Hough of Hough, formerly Over The Top Linen, is a specialty linen rental company. Our Houston Heights showroom features collections of linens, napkins, chair treatments and charger plates. We encourage our clients to schedule a consultation so they can experience firsthand the guided selection process from our seasoned sales associates. Engaging in weddings, corporate events, or any celebration at all, we look forward to serving all of our clients with exceptional service!

History

Established in 2005.

House of Hough’s owner, Clara Hough, started her specialty rental company over 10 years ago and has slowly but steadily grown into Houston’s leading linen company. Originally from Venezuela, Clara moved to Houston and earned a Business degree from the Bauer College at the University of Houston. Using her business skills and experience in the hospitality industry, she began House of Hough with the goal to create a company that can provide clients with amazing service and beautiful linens for their biggest life events. House of Hough has continually grown its specialty linen, napkin, chair treatment, and charger plate inventory to give clients the best quality and gorgeous styles. House of Hough continues to grow its inventory and strive to provide our clients with exceptional service!

Business Owner

Clara is originally from Venezuela and a University of Houston alumni. With a background in catering, she decided to launch Over The Top Linen in 2006, which quickly became one of Houston’s top fine linen rental companies. Clara has been awarded the «Up and Coming Supplier of the Year» Award for Texas Meetings & Events Magazine and the Baumann/​Reinheardt Member of the Year for the Houston Chapter of NACE. She earned her CPCE designation in 2010 and currently serves as President of the NACE Houston Chapter. In her office there is a quote that reads «Find a job you love and you’ll never have to work a day in your life», these are words she lives by every day.

I visited the House of Hough showroom a couple of times last week and was completely blown away by the presentation, customer service, and quality of linens. Unfortunately, I will probably be going with another company for linens. This is only because I fell in love with one particular linen that House of Hough does not carry. I was extremely bummed about this because House of Hough has been so amazing throughout all my appointments. Rachel has been so attentive via email, phone, and even coming in on Saturday for me. I rarely will write a review, but I have to give Rachel a huge shoutout! It is apparent that she loves her job, and is extremely competent. I usually know exactly what I want and don’t care for opinions, but I sought Rachel’s opinion as much as I could. Fortunately, I have 5 girls in my wedding party that are newly engaged. I will definitely be referring them to House of Hough.

House of Hough was one of my top three vendors I loved working with for my October wedding. I was a confused bride and had a hard time coming up with a flow for my reception. But each one of my several visits to House of Hough was pleasurable and they gave me their expert styling advice. They have several options and their showroom really helps you to play around with the fabrics and see what would be perfect if you are the visual type like me. The staff was so nice and accommodating. They were patient, organized, and always willing to work with me. It’s like it was their wedding! I cannot thank them enough! Make sure you call in to make an appointment though because they get booked and they want to make sure that they have quality time to spend with you to customize your day.

Had a great experience with the team at House of Hough, particularly Katy and Natalie. They spent time with me via email and in the showroom helping me pull all sorts of options for my daughter’s birthday party. My event requirements/​size was much less than that of their typical events, but you wouldn’t know it based on the level of service I received.

Katy with Over The Top linen was just incredible. My venue and my wedding coordinator recommended OTT, and my experience was great. They were very patient with me (I had no idea what I wanted)… and customer service was just great. The day of the wedding, the linens looks spectacular (and I was on a budget… didn’t get anything too extravagant). Thanks, Katy!

This one of the best experiences I have since I begin planning my wedding. Natalie D. was the best. Great ideas, creative, can execute your vision beyond your expectation. I used Over the Top Linen for my wedding on May 31, 2014 and I have nothing but good things to say about them. I worked with Katy, she was great, very helpful. I met with her twice to finalize everything, they showed up at the reception venue early and set up everything without any issues. It all went so smoothly and looked beautiful.
