History
Established in 2011.
HI-Houston is one of the newest additions to the HI-USA network, which consists of 57 hostels in the US and over 4,000 hostels worldwide.
The hostel is a beautiful historic mansion once owned by a City of Houston Mayor. Beat the Texas heat by taking a dip in our outdoor pool and dry off in the shade of the gazebo. Relax in our cozy hammock or come inside and bond with other travelers in our living room and TV room. Our helpful staff will show you Houston’s hidden gems, like crawfish boils and icehouses turned bars. Spend a day wandering through Houston’s famous Museum District with 20 museums and galleries or take a day trip out to Space Center Houston, the official visitors’ center of NASA’s Lyndon B. Johnson Space Center.
Hostelling International USA is a 501©(3) non profit organization that seeks «to help all, especially the young, gain a greater understanding of the world and its people through hostelling.»
