We have Italian Comfort food, hand-​tossed brick oven Pizza, mouthwatering seafood and Healthy entrees that satisfy your mind and body. We have a gluten free menu available, as well. Just ask!

Our wine list boasts inexpensive, tasteful wines for your mid-​week family meals and unique, indulging wines for that special occasion.

George’s will come to you. We cater 6 to 600. Schools love us for their large events because we offer delicious and reasonably priced catering.

History

Established in 1987.

We recently reached a milestone of 25 years!

George (the owner) moved from New York to Texas and could not find a casual Italian Restaurant with good food. After graduating from Baylor, he worked at many restaurants before opening his first George’s Pastaria on corner of Richmond and Fondren. We have been through several incarnations since then and in 2005 opened our true «neighborhood restaurant» on Dairy Ashford. We have many, many customers and their children who have been eating with us for 25 years. George, and his wife, Rene, look forward to serving you a friendly meal in our cozy dining room. You will likely run into your friends… we do!

Welcome to George’s. I helped George open the restaurant over 26 years ago! What a ride!

I take care of the wine list for the restaurant and I am happy to help you select a wine to enjoy with your dinner. My favorite thing is to find unique and attractively priced wines to add to our wine list. I like to introduce our patrons to new regions, varietals and wineries that they have never experienced before. When my customers love them… it is the highlight of my day!
