History

Established in 2015.

Hune Company is creating its history now. We are beginning our first season with the 2015 Living Room Series; four plays in a living room that has been converted into a black box theater.

Business Owner

MATT HUNE is a stage director and theatre artist dedicated to presenting non-​traditional theatre and opera. In addition to directing his self-​produced work at Hune Company, he has worked with Pam MacKinnon, Edward Albee, Dexter Bullard, Lisa Portes, Carlos Murillo, Leonard Foglia, Joan Font, the Houston Grand Opera, and The Inconvenience among others. Hune has been involved in the creation or rehabilitation of multiple arts organizations. He has taught at the Alley Theatre, Prairie View A&M University, and HS for the Performing and Visual Arts (Theatre and Creative Writing). He is an alumnus of The Theatre School at DePaul University and a recipient of the National Foundation of Advancement in the Arts award for Theatre.
