I ordered different sides to substitute the sides that came with the entrée and they charged me for them. This was specified when I ordered and when I got my food but was still charged extra on the bill. I confronted the waiter and he didn’t offer to make it right.

I really enjoyed this restaurant. Perfect grilled steak and vegetables. Tres leches was also delicious. Very nice and attentive staff. Easily honored coupons and perfect ambiance for date night.

We love Churrascos! We were here for our first anniversary and we will likely come here for our anniversary every year. We used Cordua(Churrascos) for the catering for our wedding and we think its terrific. The parking here is never a problem, its a big lot that sees most of its traffic during the day so you’ll park easily. One thing to note is that this restaurant was recently reconfigured. They moved the entrance to the other side of the building. This made me confused. The Currascos cut is one of the best tasting steaks in Houston. We also had the ceviche flight and that was a big win. Finally, this place is famous for tres leches. Check out my pictures. The presentation alone is worth it! You should eat here.

I want to preface by saying that I’ve only had one menu item at Churrascos and it was extremely disappointing: the«crab and avocado salad.» Let’s be real, It should be titled ‘Crab Stuffed Roma Tomatoes’ The title and description are so misleading! AND its so not worth The nearly 17 dollars. And the«avocado mousse?» Yeah, that’s called guacamole. I picked up this order to go via Grubhub, and when I showed up they had no clue what I was talking about– even though I’d already paid. It was figured out eventually and I waited for them to prepare my ‘salad.’ I didn’t open the bag until I got home, then of course I went online and reread the description to make sure I didn’t miss something. The flavor was fine. I could see selling it with a better description for 8 – 12 bucks. But come on, a restaurant needs to accurately describe what they plan to put on the plate(or in the box). What sounded like a filling and exciting salad was actually just some crab stuffed in slightly slimy tomatoes with a side of guacamole. To give them some credit, the crab was good. Still disappointing. I won’t be bothering with any of their other menu items and I won’t be coming back.

Amazing food, friendly staff, the emlanadas are to die for. We started with the lobster corn dogs, cooked to perfection. Had the 10oz Churasscos Steak, cooked medium rare, also cooked to our liking. Highly recommend for groups.

The main restaurant here is a solid venue, but the party room off to the side is what really sets this place apart. Churrasco’s has a well-deserved reputation as a top notch Latin American restaurant, and it shows. Don’t confuse this place for a «traditional» Brazilian steakhouse– there are no gauchos walking around with huge skewers of meat to carve off to you. Instead, they aim for a more typical waiter service. I’ve been here for a couple of parties, and they can organize the private room several different ways to accommodate about 50 – 60 guests comfortably. You can organize a three-course menu for the event, which I’ve found to be a preferred option. I’m extremely partial to the chimichurri and their churrasco entrée, a grilled flank steak. The bar is a bit expensive, so I’d skip grabbing drinks here, but the food is well worth it.

Service and food was outstanding! We came for a date night and we were very satisfied with our meals. I ordered the pollo jalapeña and the chicken was so juicy and grilled to perfection! The plate also had a cheese flauta that was very tasty and crunchy! Hubby had the parrilla mixta which consisted of different kinds of meat. His chicken and shrimp were also grilled and seasoned to perfection! It had a taste of several South American countries. To end the night we had their famous tres leches cake that had a homemade sweet taste! Our waiter, Juan, was very knowledgeable and even gave us a tour of the private rooms. I highly recommend trying out this place if you’re into Latin American food.

Churrasco is a great place to go for any occasion. The GM, Claudia and her staff are very nice and makes a meal complete. We’ll be back!

Good value lobster which you can have 2 ways, grilled or steamed. Fresh lobster and the huge customer turnover means that the seafood is usually of great quality. But the long queues can be daunting, as the new generation of Houston restaurants no longer take reservations.

Conveniently located on the south side of Westheimer in the Randall’s shopping center, Churrascos is a safe choice if you want good service, clean, attractive ambiance, and predictable food. There is a lot of «bistro,» bar-type seating at a counter where you sit side-by-side, as well as a lovely patio with umbrellas, lots of greenery, and NOT looking onto the parking lot. The service was spot on; water promptly refilled. I had chicken breast, which was OK — not great. I suspect it was cooked a while back. Upon seating, a basket of banana chips together with some dipping sauces were presented. I did not try the sauces. It was nice to have something other than the traditional chips and salsa. The tiramasu cake was delicious — I could only eat a few bites, it was so rich. Solid. Comfortable dining.

We threw a baby shower at Churrascos and it was pretty disappointing. From the start, their staff seemed really clueless(I got a call confirming our reservation for the wrong time), the table we requested for gifts was missing, and once guests started arriving, there was no food set up or waitstaff to take drink orders.(The manager tried to say that the guests arrived early, but it was after our contracted time). They charged a hefty penny for a cheese plate so I was expecting something fancy a la Houston Dairymaids, but it was just your average cheese cubes plus some quince. They also charged something like $ 7/person for fruit and again, it was very unimpressive. The crêpe station which was surprisingly the least expensive was definitely a big hit though! There was one very nice and attentive waitress, but it just wasn’t enough for our group. Water glasses stayed empty and the canapés went fast and did not get replenished nearly as often as they should have. There was some miscommunication about the menu so we ended up adding food, but for the price we were paying, I expected a lot more. The event coordinator was very apologetic, but it just left a bad taste in my mouth. Even before the event, they were not very helpful(e.g. Q. «Could we have a blue signature cocktail?» A. «Here’s our drink menu»). Speaking of drinks, the only drink menu they provided had prices which seemed really tacky and confusing to our guests(i.e. Who’s paying for this cocktail?). The room itself was really dated and seemed better suited for a business meeting than a baby shower. For a shower, I’d go back to Tiny’s No. 5 in a heart-beat or go down the road to Backstreet Café.

Ordered the Churrascos Special for that night. It’s a great deal for an appetizer(empanadas), 8oz tenderloin steak, and a dessert(tres leche cake). Yummy empanadas! Only downside was that I was already full with that by the time the entrée came by… Steak was decent, wasn’t the best thing I’ve ever tasted. The minimal side of veggies were delicious! Would have preferred to have a dish of just the side veggies tbh.

This was my second time at this location and the food once again was fantastic. I ordered Ceviche(flight of all three) the lobster was tender and tasted fresh, the Ahi tuna was yummy but I wasn’t a fan of the Tilapia. It tasted a bit fishy so I didn’t finish it but for having been my first time eating Ceviche I was impressed and will definitely order it again. I ordered the asparagus and Macaroni and cheese as side dishes. The asparagus had some crunch to it and the mac had some zest. Both were great. I suggest this place to anyone looking for somewhere nice to go but be prepared to bring your pocket book and a vile of your first born’s blood! Expensive but worth every penny.

Ordered the chicken encamisado(b/c we heard it’s one of the best chicken dishes in town) and ribs, both of which were delicious! Portion sizes were enormous and each dish was enough for 3 meals. They also came with a plate of plantains, yucca, rice & beans, etc to share, which was tasty. My only complaint is the service. Waitor asked 3x about alcohol — and it gets annoying after time #2. After he packed up the 2 entrees to go, he gave us a strange look when we asked for the sides and complimentary plantain chips too… Otherwise would have been a stellar overall experience!

Last time I went to Churrascos was decade ago, after today’s experience I recall why I didn’t visit again. Don’t get me wrong, it was not the service, just the food is not tasty as it should be. We went there for lunch and try to beat the crowd so we arrived at 11ish, first customer! After all these year been to restaurant week, I have one conclusion is the quality of food goes down during restaurant week. Anyways, we ordered two dinner dishes from Houston restaurant week menu as recommended by our waiter. I ordered the Ahi tuna ceviche, 6oz. steak and coffee. My friend ordered grilled salmon, and dessert. My Ahi tuna was first thing to disappointing me, it doesn’t taste like turn, more like artificial fish! The taste and texture was just weird. The steak I order was medium rare and it came out more like medium to me, same thing as my friend’s grilled salmon it looked like blackened salmon. The staffs was friendly but that’s not enough for me to go back! :(

I came here for Houston Restaurant Week and I am *extremely* impressed! The food was delicious and very nicely presented. I ordered the Caesar Salad for appetizer, the Bacon Wrapped Filet and Shrimp Brochette for the main course, and the Tres Leches for dessert. All of it was so delicious! The Caesar Salad was very tasty and came with a nice slice of toast which was drizzled with parmesan cheese and rosemary. The Bacon Wrapped Filet and Shrimp Brochette was DELICIOUS, and was very generously portioned. The meat was easy to cut and tasty, and was just a little red on the inside(the way I like it). The shrimp and roasted peppers and onions were also great. The rice was also VERYGOOD, which had a nice tad of cheese flavor added to it. Thankfully, the best was saved for last when I had the the Tres Leches cake! It was soo delicious and an amazing way to end the meal! In addition, the service was excellent! Our waiter was very patient and friendly, and gave very nice recommendations for wine. I ordered Saracco Moscato and it was great. Overall, my stomach and tastebuds were very satisfied at the end of the meal.

Blessing in disguise. We accidentally found this spot because our first choice was shut down early due to the heavy storm in Houston. Excellent service, superb food, and fantastic performance by our waiter Manuel. Walking into this place, the lighting was definitely set for an more intimate meal. A good place to bring friends or a significant other for a night out with excellent food and company. They serve you plantain chips which were light and crispy. It came with a chimichurri sauce and tangy mango sauce that were bursting with flavors. For an appetizer we decided to try the shrimp empanada and chicken empanada. The pastry was cooked to perfection. Ryan tried their famous churrasco and was pleased with it. He said it was definitely worth the $ 50 for a 10 ounce portion, one the best steaks he’s ever had! The steak was cooked perfectly, the meat cut like a knife through butter, which was accompanied by a side plate of rice, beans, fried cheese squares, and plantains with a queso fresco sauce on top. Melissa had the seafood platter. The jumbo shrimp was juicy, tender, and buttery; it also came with jasmine rice and tomatoes slightly cooked with olive oil and seasoning. The dish was a big portion but that was no problem at all! We have to say that this is great place to try out if you’re in the Houston area. A great place to have a date and indulge in some great tasting food. Overall we give this place«two thumbs up.» Would love to come back here if we are ever in the Houston area again.

One of my favorite go-to restaurants for an informal dinner with my boyfriend, celebrating my or others’ birthdays, hosting a formal event, or attending parties. No matter the size of our tab(big or small), I have always been well-taken care of. Great service and great food! They also have great specials during HRWs and at other times during the year. This review is based on my individual experience at this venue and the following statements are my personal opinion. I encourage you to try this place out yourself as your experience may be different.
