This place is horrible and this is coming from someone that has dealt with them twice! Yes twice stupid me right… they sold me a used piece of crap that literally messed up on my way home literally out the dealer, went back and demanded they fix the problem they tried to play it off and tell me for what since I plan on taking it back in a year since that was our agreement. I said «I kind of still need to see how much gas I have» duh… since I believe the pump was messed up. That was just one issues among many others that costed me lots of money over the year, I had this vehicle. Took their crap back since no one else wanted it and they gave me one a little less crappy but with lots of miles… anyway to make this a little shorter, I turn this high mileage car in some where else where they actually did help me and they put me in a new vehicle. This happened bout a year ago but I really highly doubt it has changed. Oh and don’t ever believe your so called «friend that works there» wants to help you… All bull! Do yourself a favor stay away from the used car side. especially if you dont want to throw money away. I can’t vouch for the new one but if you’re dealing with the same finance ppl… good luck.

Chance was a great salesman to work with! No complaints about him at all. The one star goes towards the free oil change I received. Since I wrote into their website and never received a response I thought I would post what happened here.
I went to have my first oil change on Friday at your location. Since the service was free I thought I would give you guys a try. The girl told me the wait would be 45 min. I ended up finishing in an hour and half. They brought me the wrong paperwork explaining what was wrong with my car, which I told her this wasn’t mine. Then they found the correct paperwork. Turned out I had two nails in my tire. The girl that helped me wasn’t very nice when I asked for the price of a new tire, and when turned her down on changing it. I found the same tire at discount for half the price. After all the confusing and dysfunctional staff I was finally able to leave. I went to my car to find it washed like I asked, but not dried off. I stood out there and dried my own car off. I am just wondering why anyone would want to come back to this place? You cant even dry off a car? That is really lazy. This is not my first Nissan and wont be my last. However it will be my last time to recommend anyone to your dealership or purchase another car from yall. I have never had such awful service.

Some people may think it’s a waste of money, but I think it’s beneficial to do all the vehicle maintenance at one place. That one place should be the place where the vehicle was purchased. I purchased my SUV here brand new and have done every oil change here all these years. I like that I can drop off the truck, sit in a comfortable lounge with a big TV, a really cool coffee maker that makes lattes, cappuccinos, and etc, and free WiFi! They also change your wiper blades and wash your vehicle when it’s done. They keep all maintenance records on file and know when tires need to be rotated or what needs to be done at a certain mileage. Prices are comparable or a bit higher than most oil change places, but I don’t mind paying extra for knowing I’m in good hands.

We went to David McDavid Nissan after having a not to nice experience at another Houston Nissan dealership. Ade (our sales person) was knowledgeable, kind, and not pushy at all. We ended up purchasing a Nissan Armada. Our buying experience was stress free and easy. I would recommend a visit if you’re in the market for a new Nissan. Ask for Ade, he sales cars but is not your typical pushy ‘car salesman’.

If you are looking for poor customer services, long wait times, and pointless service appointments that require multiple trips to the service department David McDavid Services department is the perfect place for you! I just left the dealership today, and I typically only spend 1 hour waiting of oil change, car wash, and 1 other service change (filter change, brake fluid flush, etc) Today, I dropped my car off at 10am and came back for it at 2:30pm. Amanda my main supervisor for this visit was in charge of my car. Will, the person I typically work with calls me at 12:30pm — 1pm to inform me that I need to get a few additional service, nothing out of the ordinary. I agree to the addition items need, BUT no one informs me that my engine light, the main reason I came for, is still on, and that a different department is needed. Drive off, and realize the light is still one. My supervisor, Amanda informs me she has overlooked this detail, and that its not in her department. You must know that the Engine light is such minimal thing, that people can just leave running and not inform you that it would be taken care of ASAP as well. So needless to say, they don’t do a thorough job, and I must be made of time to make another 4 hour journey in their fabulous waiting quarters. What better to do with my time then enjoy their snarky attitudes, and fair (if that) customer services. If you wants a better services, drive 15 mile down and go to Clear Lake Nissan, at least your cars will be taking care of properly, and you won’t have to make 2 visits to get one issue resolved. Oh and of course i am still waiting for a member of their supervising team to call me back and explain how they overlooked my sign with 4 hours to spare, and it being labeled on the check off list.

Watch out for extended warranty purchase, had to cancel mine cause of shady deal, took 2 months to get reimbursed. Now for the 2014 Pathfinder SL carpet looks like glueboard with blown fibers, carpeted mats, waited 2 weeks after purchase of vehicle to get custom mats, carpeted mats already showed wear. CAR transmission is a moaner. After 9000 miles in 1 yr of ownership the check engine light came on as Did the passenger airbag light. Took CAR in for these issues, nothing could be found wrong. Did research on this issue, it is a common issue. Sticker on CAR was 37 000, went to trade in, 1^st offer was 20 000 dollars, ended up getting 25K, so if you are willing to shell out hard earned money on a car that is worth half of what you paid for it in 1 yr. And spend most of your time at the dealership, doing no work on ur car to tell you they can’t find what’s wrong. Then this is the car for you. I have a Ford F 150 now and it gets 5 mpg better than the pathfinder, averaged 18, and it will tow 11,300 lbs. Gave you one shot Nissan, never again, there is a reason they don’t offer ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE, it would bankrupt them. So here’s an update, I get a call from a sales rep, told him I got rid of the Pathfinder and that I would never buy abother Nissan product, he said every manufacturer has 1 model, I called him out on that one, do ur research before signing on that line, all the car mags dog this transmission in all its vehicles. Bad resale value, right in the middle of our conversation, he cut me off and said goodbye, so in other words, bad product, bad service after sale, no business. How do improve when u don’t care what people have to say. Good luck!

My 2009 Altima was made & sold with a malfunctioning part on it that deals with steering wheel lock. Sunday morning, my car wouldn’t start at all because the malfunction makes the car think it’s being stolen & the wheel locked up for safety. I found that out after buying & putting in a new battery. At this point I wish someone had stolen my car. Instead of Nissan issuing a recall for the problem, they offered everyone who bought a 2009 Nissan Altima an extended warranty for that one part. Unfortunately my extended warranty expired 12 days before malfunction presented itself. David McDavid refused to discount the cost to fix which is $ 1,200. They refused to work with me at all on the issue and told me nothing can be done. I left the dealership in tears. I just spent $ 2,800 out of pocket cost to have foot surgery two weeks ago and I’m about to finance my wedding with no financial assistance. This issue could not have come at a more inconvenient time in my life. MY FAMILY HAS PURCHASED SIX CARS FROM THIS DEALERSHIP & ironically enough my mothers car was being serviced in their shop at the same time I was speaking with Joey in the service dept. I was planning to trade my car in buying a brand new SUV in November from this dealership. Hell would have to freeze over before that happens now.

Got a great deal here – sure it took 7 harrowing hours, but the thousands of dollars I could save made it totally worth it! Their finance dept was also super helpful. I was convinced I’d go thru my personal bank with reasonable rates, but Nissan made me a financing offer I couldn’t refuse! I stuck to my guns and walked out with a great car/​package for an unheard of price. Strongly recommended. Even though it is a bit of a hike to the east of the city, I saved thousands over what other Nissan dealerships assured me was their lowest price.

This place is awesome and the people are super helpful! I bought both my Nissans from here and I wouldn’t have wanted to go anywhere else. If you go, ask for Mark. He is so helpful and will get you going on the right foot and make the process as smooth as possible. Speaking from experience! Great job!

Bought Rogue in 2014. Salesman, Tommy, was to get additional key for me since I was given one key for two of us. Wrote letters to GM (who never responded), left messages for salesman — no response, returned to dealership and reception said I would need to go to parts department; went to parts department — cost $ 163. Got Tiffany Craig (KHOU) involved which prompted call from salesman. David McDavid says they don’t have anything to «attach» this to in order to get me another key. OK, then, just pay the $ 163 to get key made — they refused to do so. I am so disappointed. This is not a major undertaking for such a large company. I now understand why all the horrible reviews!

Dishonesty everywhere — they gave me one price over the phone to get you in the door. They then sent three different salesman with three different spins on why the price was different — finally they said (even after I had made sure over the phone financing is not required) that the price now goes up because I am not going to finance. One lady apologized to me and was at least honest and said it was a mistake to have given me the price — whereas the BS salesman comes down after and says oh we will do you a favor and not add in PHANTOM dealer-​add ons for a 1000. Just apologize and say you messed up. Don’t come back and insult the consumer by LYING and then PRETENDING you are doing me a favor. Wasted 3 hours of mine also. Go there at your own risk.

This place is a joke from the start. First, they tell you that you are approved over the phone and that you will be working with the person you are talking to. Nope. They say they are attaching the cars you’re looking at to your application. Nope. You get there and they continue the lies and circus. You ask to drive a car. Go back in to wait for gas for it and they immediately start running your info and telling you you make less than you do despite actual pay stubs. They also then keep asking you for more and more proof of more money and say nothing about the previous financing that you were approved for. Beyond that, the place is filthy, the cars are dirty on the inside, and the salesmen are very rude. Save yourself the trouble and avoid this place like the plague.
I also forgot to mention that they went right into financing before I even drove the car! What the heck.

This is by far the worst dealership to stop by… not professional at all way over priced parts and cars. Go down the road to clear lake nissan in league city trust me.
I have been only few times and every time was a horrible experience but today did it. I walk into parts to get some gaskets i waited at parts desk for 10minutes until this tall guy comes to me in a different colored shirt and bit older then all other guys so im assuming hes in charge. He said can i help you. I said yes i need some parts for a Maxima well he stands their staring at me and very rudely and loudly says Okayyyyyyyy what parts. Im like oil pan and timing cover o rings can you please pull up a drawing so we can go over it and find out exactly which ones i need… well he just walks off to his office 5minutes later comes back slams a drawing on piece of paper down and says HERE. now what do you need. i tried explaining to him every seal that is in the drawing.
Anyways.after all of this he shows me the prices… the same exact part that clear lake nissan had to order for $ 20 was $ 42.99 their… just to test prices i asked for another part that i had already got from down the road at clear lake nissan. Basically double the price of other dealers and plus more thats them.
I would never buy a car here and especially never parts i will get from clear laje nissan.

Are you kidding me? Do you guys not talk to one another?
After doing a week of research online and talking with multiple sales people from different dealerships, I received a call from Lee, one of your new managers. Within that 15 minute or so conversation he made me feel that I could trust him so I planned to buy the vehicle from your dealership. Two people had call me Saturday to ask if I was coming in. I told both of them yes. After a 45 minute drive to pick up my daughter’s truck to trade in, calling Lee to confirm that I was on my way and it would take me about 1 ½ hours to get there, he did NOT have enough respect for me or my time to call me back and say that the car had been sold at noon earlier that day. I was irate and expressed that with controlled anger. The olé bait and switch was about to begin. And, it did. I am appalled that this type of behavior continues to be a part of the car sales world. I did not drive nor buy the other vehicle and will be leaving my feelings about the practice at your establishment on all online reviews present to me.
This is my response when the general manager contacted me the next day asking how my visit was. Honesty and respect go a long way with me. This business shows neither.

Do not trust this dealership! We talked to them for months every time being assured that once we got down there (we live 2 ½hrs away) there would be no problems and whatever we were told on the phone or price we seen online is what we would get This came Directly from Chad the GM and other people from the sales dept. there. We found what we wanted and talked to the sales dept. got pre approved and then sent all the stuff in and was APPROVED we were told all we needed to do was come in sign papers and that’s it no down payment no trade in nothing. We called 2 more times after that to make sure, then took off work and drove down after sitting there for 3 hrs we find out all that was a lie. I went to speak with Chad the GM I was told he was in a meeting but they would have him call me when he was done I waited an hour then called back finally got in the phone with him he said he would go get my file and call me back to straighten everything out… That was 2 months ago!!! Still haven’t heard back or had my calls answered!!!

My experience with McDavid Nissan, summed up in one word: Lies.
We made an TrueCar price inquiry with the exact specifications of the vehicle we were looking for. The following morning received a call from Yasmin at David McDavid Nissan stating she had an exact match to our inquiry. We reviewed every spec we wanted/​needed in the vehicle again to confine we were on the same page. Yasmin reassured us they had the vehicle and would call us back in 5 minutes with the concrete confirmation.
5 minutes later on cue Yasmin called with the great news confirming that the vehicle was in fact in stock at their lot.
We immediately grabbed our things Nd hopped in the car for the 1hr 14min drive to their dealership prepared to purchase that day.
We arrive and Yasmin brings our information to Ade to assist us. Ade looks up our inquiry and the discussion begins. We ask Ade to see the vehicle, upon checking the system Ade states they do NOT have the vehicle Yasmin confirmed was in stock & never did. Still determined, Ade reassures us that he can get the vehicle to their lot at no additional cost to us in 72 hours.
Somewhat discouraged and irritated because we have already been bamboozled. We entertain this option. We were to be traveling the next couple days so the car would be there when we returned.
Next came Ken. Ken is introduced as a manager and is to help us conclude this arrangement. Ken shares that the vehicle they located is 800+ miles away and we would be charged with a nice transportation fee that we had just been promised we would not.
We expressed out complete dissatisfaction with the service and their staff’s quickness to blatantly LIE to the customer and walked out.
I am disgusted with the operations at David McDavid Nissan.

I am writing to report unfair business practices that are happening at David McDavid Nissan in Houston and inform you of a very disturbing situation that I went through with this dealership today. I am a disabled veteran and I have been a civil servant for the past 10 years. I am currently in the market for a used vehicle to use for work. I was looking on autotrader adn found an ad for a 2013 Ford Focus advertised at 10,895.00. I checked the dealership website and verified the vehicle was on there, as well. I called and spoke to Cindy the internet director she confirmed the car was there and confirmed the price. In fact she stated it was negotiable. I loaded my wife and 7 month old baby up and made the 40 some mile drive to the dealership. When we got there we were passed off to a salesman named Alam (spelling). Alam showed me the car and we drove it and another Focus. We then sat down to begin the always dreaded negotiation process. Little did I know that when Cindy said negotiable she meant that the price could go up not down. One of the managers, a bald guy who did not identify himself, came in and set a piece of paper down with the price 10,895 on it and 899 for wheel locks and nitrogen, 699 for window etching and another 599 ad on for another add on. This brought the price to 13 092 plus tax title and license. My wife and I were in shock and advised them that we did not need any of that stuff. The manager stated that they do it to all their cars. I advised him none of it had been done to this car and his response was «well it will be». We were further informed that if we chose to go through our credit union instead of them the price would go up again. My wife said «so you are saying that you will not sell us the car for the advertised price and you will add more if we finance somewhere else?» The manager said «yes». As I am sure you can imagine we walked out. The manage could not have cared less. I stated to him he could have sold a car in 15 minutes and he said «oh well we didn’t».
We left and made the trip back home. When we were almost home the salesman called back and said he spoke to the director and they were going to waive the 899 fee. This is the fee they are charging people for wheel locks, 45.00 at Autozone, and Nitrogen, free at any Ford dealership. To say this is ludicrous is an understatement. I told him I appreciated him calling back but I was not interested in paying their absurd fees. After a 20 min phone call the salesman said the director was willing to sell us the car for 12,800 out the door. My wife said that we should not go back but I convinced her it was a good deal on a good car and she reluctantly gave in. I had agreed to pay 1200 above the advertised price and to finance the car through them instead my credit union. I loaded my wife and 7 month old up and headed back to the dealership. upon arrival I filled out the credit app and provided my drivers license and insurance. I felt relieved that it was over even though I had been mislead by the ad. Another manager came out and asked me to go into the cubicle with him. he proceeded to tell me that they were not going to sell me the car for 12 800 as they had said. He began to tell me what he would sell it for now when I walked out. I could not believe that they had done this to us. It really seemed that they did it on purpose as they were all laughing even the black manager who I was told was the «big manager». I stormed out.
We made 2 trips for a total of over 160 miles, 15.00 in tolls and 2 demoralizing experiences in the middle of the showroom. I remember as a child shopping at David McDavid in Irving and I remember my dad being treated with the utmost respect and the highest level of customer service. It is a shame to see what the Asbury Automotive Company has done to the David McDavid brand.

After reading all the bad reviews, it’s hard to believe them from the great experience I had here. The salesman, Jony, was extremely helpful and gave my boyfriend an amazing deal on a pre-​owned car. I am super satisfied with the service and the newly purchased car. Jony was extremely helpful and made our car buying experience pleasant.
