I was satisfied with this hotel FORTHEPRICE until I encountered Marvin or Mervin, or whatever he said his name was(his attitude is awful). I had a great check in experience in the daytime, but I guess I was disturbing him at 1230 am when I came in from my car and decided to make a purchase from the market. He came out of the back looking disturbed already as if his girlfriend just dumped him, he looked annoyed that I was buying something and more annoyed when i didn’t have exact change. He walked away from the desk to a room and my husband and I walked behind him discussing the fact that he couldn’t find the ice machines, and rather than offering the information to us, he ignored us and I had to say«excuse me» and actually ask him, although I knew he could hear me. Minutes later I called the front desk from the room because my nephew was having issues connecting his PS3 to the Wi-Fi and he simply told me, «I don’t think you can do that.» I tried to understand him by asking was he sure and he just said«yeah». However, I know of ppl playing online from hotels all the time. I went to the front desk to speak with him, hoping I had taken his tone wrongly, but he was still rude, obviously annoyed, and insensitive about the issue. He was grumpy, rude and unhelpful and rather than staying another night, ill probably check out in the morning. As a Marriot rewards member, i usually receive excellent customer service, especially for being a Platinum member, but he was a complete asshole. By the way i figured out how to connect to the hotel’s wifi, and if i return to Houston, I’ll be sure to pass by this hotel.

I travel a LOT. This place has been an unpleasant waste of money. I’m sitting in the lobby waiting on this slow lady to refill the food containers. So far, it’s been seventeen minutes. SEVENTEEN. They gave me the WRONG room upon check-in. A maintenance guy was relaxing in my room when I finally got my room key. I walk in and he’s just relaxing at the desk. Blank look. This place flat out sucked. The front desk attendant was the only pleasant experience at this hotel. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

I am not quite ready to give this hotel a high star rating, but I am happy to be fair and provide an update on the results of this issue. Want to say thanks to property manager — Rita S. Rita, thank you so much for your attention to this. I certainly appreciate it. I also think the approach to refund the full stay is absolutely COMMENDABLE! Thank you for that. It is a great gesture to keep me loyal to the Marriott brand. I am a Marriott Rewards member and travel often with my company and we have Marriott as an option for travel, this will definitely keep me with Marriott. The approach to resolve this issue is absolutely great customer service. =) I appreciate all of your help! Thanks again!

Clean and friendly service however old fashioned air conditioning units directly on the highway and the traffic on hwy all nught is very bad. The mattresses are super soft … too soft. Great place if you’re really tired not necessarily my idea of a good nights rest or the old home away from home atmosphere. Cleanliness and friendliness, OVERALL nice older facility with indoor and good breakfast. I would rate 5 star. However the noise fron roadway, the foot steps above me like im in a cheap apartment complex, and the need for upgraded central air and heat, plus the extra soft mattresses on both beds in my room… 3 stars is generous! :(

This Fairfield is not much different than other Fairfield’s as far as the building, rooms, etc. what makes all the difference in the world is how you are treated by the manager Rita and her staff. When you walk in the door, it’s like being greeted at a family get together. Very warm and friendly. I will stay here again in the future. Thank you!

I had to stay here for a recent work trip. The room was kept clean and the beds were comfy and loaded with pillows. They have free breakfast with eggs bacon and waffles. They have an indoor pool, hot tub and workout room that were fine.
