History

Established in 1981.

Hopping Eye Associates was established in 1981 by Drs. Ronald and Desiree Hopping. Since then the practice has grown to include three additional Therapeutic Optometrists, Dr. Vissett Sun, Dr. Martin Prati and Dr. Reed Hopping. In 2007 a second location was opened in the Friendswood area. Our five doctors offer a wide range of specialties, giving us the ability to take care of all ages of patients, from infants to the elderly. We have added several state of the art instruments that help our doctors in diagnosing retinal abnormalities, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration and glaucoma, in some cases up to five years earlier.
