Creekbend Apartments

I wouldn’t recommend moving here f you can avoid it. By the way, this place is called The Reserve at Creekbend. If you don’t know, this complex used to be one of the worse in Houston. I didn’t know that when I moved in because it has been «renovated.» I moved into this complex a year ago. The place was okay… it seemed quiet and family-​oriented, with a little playground on the property and everything. However, once they get you to sign the lease, you’re trapped. They started changing all types of things, like the implementation of RANDOM reserved parking spaces, causing residents to be towed, with no reimbursement and no apology.
They started being slower and slower with fulfilling maintenance requests, even major ones. It’s not the fault of the maintenance men. It’s the lazy leasing people that don’t tell them that you put in a request. The apartment manager is never available, as he is only here part time. I did see some pests in this apartment. They came to spray and it helped for the most part, but I still saw a few. I had to keep my apartment, especially the kitchen, spotless in order to avoid seeing creepy-​crawlies.
When I moved in, the rent seemed like a «plus» until I realized that I was paying about $ 100 more than other complexes in this same area charge. The last straw was when they tried to increase my rent by $ 150 when it was time to renew. I asked around to my neighbors and found out that I was already paying a lot more than other residents, who receive some type of government assistance. I’m a working professional, and I’m not on any type of program.
The biggest plus about this place is that it prompted me to finally save up the money to buy a house, which I did. No more apartment living for me.
