Mmkay lets just say this place has one of the best oxtail dishes!!! I mean… C’MOOONNNNNN!!! I had the ½ oxtail dish and it still was tooo much!!! You get 3 oxtails (well I did), rice, gravy, side dish and cornbread! Perfectly seasoned oxtails and gravy, no extra fat allll meat! The mac n’ cheese is pretty good. But I’m just hear for the oxtails!!! Make sure you stop by this truck, it wont let you down. The owners are super nice and super fast! My food was boxed and ready before I even swiped my card! I just hope they come back to my Apartments again, if not I will hunt them down for those oxtails!

I can’t attest to the food but the driver of the truck is a complete jackass. Hobbies of his include, but are not limited to: brake checking other drivers, flipping people off, swerving across three lanes of traffic, and attempting to stop diagonally across the road for the sole purpose of blocking drivers. Seriously, what are you thinking? In a BRANDED vehicle to behave so atrociously is downright despicable.

Great loaded catfish sandwich. Good taste, complemented well by nice soft fries. Look forward to trying more menu items… can’t wait!

Now that I’ve been to this food truck 3 times it finally warrants a proper review. Houston’s finest offers quite the selection of soul food ranging from smothered oxtail, fried fish, wings and hamburgers. What impresses me most about the truck is that they seem to give each item the exact same amount of attention when preparing. Everything I’ve had has been equally good. To that point I’ve had the loaded fried catfish sandwich which completely surprised me. My expectations were not that high to be honest as good fried catfish is hard to come by in my opinion. The two fillets on the sandwich are lightly battered then fried just right making the fish almost light and very moist. Served on Texas toast with accompanying lettuce, tomato and onions. Other fried options include shrimp and chicken tenders. Would venture these items are good as well based on frying technique of the catfish. Next up are the wings which again surprised me. Perfectly fried (not breaded) and sauced appropriately with the right amount of heat. Today I tried the bacon cheeseburger. I couldn’t believe how tasty this burger was and how well cooked. No pretentious feel about it. Just straight up flat topped cooked good old fashioned American burger. Sometimes the simple things really are the best in life. It was probably at least a 6 oz to 8 oz patty. In fact bordering on maybe a hair too big for a lunch portion. Hated to leave that last bite. All these meals are served with hand cut fries. Fries have varied from visit to visit. Sometimes just warm to flat out hot. Either way they are good as well. Fortunately they have visited my office area the last 3 Wednesdays and all my coworkers have the same opinion. Can’t beat that!
Food Disclaimer. Be forewarned… If you get the burger it might result in side effects. Side effects could include but not limited to: Reduced productivity, food coma and finally unexplained development of narcolepsy.
Tips: Suggest omitting the tomato from the catfish sandwich. It sog’s up the bread over time unless you like that kind of thing.
Give these guys a shot. Promise they will not disappoint. I might increase the rating once I’ve made it through more menu items. :-)

Great Mac and cheese corn bread. Pork chop a tiny bit salty for me but had great flavor. Would give it a try again. My co-​workers split three entrees and loved the shrimp.
