Our Caribbean Contemporary dining room was designed to bing the essence of the Islands with welcoming hospitality and the comfort of being back home in the Islands.
Every Friday the beautiful musical instruments of the Caribbean pulsating around the room while sipping on our signature Rum Punch and enjoy delicious eye appealing dishes that tease and titillate all your senses.
Next door our market gives you the opportunity to go home and try to prepare your own dishes with authentic spices imported directly from the Islands.
Many products in the isles takes you down memory lane.
Meet the Business Owner
Ellen and Orin L.
Business Owner
Migrated from Guyana, lived in Canada then in NY/NJ with my husband and kids for over 30 years. My husband and I decided to bring from New York to Houston what we missed most and that is when the idea of ISM was born. I moved to Houston in the summer of 2010, I immediately started looking for the right location to launch. Finding the perfect location that borders Katy, Cypress and Cyfair for a new Houston resident was an achievement in itself, thanks to a few wonderful friends. It is a very exciting period in our lives. My husband who is the Master Chef behind the scene enjoys all the attention his menu gets. My daughter Amber manages the store well with all the experience she gained from her previous employment. My 14 year old twin boys loves helping out when they are permitted to be at ISM. I’ve had the good fortune to have met some wonderful friends and new relatives who has been inspiring in helping us make this a reality and transition into the role of Business Owner.
