Four Points by Sheraton Houston Hobby Airport

This is really a shinning star in the Four Points portfolio… a lot of Four Points don’t have suites much less fresh newly remodeled rooms. The staff Isiah was very friendly. Typical things like free WiFi (which I dislike because it means you get what you pay for, crappy slow internet speeds), pool, nice fitness center, breakfast, a nice bar and nice restaurant.
The area isn’t the best, I worry about my car and walking around outside at night. Definitely not an area where you would walk to attraction, however they do have Über $ 20 off cards at the front desk which help.
Over all, its a good economy stay with easy access to the interstate & surprisingly nice accommodations.

I give the staff mainly Isaiah at the front desk 5 stars. He is a great asset to the SPG family and his attention to detail and professionalism is found in 5 Star foreign SPG properties. Rooms are very big but the décor is dated. The area is very busy and a bit risky but typical of properties near airports in any large cities. The property gets 2 stars and 1 more only because of my pleasant service by Mr. Isaiah. SPG if you are going to have a great staff surround them with some modern, fresh, and crisp facilities. But working with what they have not bad at all, facilities are very clean and well maintained. Never judge a book by its cover this is a diamond in the rough only because of its great staff.

Staff was professional and courteous. Our visit was only one night, however if and when I need to come back to Houston or if someone asked me to recommend a place to stay I would not hesitate to recommend.

I didn’t get upgraded to a living room suite for the first time this past week, which is fine, but the excuse given makes no sense. Isaiah said, «I wanted to give you an upgrade, but we don’t have any suite rooms that are clean. It was a full house last night.» Since I checked in after 5PM on a Sunday this past week, you’re telling me that NO suite room had been cleaned? That makes zero sense.
I asked for a blanket to be delivered when I left to go pick up something to eat. I instructed that housekeeping can enter the room if I’m not there. Upon return, Isaiah said, «The ladies don’t have that type of key, so they couldn’t deliver the blanket.» I followed him to the laundry room and waited. I’ve NEVER in all my SPG, Marriott, Hilton, or Hyatt travels heard of such a thing!
The worst thing about room 228 was discovering someone else’s pubic hair on the floor (reason for one star). I didn’t see it until about 10PM, so I was too tired to call the front desk. Luckily the housekeeper was right next to my room when I returned around 4PM, and I had her clean up the hair. When I checked out and the front desk asked how my room was, I told them the truth. I was given 2500 points.
I started this draft while awaiting breakfast the first morning. Just like the last time, there’s something wrong with this meal. The hotel’s out of potatoes and fries, so fresh fruit (grapes and honeydew) has been substituted. I reserved my room, which included breakfast, about three months ago. Is that not enough time to order potatoes? In addition, the food was cold. Good thing I’m NEVER staying here again!

An ok hotel for a quick stop before the airport. No buffet as advertised. Pretty quiet– friendly staff.

I had an great experience from checking in to checking out. definitely enjoyed my stay and well worth the price. I cant really say anthing about the food since I slept and left early morning. The area isn’t the best area but for the price you definitely can’t complain.

Was sent to this hotel for a business meeting and training presentation by my employer. We often have to rely on online reviews as well as figure in cost to decide on facilities to use. We decided to give Four Points Hobby a shot. We will not be using them again.
The neighborhood was a bit sketchy. The hotel is located immediately adjacent to a pretty unsavory looking hotel.
The hotel was not well set up for conference. Instead of a Polycom we were given a hotel phone to put on speaker. Wifi went down the on the last day of the conference, so teleconferencing was not an option.
The food for the meeting was overall pretty substandard (sandwiches, burgers) for the first two of three days. Food was quite good on the last day (a very good pasta selection). The conference rooms were not well cleaned between meeting days.
I would say if you are looking for a place to stay while on layover near hobby this is an easily three or four star facility. I used the workout facility which was average as hotels go. Treadmill, elliptical, free weights up to 50. Did not use the outdoor pool. The shuttle was very efficient. The room in and of itself was very nice, clean, and comfortable. My room included a fridge and microwave. The staff was also very polite and efficient.
However, if you are looking to set up any sort of professional conference for your business I would steer away from this facility.

Stayed there last night due to a delayed plane. It was really nice. Only paid 75 plus tax. Tall ceilings. 2 queen beds. Very nice.

OMG! had the worst experience. arrived on a stormy night and they’d lost their computer system. my sister, who works for hotels and understands the procedures for such occurrences, tried to help the guy to check us in manually and he had the snootiest attitude! when he got flustered, we tried to soothe him, «it’ll all be alright». to which he retorted «oh, i KNOW it’s alright!». the first impression is the most important and perception is reality. my perception is that the management needs to tighten the reins here and get their people trained!

Stayed here last night coming back from our cruise and loved the hotel. The airport shuttle driver drove my party and I to the Chilis a few miles away bcd we were starving he was great Not sure of his name. I had room 402 it was a suite «nice bonus upgrade» everyone was great the room was big and clean and worth the 69 bucks we paid. Will defiantly stay again if in the area

Do not go to this hotel! They will rip you off! I stayed there with my hubby for the weekend and they overcharged my card! I called them to ask about the charges and they couldn’t explain how they got there. They said it would take 3 – 4 business days then she put me on hold to help 6 other customers and then came back and said 3 – 10 business days. The lady was very rude and she hung up on me and then when I called back the kept hanging up the line. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Don’t waste your money on this hotel when there are plenty of other places willing to help and not steal your money.

Great place for business travelers. New, clean, small restaurant and room service. Free wifi, clean rooms and large fitness center. Very helpful staff. Too.

The staff is friendly, check in was easy, restaurant already closed about 9pm but we got pizza and settled in our luxurious oversized room. Was a great sleep, and woke up and went to the airport.
I do warn you it’s a ghetto location so keep your valuables on you, but the hotel itself is very classy.

Who knew there were two airports in Houston?! Anyhow, friend booked room here using her points. I didn’t realize my flight was out of an airport 40 miles away.
But Spencer at the front desk was very helpful. And when I came down at 3am to wait for my shuttle, he made me coffee and has such a pleasant attitude! Thanks to him, the last leg of my trip that ended abruptly in Houston was MUCH better :]
Doesn’t a smile make all the difference in the world? Let’s strive to remember that.

This is my second hotel stay at the Four Points in the past two weeks and I have to say corporate management really needs to tighten up with customer service.
A group of my colleagues (10 people) and I hotel arrived at the hotel together and waited 20 minutes at the front desk to check in. There were no signs of staff in sight besides the bartender who clearly saw us waiting yet never came over to communicate whether someone would be with us or not. An older gentlemen with glasses, dressed very nicely, finally did come out and he seemed very unhappy. It was halloween night when we checked in and while we were all making light of the wait by being humorous, he never cracked a smile. He did not apologize for the wait. When I tried to give him my rewards number he said he couldn’t do it because my name wasn’t on the room. So I asked him to change the room name and he wrote my name down on a sheet of paper. He preceded to move on to the next person and I asked him if my reward points were added and he said, «I’ll do it later after I check everyone else in.» I didn’t want to be confrontational so I just took my room key and went to my room. The next morning I received the receipt under the door and it not only did not have my rewards added but my name wasn’t on the room either. There was another gentleman at the front desk who changed everything for me in less than 2 minutes. I was extremely dissatisfied with customer service.
The room was very nice! It was clean and spacious. The hotel looked newer and the décor was nicely arranged. It came with a microwave and refrigerator.
Seemed strange that the windows were not made to open. However, nice comfortable beds and free wi-​fi!
It’s unfortunate that this hotel is actually a nice hotel but once again the customer service has left a bad impression with myself and others. I understand sometimes you have a bad day but we all do and you can not take your personal issues out on us paying customers.

Great customer service. I travel a lot for work. This hotel has some of the friendliest staff ever. They allowed me to check in WAY early. They greet you with a smile and are always trying to do what ever they can to make my stay better. I will definitely stay here again if I am in the area.

After a terrible experience down the road (see other review for Baymont), we came here and were not disappointed. Free upgrade to suite, wifi, non smoking room, friendly interested staff, and I was surprised to see a laundry room available. They also have a restaurant and room service. I love the Sheraton properties — they always go the extra mile.

While they did offer free wifi, the ping times were outrageous… my yahoo news takes forever to load.
The bar did have a pretty jawesome local Octoberfest on tap & the bed was pretty comfy. If only they had an outlet near the nightstand.

Not a good stay

This is newly opened and is well worth the stay, especially at the price. It is about 10 minutes from Hobby just off the freeway. The rooms are very well appointed, the beds are amazing. The lobby and rooms are updated and modern. There is a bad in the lobby as well as a restaurant that is open for breakfast and dinner.
The only down side is that it is located right next door to a very low rent place. The other side has the more high-​end places. So I guess they drew the short straw.
But, all in all it was a great stay.
