Crawdad’s! Crawfish Boils & Cajun Catering

Crawdad’s rock from start to finish! Our fraternity hosted a fantastic crawfish boil. It was with the help of Crawdad’s that made the event such a success.
If you are looking for an easy catering process, friendly staff, and finger licking crawfish, I recommend Crawdad’s all the way.

I would like to add to my review, that Ben did contact us and wanted to rectify the fact that we were not pleased and offered a free drop off delivery meal. We appreciated the offer but decided to decline.
We had a company event with Crawdad’s Catering Service and I have to say the review is not good. It was the All-​Inclusive Package which is very deceiving. I would love to have great things to say because we were really expecting to have a great time and have great crawfish due to other reviews. The crawfish was overcooked, way too much spice, not purged, and some of them tasted like sewage! And I love crawfish! The potatoes were not cooked all of the way and the sausage was so over-​spiced you could not eat that. We ordered chicken for the people who did not like crawfish and that dinner was almost a joke. A piece of supposedly grilled chicken, a small new potato and a tiny piece of corn. Everyone looked at us like we were crazy! Anyway, they ran out of chicken, ran out of dessert, eating utensils and bowls. The CEO didn’t even get his food! One of our co-​workers ran and bought a bucket of chicken so others could eat. We planned the day outdoors and of course had to change to inside due to rain. We understand those things happen and made due. I do need to thank Ben’s team for everything they did to get things set up, cooking and serving. Ben was also onsite to help right before serving. In meeting him I would have thought he would have cared a little more about our experience… good or bad. When you have a business which states you have 100% satisfaction guarantee, you should stand behind that, not make excuses why things were not as they should have been. Bottom line, I would look elsewhere if you want good food and a better experience. I’m a person who likes to see the good in everything, so if you make the choice to use them I hope your experience is better than ours was!

I absolutely recommend Crawdad’s! for a catered crawfish party. The planning process was very casual and simple. Ben, the catering manager, was really great about responding to my questions over email very quickly. I was also able to increase my order a few days before the party because more people RSVPed last minute. I really appreciated how accommodating they were at that time.
The day of the party, they arrived early to set everything up. They bring a tent for their catering area, so take this into account when planning your party set up. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The crawfish were a good size, had good seasoning, and were not too spicy.
The only reason I did not give five stars is that the descriptions of a few of the items on the contract were a little more grandiose on paper than in reality. For example:
–The «JBL Professional Sound System» was one speaker on a stand with an iPod plugged into it.
–The «photographer» was one of the servers walking around with a digital camera. It is kind of hard to take a bunch of pictures and serve and cook all at the same time. (I am not complaining about the server… she did the best she could.)
–They describe the prize giveaways as a $ 75 value. It is a T-​shirt and two Koozies. I don’t think you can call that $ 75 worth of giveaways.
–Also listed in my package was «Germ-​X Hand Sanitizer, Lemon-​Scented Towelettes, Bibs & Latex Gloves»…I don’t recall seeing any of those items at the party. I don’t doubt that they were somewhere behind the catering area, but they were not made readily available to my guests.
Overall, it was a great party, and my guests had a great time. If I ever have another crawfish boil, Crawdad’s! will be the company I use.

I highly recommend Crawdad’s if you want a catered crawfish boil. This is the fourth year we have used them.
Each year the service has been outstanding. They are professional and strive to meet the needs of their clients. From the beginning of the planning process to the follow-​up after the event, communication is quick and professional.
The only reason I did not give five stars is that this year the crawfish were not the best we’ve had; they seemed smaller and there were a fair number of discolored ones and/​or really smushy tails that just disintegrated when you tried to peel them. So, I’m not sure if they are using a different supplier or if it just happens to be a down year for the health of the mud bugs. I will say that overall the flavor was great.
I really loved that this year they provided water & iced tea service.
The servers are always so friendly to the guests and go out of their way to make sure everyone is well-​fed and has a great time. I will certainly do business with them again.

Our office recently used Crawdad’s to cater our company picnic. From the very beginning of getting a quote until the team left after it was over, everything was easy. I appreciated their attention to detail, the interaction with my employees and the yummy food! I would definitely use them again.
We had the iced tea and water service with our contract and my suggestions would be this: offer an unsweet option (we have diabetics in our office) and bring ice for the cups, not just the drink dispensers. When I have water or tea in a cup, I want ice in there as well. It gets too warm too quickly without it. That would be the only reason I would give them 4 stars instead of 5, but that is an easily fixed issue that I will know to bring up next time.

I recommend Crawdads to anyone that wants a catered crawfish party.
The planning process was very simple. The day of the event, they were on time, very well organized and very friendly. All of the extras like music, beads, etc. just added the extra touch.

Great service but not my favorite crawfish.
I recently used Crawdad’s as a vendor for a crawfish boil for 150 people. Crawdad’s was quick to respond to my request for a quote and to all emails sent. My only complaint about the planning process was that the staff did not do a good job of explaining changes to our quote once we requested a lower-​priced option.
On the day of the event Crawdad’s arrived on time. They had the crawfish in individual takeout boxes, which included crawfish, sausage, corn, and potatoes, ready for each guest to pick up. They also provided bibs for our guests. The crawfish seemed a little bland and overcooked to me. However, our guests ate all of the crawfish so the group must have liked it!
I would use Crawdad’s again for a crawfish boil.

I cannot recommend Crawdad’s enough… I used them for an event at Rice University last year and not only were their prices reasonable for Crawfish, but they took care of everything!
I’m pretty sure they were new to the crawfish catering arena, but it did not show at all. The crawfish were fresh, spicy, and HUGE! They also brought out all the necessary goodies and boiled the veggies separately for the vegetarians in the group.
If you are throwing a party, want crawfish, and don’t want to stress… Call Crawdaddy’s, VERY friendly, VERY professional, and most importantly VERY GOOD!
