I got to the point were I go to the new store in Pearland. People are rude and they never have the organic products I like. Kroger on Sabo has way more organic items than this HEB.

Every time I go to this heb they give great service. From people handing out the samples to the cashiers. One great experience was where a cashier started talking to my fiancé and I and she noticed that we had the family meal deal item but had not gotten any of the other free items. So she asked the other attendant to make sure that we did have the right main item and then proceeded to go back into the main store to find the items for us then scan each of the items along with the coupon. All we did was wait an extra 3 – 5 minutes. This to me is exemplary service! Definitely love this heb!

Their prices are great! The selection they have is awesome as well. There are so many people working it makes the check out time fast comprared to other places and also organized. Theres people in every area of the store such as the bakery and floral and they always ask if they can help us with something.

The music playing is always EXCELLENT! Seriously. It’s like a 70s-​90s dance party every time I go shopping. Everyone is always in a great mood and very friendly. I live on the other side of 45, and used to shop at the Kroger on Sabo/​beltway. It’s well worth to make the extra trip to come here. They have much, much better produce, both in terms of quality and quantity. They have much better staff. They always have plenty of check-​out lines open. At Kroger, it seems like the self-​checkout is the only option. And the prices at HEB are pretty comparable. Plus, their «off brand» is waaaaay better than the Kroger off brand.
So why not 5 stars? My only complaint is that there aren’t as many organic/“central market” offerings as there are at other HEBs, and there is no bulk food section.
But it’s definitely the best place to buy groceries in the south belt area.

Late groceries shopping! I’m glad HEB is open. They don’t close until 12am. Everyone is smiling and very happy. The store is organized and clean! I bet Charles Butt is a proud owner of HEB!!! Thank you everyone for the great experience that I had with this HEB. Keep up the good the work guys!

My neighborhood HEB. Always fresh produce and good prices on meat. I used to shop at Fiesta, I know the difference now. This is the only place to shop in SE Houston.

Been coming here for three yrs now and loved how close it is to my house. There are not many HEBs around town but I have seen more and more being built. Only thing is that I visited another HEB in the spring area and saw that their fruit prices were lower than the ones at this location, What’s Up With That? Can’t understand why peaches are so expensive this yr. Well at least I don’t have to stand in line for an hour, walmart has lost all my business just because of the short staff. HEBs food is a lot fresher. Hope to see better things in the future. Plus I like the Whataburger items they now sell!

I love this HEB. They have top notch produce, seafood and bakery. They open up registers if the lines are too long. I sometimes tend to overspend in this store because of the quality of their food. The HEB brand foods are way better than the Kroger brand foods.
The folks in the meat and seafood department are so helpful. They go out of there way for good customer service. One time, they ran out of ground chuck patties in the cooler that were on sale, the Meat Man made patties while i waited.
I love establishments that act as if they appreciate my business. HEB fits the bill.

It’s finally declined to the point that I won’t shop here anymore unless I just can’t drive to Whole Foods or to a farm stand. But first, the positives: The produce is more fresh than what’s sold in competing local grocery stores, and it’s more varied when measured by the same standard. It is restocked on Thursdays — the best time to shop! But when I started getting my produce from a CSA (community supported agriculture), H-​E-​B lost its appeal. Another plus, the store is clean, the staff are friendly, and the lines are short.
Now, why I don’t shop here anymore: I want grassfed meat, which just isn’t available in any type of variety, quantity or quality from this H-​E-​B. I also want tortillas made without chemicals — and at least without hydrogenated fats, but it’s not sold here. Even the fresh tortillas have hydrogenated fats. I want bread — real bread made from four, water, yeast and salt. Everything sold here is artificial. Then there’s the dairy problem. The cheese selection is poor, even to the average consumer. I want goat milk or grassfed milk, or even just milk from pastured cows, but all their milk comes from poorly rated industrial suppliers where the cows are not treated well at all and the taste of the milk suffers. Yogurt is another issue. The variety of plain, natural yogurts is poor. The frozen food section similarly offers little for conscientious eaters.
There used to more offered here for the enlightened shopper, but those products are gradually being removed from the shelves. Even the more main-​line Kashi cereals are limited now. This grocery store definitely caters to the less healthy, less educated consumers. It’s a shame because there are a bunch of consumers like me in my neighborhood, and we all drive elsewhere to shop.

Ok I came here the other night with my dad. We both thought we were going to spend an arm and a leg here, we filled our basket up with things we really needed like juice, breakfast food, meat, cheese, and other stuff. Our basket was full.
We get to the checkout line us both thinking we are going to spend about $ 100+ on groceries (because you all know food is now expensive) and we didn’t. An estimated total of 20+ things in our basket cost us only $ 88. My dad and I were super happy.
Also there is this place in HEB, its a cell phone place in which an Indian guy works it. He is really nice, doesn’t give you any attitude. I needed to look for me a new phone since mines the microphone died. :(The guy told us that the cheapest phone he had was some Pantech pursuit. I don’t care for basic phones because I know I aint goin to be talking to everybody in the world. Great Customer service, he also carries jewelry for us females. VERY PRETTY, and beautiful. Rings are fairly expensive on a count will you purchasing real cubic zirconium rings, and bracelets. But I rather see what Harwin has first.
HEB IS WAY CHEAPER THAN WALMART, THOUGH IT STILL HAS A BUNCH OF PEOPLE. People will be everywhere, its America.
Oh and they have the best fresh tortillas. Made right in front of your face, I like that.

How I miss this HEB.
I really don’t understand how people can complain about it. Try going to the Fountain View HEB and then you’ll love this HEB.
The parking is plentiful even if you have to park at the end of the lot.
There are always plenty of baskets/​shopping carts available.
They have a gas station conveniently located.
The store’s layout was well-​planned.
They have a drive-​thru pharmacy thingy.
They have a bunch of registers, a BUNCH.
The staff has always been friendly.
Although it does get busy and crowded, at least it’s a controlled chaos and people fit because this store is quite big.

This HEB is huge but it seems like in the past few months it is heading the way of the Pantry concept. I like to buy stuck up things once in a while — you know, nice cheeses, Central Market junk, but it’s just not as available here.
I give it a year before it’s all sticky floors and screaming children a la Gulfgate.

Everything is bigger in Texas, or at least that’s what I’ve heard. The notion was never more true when I visited H-​E-​B, which appropriately stands for: «Here Everything Is Better (and bigger?)» It’s no exaggeration, I came away extremely impressed, if not slightly overwhelmed.
It seems like this mega supermarket /​wholesale goods store has a little bit of everything. It’s like a Costco sized Safeway with Walmart Supercenter like prices. Inventory here is vast and the prices remind me of Winco back out west (i.e. very inexpensive).
I came here for a holiday weekend armed with coupons from a local newspaper and I wasn’t the only one doing so. It was a mob scene out here, shoppers were grabbing everything from slabs of fish to hocks of ham and even multiple helpings of food samples (ok, just me).
Parking is plentiful and workers here are quick to help when I needed to find an item. They keep the place clean and well organized. I came away so impressed, I wish there HEBs where I am living. It’s places like this that make living in surburbia that much more appealing.

I bank, shop & eat here!.. Great prices

I’m a huge spaz. As I was driving home on Beltway 8, I spotted this HEB, and figured I’d fulfill my post-​drinking cheese needs by popping in here. I’d been here once before, and I had the impression that it had a wide selection of items, because I remember my friend taking a picture of a bag of something that had the word «cock» on it. It’s huge, but the selection wasn’t extensive in the way I wanted; the cheese section was pretty standard for any ol’ HEB, as was the organics section (I dunno, what if I wanted an organic Bartlett pear with my Colston-​Bassett stilton?). Basically, I had this confused with a Central Market. However, there’s a good variety of more «ethnic» food (y’know what I mean), the bakery has Mi Tienda goods, and there’s a really good wine/​beer section, including a choose-​six-​for-​less-​dinero deal. It’s clean and is huge (um, hello, my granny, who exercises by walking around in malls, could totally get her fitness on here). However, if you’re in the ‘burbs and are looking for better cheese than your typical grocery store, then go to your updated Kroger. Also, as you’re leaving, pay attention and don’t drive in the opposite direction, so that you only realize you wen tthe wrong way ten minutes later.

I have always found this store to be clean and the staff very friendly. There is always someone willing to help, be it finding an item or helping me load my car in the rain!
The design of the store is no different than Central Market. And while it may be a grocery store, it is still a business, and with that the point is to sell things.

The meat and seafood department offer a wide selection of items. All top qaulity.
And while this HEB is not as nice as the one in Friendswood, it is a good store to shop at, one I’m glad is near my home.

Despite not being the closest market to our home, this very clean jewel is our new place to get groceries.
This market is new and very clean. Service include a fresh Fish Market, Meat Counter, and a Bakery with fresh tortillas.
The best part is the customer service. Management there must take a lot of time with the staff because they’re always super polite and helpful which now days almost unheard of.
I recommend. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is I can’t get a decent loaf of sourdough baget to save my soul.
