Hetman, Jeff DPM FACFAS

Can’t speak to Dr. Hetman, but I had dealings/​conversations with several staff members prior to my appointment and all were unpleasant. The morning of my appt., I called to say I never received the email to create online patient portal, and the girl was so rude saying «I just resent it» and trying to get off the phone. I finally asked what email address she was sending it to, and the they had it wrong! Here they were rude to me and they were sending it incorrectly! No apology, nothing. I cancelled the appt. and will not reschedule. He may be a great doctor, but it starts with your staff.

I have to take a moment to say what a wonderful job Dr. Hetman did in removing my moderate bunion on 23^rd January! It has been three weeks, and I am really impressed. I get my stitches out tomorrow, Monday 9^th, and have had quite a speedy recovery. I was really skeptical about getting the surgery done, although I was in quite a bit of pain due to the bunion. Dr. Hetman took his time and explained exactly what needed to be done, and what was expected of me. I have heard horror stories of people taking 4 – 5 weeks before going up stairs, etc, but with Dr. Hetman, I was doing a lot of these things the NEXT day! Even on my follow up visit, when he removed my dressings, I noticed that, unlike some other surgeons, he took the time to make a nice straight cut, to perform the surgery. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Hetman!

I walked in with foot pain and walked out with none! I was very impressed with Dr. Hetman and his office staff. I was greeted so warmly at the front desk, and every other staff member I met was very pleasant.
I felt listened to and was not pressured into any difficult or complicated procedures. I went in thinking I would need surgery, and Dr. Hetman assured me we would explore several options as the goal is to keep me out of the OR. Woohoo!
I highly recommend Dr. Hetman as I’ve been to two other podiatrists in the area (one rated as a «top doc» in the area) and was not impressed at all. Dr. Hetman is honest and up front. I really appreciate that!

I’ve gone to Dr. Moskowitz and Dr. Hetman over the years for a variety of foot probs and surgeries. I have always been treated professionally by both doctors. Yes, their bedside manners are quite different. I was satisfied with the treatment. Also, when insurance probs developed, the staff worked with me to resolve the problems. My experience with Foot specialists of Memorial has been all positive.

Saw dr hetman today for foot pain I’ve had beneath my big toe. Altogether had pretty poor bedside manner as he did not want to hear my story. Seemed like he downplayed my pain like it was no big deal.
Got charged 275 $ because of the X-​ray (the cost of which I was not told until after), foot wrap, and office visit. I have high deductible insurance so I had to foot the bill. I wish doc offices would be clear about the charges up front.
The worst thing is that my foot feels worse after the wrapping. Definitely not going back for my follow up.
