It’s ok. We basically just go skating all the time because the games are always out of service and the fryers and stoves are usually broken when we try to order food… 3-​stars for the skating rink (the floor is jacked up tho) the full liquor bar and bowling alley. That’s about it. The party packages and food is high as hell for NOTHING! But my son loves this place for some odd reason. The rides are for little kids and all the go carts go slow as if your a senior citizen! Lol! Yep, that’s about it! Lol

Disgrace! Urine Stench in the «carpet» and «vent system». Do not to business with this facility. I was planning on hosting an event for my son’s 1^st birthday at the end of the month. I reserved the desired package and time frame and made my deposit over the phone with a representative, who I might add was indeed helpful and kind. I not only reserved the deluxe package for 10 children, I also reserved a more private area for an additional $ 150. I just so happened to go into the facility the following day to view the private «café» area to get a visual of how I would decorate the room to my theme. Upon visiting, we saw the café area which not only has no walls so is not exactly private but it is super dated. I was fine with that just for the simple fact that this party is something that was put together last minute. I was fine with settling in hopes I could decorate it to create a better visual atmosphere. After sitting down for lunch with my family we walked around to see the different activities and games to find out that down two major game areas in the facility it reeked of URINE. I mean it was a super strong stench that was everywhere. Not in one area like by one game but down both game areas to the right when you enter. Front and back hallways. With me being pregnant I knew I couldn’t stand to be there 5 minutes let alone 3 hours. My 5 year old daughter and husband even complained so I know it wasn’t my sensitive nose. I then went to customer service to make them aware of my concern, which I’m sure wasn’t the first time they heard this, and I then asked for my deposit back. Which after ten minutes of waiting I was told it was non refundable. $ 50? I by no means need $ 50 but it was about the principle at this point. I wasn’t told of this major issue when I reserved my party so why should I be penalized?
They informed me that they were working on the issue and they are changing the vents and getting the carpet cleaned and kept insisting that the problem would be fixed by next week and to keep the booked party space. Mind you I was about to spend $ 500+ on this party and even had my daughters birthday coming up the following month so from a business stand point they were about to miss out on $ 1000+ just for a funky $ 50 they wouldn’t refund. I could go on about my experience but the moral of this story is. The owners/​operators are poor business people that send these young women to voucher for them on a matter that’s above them. And they obviously don’t maintain the cleanliness that you want want your child playing in or around. 6÷14÷16

Went with small group, about 4 kids, ages 4 — 7. They had a great time, tons of things for them to do. I was a little worried when I read the reviews and saw the area, but the afternoon was good. Kids favorite part was the bowling and «Play Port».
I’d like to give kudos to the floor manager on Sat April 30^th late afternoon. She was doing a terrific job of making sure everyone was happy and asking if she could help anyone. Also, kudos to our waitress in the bowling area, Brandy. She got me my Pomegranate Martini!!! Both these ladies are assets.

It’s Tuesday at 5pm nothing is open, the go carts, the trampoline, the roller rink, the place where the kids play, (the play port). The restaurant inside, waste of time coming here. I came here in 2013 like every week and it was open. No one cares, I asked the manager if they can open the play port and she said they couldn’t because they were «cleaning the ball pit and the days is open is from Thursday to Sunday. Don’t waste your time here, go somewhere else

The only thing good about this place was the food being ready fast and brought to us. Half the games did not work. Machines didn’t have tickets and when brought to their attention of them not working they did nothing about it. Will never go back again.

Great cheap place to go bowling Monday through Thursday because they have specials. I like this place, don’t know why they have such bad reviews.

Ok games but over 50% are not working. The ones that are don’t give tickets out. Not impressed. Such a shame for a nice facility. Clearly has potential but is poorly poorly executed

Dirty, run down, and smells bad. Scary clientele. This place literally triggered nightmares for my husband after we went there with our daughter.

I gave it 3 stars because they dont have the option to add a person to a game nor the option to rent shoes to a person if they decided to switch play games with another person, its a pathetic rule especially that u’re paying alot of money with a group of 5 ppl. The Allies were clean & my girls had fun

This place is poorly operated. For example, the go kart area has a table full of waivers off to the side of the entrance and from my experience it’s hit or miss on if you are asked to fill one out. There were 5 people running the go karts and they all stood around chatting and not informing by the customers of how the system runs. They only let 3 or 4 cars go at once so even if the line appears short it takes a very long time to get through. This place has such a high potential to succeed but it is poorly run and I don’t think I will be returning anytime soon.

This place should’ve been closed a long time ago. Came here for a birthday party. Haven’t been here since I was a kid and I remember why. Customer service horrible. Games do not work. Skating rink have holes in it. The play slide for children had a screw hanging out. A kid cut himself and they wiped it clean with a paper towel. The best part of it all was my card was disabled and because it was reported stolen. The card was in my possession the entire time. Management refused to reinstate my card without a receipt. That would have been easy to prove had they given me one but of course their machine was out of paper. This place is a big joke.

Man this place has been around forever. It used to be more poppin’ back in its glory days as said before but it is still an effective place for families.
My wife and I took my son and little sister there and they had an absolute blast playing in the playport. The place looks so fun and made me want to play and go down the slide :-P. As a kid I always wanted to go play in the playport but my parents deprived me of the experience. From the outside it doesnt look like much but it blew my expectations with how large it really is and the variety of things a child can do in the playport. It is a little bit «ghetto» in some area but they can be overlooked.
Has an awesome bowling alley, skating rink, video game area and ferris wheel, as well as rides and a go kart rink so theres a good variety to have a fun time with family. Great for the kids and a some fun for the adults as well.

I had fun there with my family. They workers were very nice! Tried to help us whenever possible. The skating ring was nice and cool but the actual ring has some uneven flooring in certain places which can cause you to fall, but the linger you skate you realize where they are and can stabilize yourself. I really had fun thought and recommend to anyone that wants to skate.

My experience at FunPlex was not pleasant at all. The staff was friendly upon arrival but when my party moved from the main room to the skating area is when we experience a problem. The manager Martha was rude and was unprofessional. For some odd reason when your party moves to the skating area you can not bring your cake or party favors inside the skate area. I definitely would not have any parties at FunPlex.

My nieces wanted to go ice skating here. They have new rule that adults who company with kids must buy an admission of $ 5 for each adult. I came in on Sunday afternoon and there are not crowded at all. Understandable. Wanna make more money but kick away lota of customers. So it is our last time here.

Fun plex is still fun! Kids loved the arcade and the skating rink. Skating on Mondays is $ 5 including skate rental. A nice afternoon or evening activity everyone can enjoy…

After the massive thunderstorms and flood warnings in Houston, Texas last night, my family, relatives, and I are heading to Fun Plex for the first time. Fun Plex is much like Chuck E’ Cheese with tons of kiddy stuffs from roller skating and of course, bowling! As I entered, the atmosphere is very kid like. It’s very huge, and wide spaced with tons of games to play from fairgrounds, arcade gaming, and even an indoor Ferris wheel!
I haven’t got a chance to go roller skating, so we decided to go bowling. The bowling atmosphere is quite good, and everyone is seemed to enjoyed it after all. One big issue that we played there, is the bowling balls got stuck after tossing the ball into the pins. The fixing of releasing bowling balls takes about 5 – 7 minutes because one employee is fixing the solution up; of course, it did successfully. I hope this bowling area needs more employees to work this area faster and tidy.
The service is just hit-​n-​miss. I have no clue why these employees who worked there have run so short, or probably didn’t get more motivations because of the fewer attendance. I wish this place needs a wake up call to make employees have some fun without being bored every day.
In the end, Fun Plex is a good kid’s indoor play area where your children could play there hours of fun and excitement. I’ll give this place 3 stars due to the lack of service. Otherwise, it’s a good place to have fun!

I can’t believe I just spent 4 hours at this DUMP! It was horrible. We had my stepdaughters 10^th birthday party at Houston Funplex last night. From all the pictures this place looked like it would be so much fun for kids and adults. When I first entered I realized I was in for an interesting night. I was disturbed to see a place that caters to children yet there were a huge number of horror costumes worn by the employees. There was a Chucky Character walking around carrying a fake knife pretending to stab the kids. We had children as young as 6 with us. They were scared and didn’t want to see him.
The next problem was our hostess was split between other parties of which she gave more attention to. We ordered our pizza and she put in the wrong order. We had to constantly ask for things that should have been provided. We ordered what I believe to be frozen pizza and paid $ 17.99 per pizza. It was GROSS!!!
This place was also very confusing. Is this for kids entertainment, adult entertainment, or a wedding venue??? Yes people, there was a wedding reception going on. In the main common area they have a façade of what looked like buildings that belonged in Disney World. Being November 1^st they were still playing Halloween music. The same 5 songs over and over again. My ears hurt when I left from the volume and the fact the songs were on repeat. There was a huge chunk of the facility that was closed off. It was just weird. It looked like an old abandoned amusement park.
I don’t believe that I am better than anyone but this place obviously caters to a specific class of people. I entered the ladies restroom and there was a group of dirty mouthed hoodlums taking up the whole thing. According to them WHITE people didn’t belong there and I was in the wrong place. I clearly heard the little ghetto girl tell her friend. «What this white chick doing heeere? She need to go back to heeeer side of town.» UM REALLY??? (She couldn’t even speak correctly) While leaving my BLACK man had to watch me to my vehicle because of the large group of hoodlums outside who where making out and yelling profanity at each other.
I think it was so sad to see the owner waltzing around so proudly. I just cant believe she would want to offer such a crappy experience to people. I will never step foot into this place ever again.
Now we are stuck with game cards. Congrats Houston Funplex for getting out donation!!!

Funplex has changed alot since the last time I went there (2010?) I hear its under new management and it now has so many things. A nice arcade, go kart that I actually see working and a bowling area.
There is still a lot to get done in the place from what I see, but I definitely had fun with my brother today. Staff was nice and helped me out whenever a machine was not functioning properly.
There was a bit of confusion about the 50 cent games for Wednesday, its only for arcade games that do not give you tickets? But if you look, the game will tell you how much it will cost. I had a blast playing the Batman game for only 50 cents!
Asked if there was laser tag and they said its on the way, so to those that love to play that, its coming guys! lol whenever that is!
Did not try the food but I will definitely come back again, I had a fun time regardless of how little they may have. Its a great improvement from 2010 haha

Whoa, whoa whoa!!! What happened here? A lot of negative reviews on this one but I have not experienced this the recent 2 visits on the months of mid February to Beginning March but maybe I got lucky and didn’t experience the unwanted bad moments?
My last visit here was before I even had kids circa early 90’s and all I can say is there are a few changes of course but still an ok place to go to when you’ve exhausted the other choices on the far end of town where I reside.
Parking is plentiful but a little tight (widen those darn things next time you paint the lanes at least 4 inches for Pete’s sake).
I notice there used to be a movie theater conjoined with this complex but no longer active.
There is a nice sized bowling alley. We did rent a lane but from what I see, a few group of people would have a great time there.
There are even 4 pinball machines for us old school… of course 2 of them were down but let’s see how the fare on the next visit.
Both sun and daughter enjoyed this place since it has something for all ages from about the age of 4 to 24. There are at least 4 good sized air hockey tables on the Northeast side (right and to the back).
A food court is easily accessible from all rounds of building with lots of tables to accommodate a medium to large weekend night crowd.
Face painting, there is a booth here for that and it was only $ 4 I believe.
To play the games here you need to get some currency or your credit card converted to one of their cards like Julliens. There are two kiosks (one was not working, see a pattern here?) where you can skip the line and purchase one of those here. They are located to your immediate right by the face painting/​tattoo spot after you descend the little stairs.
The bar, I liked it a lot because it seemed different and took me by surprise when I walked in. Why? Because you get blasted with hispanic music (maybe it was a themed night, not sure), lively, open and a little hideway in the back where you can sink yourself in some pretty comfortable chairs.
Service on the bar was excellent, the women there was mostly gorgeous and appealing to the tired eye, the made Twin Peak girls look frumpy.
Security is right on spot here. I happened to almost get ran over by one when he was responding to a call by the far door by the bar. They don’t play and I and my kids felt secure with these fellas here. Keep up the good work guys.
I can see where things can get rough and maybe misjudged a few of the regular clientel here but for the most part i would say Sunday through Thursdays are perfect nights to visit here without the riff raff. Friday and Saturday nights you are on your own but that’s for you to determine, it gets crowded!
