as we left. No cuticle work. Maybe the ladies who worked with us must have not had much experience working on men. All in all, we have no problem spending more for a quality pedi. But this one was worth maybe $ 30. So very very disappointed.

First time here, followed Eric from his past location. Love the look of the place– the private rooms are perfect with a group of friends. Eric is fantastic — he does a great job and makes sure you are happy with the outcome! Definitely suggest him for any first timers! Will be coming back!

My favorite nail salon in Houston. Yes it’s pricey but they really take their time and the space is beautiful! I didn’t have a great experience at their other location but the manager invited me back to either location to have a pedicure on the house. I’ve been back two times since and plan on making it my monthly pedi spot.

$ 120 for a regular gel mani and regular spa pedi — and the gel nail polish only lasted into the third day. Since I was out of the country, I couldn’t call to inquire about a re-​do; when I did return on day 7, they urged me to go in that same day at 2:30 in the afternoon, as they have a 1 week policy. Lucky for me I work from home, so the time wasn’t a complete inconvenience.
My new mani lasted *almost* two weeks. Basically, not nearly as long as the gel manis I’ve had at other places that use OPI, which last almost three weeks.
For the price you pay, you do get your own comfy booth with personal TV, cookies/​sweets, beverage bar (that no one offers you — you have to retrieve it yourself, and since I was a new customer, I had no idea). Front desk girls were somewhat aloof.
My nail techs were friendly, though, and have a talent for their craft, but again, whatever brand of polish they use weren’t worth the time or the money. Not sure if I’d ever return unless I absolutely had to — which would only be in a late evening emergency since they’re the only nail spa inside the loop that’s open til 9pm! Most close at 6/​7pm.

First and last visit. The receptionists were cold and snotty. Not the way I want to be greeted in an upscale nail spa. My bill was $ 118 for gel «restorative» manicure and a peppermint pedicure. The service is a joke! I get my nails done every 3 weeks and I’ve received MUCH better service at places that charge much less.
There was nothing restorative about my manicure. There was barely a massage during my expensive pedicure. The pedicure itself was mediocre and when they finished, they just shooed me out the door to pay and leave. Where am I supposed to sit for my toe nails to dry? Who the heck sends their clients out like this? Isle Pedispa. An hour later — I noticed part of my French pedicure chipped. Lovely.
Don’t be fooled by the menu and the marketing. This place will steal your money and give you subpar service that is not what is promised on the menu at premium prices.
Isle pedispa — you should be embarrassed about disguising your crappy services as premium, and charging clients outrageous prices for them.
I’ll take my money and nails elsewhere.

For $ 60, I’d expect my Shellac manicure to last at least two weeks. It chipped in 5 days! Unheard of… While the technicians are friendly and the place is clean and pretty, chipped EXPENSIVE Shellac is enough to make me never want to come here again… There was nothing special about the manicure to make it worth $ 60 in my opinion, and they don’t even include shoulder massages, not even as an extra add-​on, which is unfortunate because their pretty pedicure chairs create knots in your back for you while you’re reaching across the table getting your nails done.

I have been a long time client of Isle Pedi Spa — 8+ years. I love Liz and Duyan, both do an amazing job and we have a great time during every visit.
Sadly, I had an experience on Monday that I feel compelled to share. Although I have been with them forever, I am always charged a $ 10 soak off fee for my gel nails. While I don’t agree with this charge since I’m a recurring client, I pay it. This past Monday I got a soak off, gel nails, nail art and a pedicure. I ended up spending $ 185 which included gratuity. Several hours after I left I got a call from one of the receptionists letting me know that I didn’t pay for the soak off and was it ok to change the amount of my credit card. I was caught off guard and asked her if she could waive it since I had been a long time client. She put me on a brief hold, came back said «no». To which I replied, «well, you are going to lose a client over this». Again, she said «ok» and hung up the phone.
About 30 mins later I got a call from the manager, Chris, apologizing for what happened and offered to remove the charge from my credit card or simply put a $ 10 credit to my account. I opted for the credit back to my card.
What I guess is mind boggling is that over $ 10 this business is going to lose me as their client. And I spend close to $ 400 every month. Yes, this is a very expensive guilty pleasure.
While I appreciate Chris’ offer, I don’t feel at this point the $ 10 is worth me keeping them as my nail salon.

I went to Isle Pedispa with my cousin and my sister and was ready for an amazing experience, bc this is one of my favorite places to get pampered in Houston. While the place itself is cute and fun, there were certain things lacking in our experience. We were initially greeted and asked if we wanted beverages. We each had a glass of wine and waited on our services to begin. I got a pedicure along with my cousin, and my sister got a manicure. Unfortunately, the woman doing my pedicure was not friendly at all, nor was she helpful. We were there for awhile so we each decided to have another glass of wine. First we asked my pedicurist if we could have another glass. She merely grunted and never got the wine. We had to ask again 15 minutes later, at which point my sister’s manicurist got us the wine. Also, early on in my service, my pedicurist asked me if I wanted a towel wrap. My sister and cousin were not offered this. When I said yes, the woman, almost appearing annoyed, threw a towel in the microwave and started heating it. After that, I never saw the towel wrap again. She just forgot about it. She never apologized when we had to ask for the wine again, and when she was done with my pedicure, she muttered an obligatory «have a good day.» My nails were done really well, but the experience is such a big part of the cost of this place. Also, Isle Pedispa is known for having wonderful treats and beverages. While they had a ton of candy, their advertised «freshly baked cookies» were nowhere to be found. Instead there was just a container with cookie crumbs. I think they need to either lower their prices or step up their game if they’re going to continue this kind of level of service.

Opened only 2 minutes before my 9am appointment. Housekeeper just then started cleaning the dirty floors while I was there. I saw long red nail clippings around my station that must have been left from last night. Watched housekeeper sweep up disgusting debris. Not at all a «spa» experience. Seats are uncomfortable hard benches with stained pillows. Music is elevator pop. Coffee is dirty water, undrinkable. There’s no place to sit while waiting for your appointment. Pedicure was very average for $ 43. I’m so disappointed in this place. Receptionist and nail tech were nice and competent. The décor and location explain the high prices but this is NO spa.

I went in for a pedicure Thursday evening. I thought I would give a new place a try. I walked in and asked the receptionist the price for a pedicure. She told me $ 27, which I found high, but I was already there, so I said sure. She told me that they did not have time for me, which I was okay with, even though there were only 2 other customers in the whole place. She then said, no wait, we can get you in a few minutes, just have a seat and wait. Okay, no problem. I waited for about 15 minutes during which I saw at least three nail technicians walking around without clients. Finally, they told me to have a seat. At first, it was going great! She was going to get me a neck pillow and water. I was starting to relax after a hard day. Then, suddenly, she asks if I want a manicure. I said no, just a pedicure, thank you. She looks worried and disappears for another 10 minutes. She then comes back and tells me that she doesn’t have time to give me a pedicure, only a manicure. I told her that wasn’t what I wanted and that I wouldn’t have waited for over 20 minutes if they weren’t even going to do my service! I told the receptionist, as well. No one looked at me or said anything. I left with my time totally wasted and no pedicure. I WILL NEVER GO BACK. THESE PEOPLE ARE RUDE, EXPENSIVE, and have no problem WASTING YOUR TIME. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE

Be prepared to spend an arm and a leg for crap service and rude employees. Very rude and not competent at all

This was my first visit to this location but 3^rd overall. I booked my appointment for 6pm on a Saturday because my day was full. I had a little trouble finding it and tried calling but was put on hold. I ended up walking around the shopping center and finally found it on the 2^nd level above Rye 51.
Checking in was easy and I was quickly taken back by my pedicurist, Angie. She was sweet and accommodating. I chose my usual Pedissage Pedicure — $ 60. The great thing about this one is the 15 minute foot massage, per foot! I feel a bit overwhelmed by the many options so I went with what I liked!
The pedicures at Isle are the best in town. Now I’ve not frequented high end spas or country clubs but I’ve had my share of pedicures in Houston and the quality at Isle PediSpa is consistent. My girl took her time with my toes and definitely took her time with the massage. The only negative I would say is that she was super chatty and sometimes did not focus on the task at hand. I enjoyed chatting with her so I did not complain but next time I will politely speak up. I find that my nail polish lasts a lot longer than other nail salons and for that reason, I will pay more for a pedicure. My feet were well taken care of and now I won’t be embarrassed to show them off when Houston decides to be 75 degrees in the middle of winter!

I went to a party. The place looks fab! I was overwhelmed with so many choices and how much more each choice costs. I asked for a shellac French manicure. I was told they were fully booked and the party was scheduled only for regular manicures. I’m a Pettite woman and for a party of seven, I could only see the people sitting right next to me. Their partitions are very nice looking and extremely obtrusive got a party this large. The ladies rushed everyone to choose their color because we had to share the palettes to choose from. I thought the water was very hot for my pedi the lady told me «oh just wait a little you will get used to it. No one likes a cold pedicure.» That is as accommodating as she was. Then the lady that was doing my manicure was in a rush. I was trying to enjoy me time and she was trying to make small talk. I’m not a cook but she continued to ask me how can she make paleo-​chocolate. I have no idea. I said is that a new trend? She said «no. It’s a really old one.» Sorry I was just trying to relax. Honestly my nails looked good. I paid close to $ 90 for a regular manicure. Well, what a waste of money and time. I got in the shower the next morning and it all began to peel off!!! Yes in less than 24 hours 4 fingers were gone. That said, I do not recommend this place at all. Gave it two stars for the Connor and decore. That’s all.

Wow. All these great reviews really surprise me… this place was not great at all. After a terribly stressful week at school (teachers), a fellow teacher and I Unilocaled and decided to try this «spa» out (we wanted a spa!!) We has appointments for 4:00 and were not seen until 4:20. There was no where to sit while we waited. It was quite noisy and not very «spa» like at all (we wanted a spa!!!). We were taken into a private room (the only bright spot of the visit). The room wasn’t tranquil (we wanted a SPA!!!). The girls were rude, short and no fun at all. Mine kept telling me to relax… but not in soothing manner, it was more like an annoyed demand. I told her I was a bit ticklish and she just half way smiled (I really am!). My friends girl never spoke really. I wish people in Houston who work for tips… WORKED for tips. I’ll never understand it.
We were offered a drink, but nothing else that was advertised online (herbal neck wrap, oils, tv, cd player, NOPE.) Bath water was cold and stale, no bubbles or fizz and it didn’t even smell nice! The benched that you sit on are not relaxing at all. No rub down, scrub, soak or even time to relax and enjoy for a moment, just in and out mentality.
Nails were ok, nothing that special or worth the $ 10-​$ 15 above strip mall shop price (total for classic $ 43, my friends basic shellac mani $ 50). We went here because we liked the word spa and thought it would be relaxing. It wasn’t.
Bottom Line: expensive, not a spa at all, bad customer service, go somewhere else.

My girlfriends and I like to come here for specific more detailed manicures. When it comes to how it looks I’m always happy with it. I love the ambience and the big selection of the quality polishes. But what I’ve experienced at this location and the west u location is that the receptionist staff is quite rude. Last time me and two friends were there we all three experienced the receptionists act incredibly put out by us asking ANY questions as if they were really busy. They weren’t. The point is, if you’re spending the kind of money you are there, you would expect to get good customer service and good attitudes, not them acting like YOU’RE the one that’s lucky to be there.

Expensive but well work it!
Nails look great, they always accomodate.
Great date with my boyfriend where they took us to a special room.
The staff is very professional and sweet.
And wine too :)

last year my friends got me gift certificates for this place so that’s how I came to know about the Isle. I’ve been hooked ever since! it’s CLEAN, professional, and they do a great job! it’s about 10 notches above the regular mani/​pedi places.
yes — the prices are on the high end, but it’s worth it. I even tried to convince myself otherwise by going back to regular places, and at the end, I came right back!
