Courtyard Houston Northwest

After checking into my room and going to bed I found that there was a water noise that was very noticeable. It wasn’t the sound of normal water running. It sounded more like someone going to the bathroom. The problem was that it was continuous. This woke me up several times during the night and it was hard to get back to sleep. I wish I had noticed this when I first got in the room.
In the morning I found out that my room was next to an electrical closet. I can only assume there were pipes of some type making noises on the other side of my wall. I didn’t feel like getting up in the middle of the night and trying to get another room.
When I went to check out and told the attendant very clearly what the problem was with my room and that I had gotten little sleep. His response was, «that’s too bad». «I will see if I can get someone to look at it». «Have a good day». I don’t expect them to comp me a room, but some sort of gesture would have been nice. Maybe a free breakfast, a reduced rate when I come back, etc. even showing some real concern would have been enough.
Really…$ 185 for a room that was not acceptable. and that’s what I get. There are too many hotels in the area to waste my money on this one.

A wonderful stay at this lovely hotel while in town for my friend’s wedding. The staff said they were in the middle of renovations so I got a free bag of gummy bears, but I didn’t hear noise at all. There was also a card on the TV stating they had noise reduction packs if we needed them. There was a medium pool and a small hot tub that we didn’t use. Gorgeous rooms and beautiful lobby, you can tell they recently renovated the lobby. Very modern décor. Small bar and coffee in the corner. Small store with drinks and sanitary items available. Friendly and prompt service. Located right across the street from the HP campus. I enjoyed the stay, about a 20 minute drive from to the wedding venue.

We traveled to Houston this past weekend for a Super Bowl party — happens every year and we were finally able to coordinate schedules to attend. Chose this hotel since I’m a Marriott person. Arrived around 7:30, check in was quick and painless, as usual. We planned to stay Friday through Monday.
The hotel is undergoing a renovation currently. We were fortunate to receive a room that had been upgraded. It was beautiful! The room was spacious, we had a balcony, and everything was clean and fresh. I love the updates that are occurring at Courtyards. Bed was comfortable and pillows are amazing. I actually considered trading my pillow from home with one from the room, but I DID NOT. I did however, found the pillows online and ordered them. Just as good.
The hotel is close to many restaurants and pubs, as well as the location of our super bowl party.
Staff was very nice and accommodating, even when i asked them to make sure our room was serviced, despite our leaving the room at 1 in the afternoon on Saturday. They serviced the room as promised.
At the end of our stay, we received our bill and noticed we had a billing issue. They resolved the issue quickly and with a smile.
Only negative… Construction began around 8 am each day, including Monday morning. That would not typically have been a problem, except for the hangovers we had due to celebrating with friends we don’t see that often. *sigh*
Recommended and we plan to stay again… next year… Super Bowl… ;)

This is not a nice hotel. It doesn’t look and feel clean. Wallpaper is coming down in the bathroom, very low water pressure in shower and dirty carpets. I found an eye ring on the floor indication that the carpet wasn’t vacuumed. As a gold member I don’t except to get a room next to the elevator. The TV is really small and there is construction going on in the next room. I was overpriced for the tea at the Starbucks and they don’t have soy. She did give me a tea bag when I pointed it out to her. When I asked to have shower caps put in the room I was told I had to get them myself at the front desk.

My husband and I will definitely stay here again when we visit our family and friends! Very clean, great customer service!

I usually stay at a Marriott Courtyard if I can. I like the layout. Hotel is neat and clean, and the room is spotless. Nice desk with electrical for the laptop, phone, etc.
Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful when asked some questions on the local area.
Beds are nice and comfy. I like the different firmness in the pillows also. Nice towels also (fluffy, the way I like them). Wifi was free since I am a Gold member.
This location is very nice and I enjoyed my stay. Will repeat.
ps: those long past reviews of the water issues certainly have been fixed. My shower was a high stream of water as hot as I wanted.
The lobby has been upgraded. Very modern with separate work areas. Has big screen TV also. The Bistro has very tasty breakfast food.
It is located right across from Hewlett-​Packard. The place was booked solid the entire week I was there. ‘Nuff said.

I am ready to take a shower and I have no water pressure! The Courtyard by Marriott can do better than this! Evidently they use a secondary pump for their water that goes off in the afternoon. Johnathan the engineer was helpful but thwy fot to do better.

I stayed there for two nights. Plus side — they are located literally ACROSS the street from my client and also conveniently close to several other major corporations in the area, as well as a major highway intersection. That, however, would be the only plus.
I stay at Courtyards often and I know what to expect — however, this Courtyard was on the «lower end» of the Courtyard spectrum. I don’t know what was going on in that building, but the walls were paper thin and I heard what can only be described as drilling or a drilling vibration sound until way after midnight and once again at about 6:00 AM, which abruptly woke me up. If there was construction work going on, there’s NO WAY it should have ended that late or started that early. It was truly impossible to get a good night’s rest at that hotel. The room was also insanely stuffy, because they had turned off the air prior to my arrival. Typically, you expect them to have some kind of climate control set up before guests enter the room. It took a solid hour to get the room to a comfort level.
Other than that, rooms itself were decently clean, furnished and outfitted with the necessities. It was a typical Courtyard layout, but I will definitely plan on bringing an eye mask and ear plugs next time I visit… because as underwhelmed as I was by it, the proximity to my customer does make it worth it.

Decent place but nothing special.
I had to ask twice for my shower to get fixed… I was not getting hot water. Only had a hot shower the last day of my 4 day trip.
Very limited food options — and marginal quality at that.

I’ve stayed here on several occasions and though its only rated a category II hotel, it feels more like a category III. It has an outdoor pool, and the basic Courtyard café style restaurant inside with it’s predefined food menus, etc.
The rooms are relatively comfy and the bedding isn’t too bad, either.
This location is a stones throw away from the freeway and has a Target and Starbucks within walking distance. Across the intersection is great restaurants and other stores, too.
Like most Courtyards, parking is free and located around the building.

Nope, never again. No hot water this morning. Deal killer for me. Yeah, the new lobby is all cool & stuff, with grass growing on the tables. But, I expect, at a minimum, working plumbing. A promised contact from the Manager never occurred.
I am a Marriott Rewards elite, and stay often at Marriott properties. This property has lost me as a customer.

Courtyard is a courtyard; a Marriott Hotel chain but nonetheless this one has comfy and firm beds, clean facility and quiet surroundings. Staff was friendly and attentive since I had a late check-​in. Overall a pleasant stay and its close proximity to my client ‘s meeting venue the next day made it very convenient.
