History

Established in 1936.

Houston’s second oldest civil engineering firm. EHRA Engineering has served the city of Houston and the state of Texas since 1936.

Following the end of World War I in 1918, the United States entered into a decade of industrial growth.

Among these years of prosperity, the state Texas focused mainly on the development of the railroad, the coordinated highway system and the Port of Houston.

With this increase of industry and transportation came a flood of job opportunities resulting in a dramatic increase in Houston’s population. Just twelve years after the war, Houston had doubled its population, emerging as the largest city in Texas and the 27th largest city in the nation.

EHRA Engineering began as «Edminster Engineering» in 1936 founded by Truman Edminster Sr.
