I’ve been going to this grocery store for years I remember when it was Albertson’s in that location. However, my longstanding patronage to this store ended today. There have been a number of times that I have purchased containers of fruit, Almond Breeze milk along with other items from this store only to get home and find out the items are molded or were sold past the expiration date. This recently happened yesterday so today I returned the Halos(oranges) that I purchased and spoke with a «manager» by the name of Rohn. Initially he tried to explain that the Halo were in a bad location near the door because of store renovations. I told him that I understood but that doesn’t explain the other incidents so he offered to refund my money back or replace the item. I was fine with receiving a refund then he says«Not to be rude but… Why do you keep buying expired items from us»? Seriously… How rude? What type of question is that to ask a paying customer? As if I want to buy my groceries only to have to get back in my car navigate through traffic and return them. Although I was deeply offended I politely explained to him that at the time I purchased the items I had no idea they were expired and furthermore why are you selling items that are expired? The Almond Breeze I bought shouldn’t have even been on the shelf the expiration date was six months past due!!! Not to mention, Almond Breeze isn’t like a gallon of milk the container is dark and the expiration date is discreet. Either way, I don’t get paid to stock the shelves. I don’t get paid to shop there I’m giving them my hard earned money and going out of my way to do so because I pass two Kroger’s and a Randall’s to get to HEB. Well it won’t happen again because I won’t be back under any circumstance. I let him know that and he didn’t care he happily drove off a long term customer. Please think twice about shopping here as we have much better options truthfully Kroger’s is cheaper and it’s open later too and the fruit is way better. I could go on and on but I’d rather not. Hope this helps someone.

I really like this grocery store I personally find it had enter deals and saving than Kroger or other grocery stores. Now really don’t get me wrong I like Kroger because they offer you points on gas and stuff to save money but this place will save you money when you grocery shop because they have deals all the time. I find HEB is really cool they aren’t as recognized as they should be but I definitely like shopping here it doesn’t hurt my wallet as much as going to Kroger would. That’s why I like going here I’d definitely recommend getting your groceries here.

This place is great. Best part is if i ask for a certain kind of meat, they try to work with my recipe incase i get too literal with what im told to look for

This is the closest HEB to my home and it does the job as far as grocery stores go. It’s a smaller one and doesn’t have all the items as the larger scale ones but if u ask they will definitely order it. Customer service is outstanding. Sample Saturday is never lacking. I was always taught not to go grocery shopping hungry but please do as you won’t leave that way. The bakery makes fresh cakes and they decorate fairly well. The produce is fresh and reasonably priced. The seafood is as close to fresh as you can get without going to Kemah.

I’m reasonably convinced this is the worst examples of one of the best grocery chains in America. Which don’t mean it’s good by any stretch. Randall’s is just down the street.

Let me start by saying this store really is pretty great for its size. I am new to the area, so I was thrilled at the location. It is super convenient because it is on my way to work so I shopped there a couple times a day — it was super easy to pick up stuff for work in the morning and pick up items for dinner on the way home. I spent hundreds of dollar there a week — every week for the month I have been in Houston. I will also say that I do not believe this is an accepted practice for HEB — I was never treated so rudely in San Antonio. The attitude at the store is generally just weird — some of the staff are really amazing and they do have a lot of diversity on their team — that is great and had made me very proud to be a regular customer. While they do have several hard workers, there are many times some of the cashiers over share or even talk crap about customers that just walked out. That behavior is very unprofessional and disconcerting. After being accosted by one of their managers in the drive way, I will not be returning. He didn’t apologize for taking my time or show me any consideration. He didn’t explain the situation — he just said he wanted to go through my bag. He went through my bag after I offered him my receipt, then told me I could go now. I was already in the parking lot and stopped voluntarily when he was shouting from the front of the store. It was humiliating and rude. Such unprofessional behavior and a crappy way to treat customers. He treated me as if he just hadn’t found whatever he thought I had stolen. I have never seen this sort of behavior at any other HEB — so I assume it is just poor management at this store — either way, I will not be going back when I can gladly take my money else where. So disappointed with the attitude of some of the staff — This is NOT my HEB any longer, I will happily drive out of my way to go to Kroger.

The Management here is so rude. Never going back. My business is going to Kroger. They stopped customers in the middle of the street to go through ther bags after they checked out and were no longer in the store. Not appropriate. If they want to go through my stuff they need to do it like Sams club and not single people out. And do so in the store were it’s air conditioned. The story was that some walked out with a cart of groceries. But the decription was a middle-aged white guy not my wife. Then they didn’t even apologize to her when they discovered they had the wrong person. What jerks. So they lost two customers that day. Never going back. Kroger’s produce is fresher any way and there closer anyway.

This HEB is not close to home, but when I’m in this area, I always stop in. The customer service is always great and spot-on. They always seem to have specials along with plenty of samples. I especially love the large selection of beers for a make-your-own-six-pack. I’ve even purchased a dutch oven from here. They also have probiotics, but the selections and the placement of them is quite awkward. It seems like they just wanted to be able to say: yeah, we got ‘em/we carry ‘em. But I really do appreciate the fact that they even carry probiotics, and I don’t have to go to Whole Foods or Central Market. I’ve always wondered why some people swear by HEB, but I found out. I noticed several yellow tags that were obviously coupons. In short, today, if your purchased 1 ham or brisket, you were offered no fewer than 5 free items. I opted to purchase a pack of sausage(a flavor that I have never tried), and I received a free bag of charcoal. So, I’m able to try something new and cross one item off my list – win, win. If there is something that is usually in stock at an HEB, but you aren’t able to locate it here, just ask & an associate seems to be always be able to direct you in the right place or be sure to obtain it from«behind the scenes.» I don’t know about being a regular(because of the location), but I’ll definitely continue to stop by when I’m in the area.

Made a stop here on our way back from Kemah for grocery shopping. Nice size for the location, they had plenty of good things just like all the other HEB’s in the area. There is no café on the run here but they do sell items that are pre-packaged that are from their Café on the Run. I was able to pick my favorite kale almond/cranberry salad there. We were in and out pretty quick, good layout. I recommend HEB over any other chained grocery store in TX. Love it!

I love this HEB! I would agree with others that it is not the fanciest HEB around town. But this is by far the most convenient location for me, and I have never found myself wanting to go to another HEB(or any grocery store) instead. My favorite things about this store: –SAMPLES! They always have good samples and I literally make an afternoon out of going to HEB to see what they are sampling(and of course to buy my groceries). I am not ashamed to say that I often replace my Sunday lunch with free samples(and that the sample people are starting to recognize me). –Huge selection of hair care products — they have an entire aisle devoted to salon brand hair products. Very impressive. –Good selection of everything else. No it is not the best selection, because there have been 3 items that I have never been able to find there(2 are specific Gatorade products, one is ALLNATURAL or organic shampoo, which surprises me because of their large selection of shampoos). But for the most part I find what I need at this store. –Fast check-outs. I don’t remember ever having waited more than 3 minutes to check out at this store. Give this store a try — you will like it! Remember to bring your reusable bags because they periodically do a drawing and you can win $ 20 just for using your own bags.

3.5 stars! I get a kick out of this store. they always have some sort of thing they’ve made and piled on a display, such as garlic hummus, or Hatch green chile salsa, etc. Good selection of produce, pretty fresh. A big selection of mediocre, but cheap wine. A fair selection of beers. They only have Fat Tire from Colorado, so that makes me both happy and sad at the same time. It blows my mind that there are only two Whole Foods around here given the shitload of people in the Houston area. WTF? And only two TJs way on the other side of town? I better gas up and find 5 hours to drive across town…

This is clearly my place to grocery shop. They have a great Deli, Meat Market, Seafood, Bakery, and the cherry on top… fresh tortillas. Prices are superior to all other local grocers(Krogers, Randalls, Arlans) and customer service is second to none. I try to shop at other places, but find myself back at HEB because of their house brands and local products(like breads and seafood).

I just bought HEB brand Canadian Bacon and it is fantastic! Very fresh! Thick enough so you can really taste it! Wonderful product. You can find it right next to the bacon in the very first aisle down from cheeses, grated and otherwise. I LOVE this HEB because it carries some Central Market goodies, but they still carry all the essentials at reasonable prices. They also have enough checkers in the afternoon when it is really busy in there!

Usually in and out. No long lines to wait in. This HEB isn’t to big, but it’s stocked with what your looking for. The meats are fresh, and the ice cream cold.

I love my HEB even though it’s not as fancy as some of the other locations I’ve been to. But it’s close to my house and generally has the things I want in a grocery store, especially fresh tortillas. They run out super fast though and sometimes if I wait until after work to pick some up they’ll be completely out forcing me to decide if I want to get those ready-to-cook dough ones or the generic too-bready-with-no-flavor variety. They have a really nice selection of olive and other assorted cooking oils which is important when you’re making homemade bath products and you need to find things like coconut and safflower oil with Vitamin E. For some reason the cashiers at this location are always super friendly. Every time I check out I can’t not be in a good mood and more often than not I always end up in a conversation about some random thing while I’m checking out. Also I love the flower section. I hate that it’s right next to the 10 items or less lane though since that’s usually where you’ll find me unless I am doing some major grocery shopping(which is rare). Every time I get in that lane I am tempted to buy some fresh flowers since they also look so pretty. In the summer they always have huge bunches of Gladiolas for super cheap and I love that I can keep fresh flowers in my apartment all summer without breaking the bank.
