They dont give any notice via email or text about class cancellations, weather closures, or the fact that the indoor pool is closed indefinitely. We’ve been coming for a long time. They haven’t said why the indoor pool is closed and when it will open. No front office to talk to. You email and wait for a response. for everything else I’ve ever tried — day camp, soccer, chess, school, pre-school, other swim clubs — they do warn us about closures. We’re now at the«outdoor pool» where parents and guardians are sitting in 95 degree heat and there is barely any shade and barely any parking — people park on the grass and the gravel.

We have enjoyed doing rehab exercises in the indoor pool, but got a notice that it will be closed until further notice. Looks like several months. We don’t go to the out door pools because of sun exposure concerns. Anyway, I sent an email to stop our membership. They did not respond, so I called and was told we have to send a letter. That’s fine, BUT they will continue to bill for two more months… on something we can’t use! Yikes! If you’re thinking about this facility, see if you can have an escape clause.

We took swim lessons here this summer. First, the instructor was fantastic — absolutely no complaints there. The problem is the facility — I’m watching my kids at their lesson, in the summer(read: 95F+ degrees outside), after work, still in my work clothes, sweating my bum off because even though you’re «inside» you’re really just in a shell of a building with no A/C or heat(except for the locker rooms). The place is just really run down. The locker rooms need some attention — run down, kind of smelly, and you wonder how long it’s been since the floor covering has been pulled up to clean the floor.(I read in one of the other reviews that the locker rooms were recently renovated — I honestly can’t compare, but the women’s locker room doesn’t appear to be only 7mos old).) Am I glad my kids did swim lessons here? Yes. Will I sign them up here again? Not until they put some work into the facility — there are other places where I can watch more comfortably and the kids can still get their swim-on. This is a great pool for swim training, though. I think it’s the only pool in town that has a 50m pool(which gets changed to 25 in the summer). One of my friends has her kids on swim team here and has for several years(clearly likes it). My husband was a member here while he trained for a triathlon but after that dropped his membership because the facility was a lot more run down than other options.

I LOVE Dad’s swim club. I almost want to just keep it a secret :) I really enjoy swimming outdoors surrounded by trees, and it’s very convenient just off of I-10. The pool is 50m in the summer months but 25 yards in the winter. The locker rooms were recently renovated, and if you’re a member there’s a small gym too. I swim with the triathlon group most of the year, and solo in the winter time. I highly recommend Regina’s triathlon group, she’s a great coach and works with all levels. The main pool is outdoor, but nicely heated so you can swim year-round. The only problem is that you have to wait until 7 or so in the evenings for member lanes(swim team takes priority) but I usually swim in the mornings, so it’s no issue for me.

Dad’s Club is great outdoor pool to train in! I come here usually on Monday and Wednesday afternoons to swim with the triathlon group. Coach Regina is an awesome coach to work with on improving your freestyle techniques. I’ve been going for the past month and feel faster already. Even if you can’t swim 50 meters continuously down the lane, she has private lessons that you can take on the weekends.
