I’m never coming back here. It’s not about“you get what you pay for.” It’s about«do what you say what you’re going to do for the price you said.» This guy is a crook to his core. First off, I bought a computer here about 2 – 3 years ago that was a high quality, refurbished Dell Vostro V130. When I got it home, a few years ago, it kept asking me to enter the product key. Believing this should have been taken care of, I thought little of it until I could no longer work my Microsoft Office applications. When I came back to get it taken care of, the gentleman who sold me the computer charged me $ 50 to uninstall the software and put the same software back on the computer. Knowing he still did not put in the product key, which was the real problem, I asked him about that because the error came up again. He finally took care of the problem, I was satisfied, and I left. I figured he surely wouldn’t try to pull the wool over my eyes as to what he did again, right? HELLNO! About four months ago, I purchased an adapter for my Dell computer from here after two power cords from Dell computers I had purchased from here stopped working. No problem there. This is common on Dell computers. However, he sold me another one for $ 35 and it stopped working recently as well. He sold me another one for $ 45 today. I figured you get what you pay for, right? That’s just the beginning of where things became beyond repair as far as me ever coming back here again. Next paragraph to break this down. I wanted to purchase a tablet. Of course, they didn’t have any. He let me know that he could upgrade my computer for $ 150. I asked him if he would be putting newer software. No, he said he would be installing the same Windows 7 Ultimate I already had on my computer with a reformat. When I asked him why would he not upgrade it to Windows 8, he said«it would be confusing for you.» Pardon my language, but the fucking bastard said that(Let me know if I need to clean up my language on this. I am not a fan of cussing in a professional setting, but this guy was such a weasel). The next thing I tell you is what caused me to finally cut ties with him. I wanted to max out my hard drive with 8GB of RAM. A family member of mine has been recommending this to me for a long time. He said 4GB would be for $ 100. I asked him about 8GB. He said, «It’s going to be expensive.» I asked, «How much?» He said, «$ 150.» Thinking nothing of it, I paid that. He called me later to say that when he got to the shop, he found out my computer could only hold 4GB, but it would be just like the 8GB and would be the same cost. He had already put the 4GB in my computer, and I had already paid for the service before he told me this information. Unfortunately, on the receipt I plan to upload on here, he only wrote«RAM» rather than 8GB of RAM. Basically, I paid $ 373.46 for all of his services and he didn’t deliver 100% on anything. I came back the next day, got my computer and the following dialogue took place: Me: How much RAM did you put on my computer? RG: 4GB Me: Didn’t you tell me that 4GB would be $ 100 and 8GB would be $ 150? RG: I told you that over the phone. Me: Right, but by the time you told me you had already upgraded it and I had already paid, right? RG: … Me: Why didn’t you put 8GB on my computer? RG: I didn’t know until I got to the shop that it could only hold 8GB. Me: You didn’t know, and I bought this computer from you over two years ago? RG: It was refurbished when I bought it Me: So, you didn’t know when you first bought this computer and sold it to me what the specifications were? Ok. A few months ago, you sold me a power cord that is now defective for $ 35. You charged me $ 45 for another one yesterday. It’s not about the money, but I have spent almost $ 2000 over the years. It’s not about the money when a person is spending $ 373. It’s about delivering what you say you are going to do. RG: [some things I took to be weaseling out again] Me:(I storm out) Later, he called me at least five times claiming that since I was dissatisfied that he would offer me a $ 50 gift card and/or the laptop he let me borrow. If anyone reading this wants it, go there and ask them if you can have my laptop and/or $ 50 because it was never about the money for me. I will not be back here. If you see him walking down the street, RUN! He’s a weasel. BTW, the first indication I should have known this place was shady was the fact that they have different names on everything. For instance, here on Unilocal they are«Global Electronics.» They used to be called«Laptop Warehouse.» A lady who used to be their secretary, I would hear her answer the phone, «Laptops.» The receipt they gave me says«The Computer Superstore.» Just behind that receipt, the receipt with the charges just shows«Computer Super Store.» If you run into any of these names at the 1313 S Loop West, Houston, TX77054 location, keep away. Please, understand that this review is written in love.
