In addition to the food regularly satisfying my craving, the service from the sweet lady at the counter is phenomenal. She genuinely loves helping you and is one of the nicest people I have ever met in the food industry. They are so cute with their menu too. The way they posted pictures in the front is adorable. I can tell this is a family owned and operated business, which is what really keeps me coming back. They care, which is nice. Tip: try the egg rolls and crispy spring rolls, because they actually put effort into them. I think they make them in-house, because the egg rolls are different than most I’ve tried at Chinese places like this. Additionally, the crispy spring rolls are very long, which makes them more delicious imo. Love it!

China Wok is one of my favorite places to go! For takeout, I would advise you to order in advance, as it takes a little time to prepare the food. The restaurant is clean, the staff is friendly, and the food is delicious. :) Can’t ask for more than this. I definitely recommend them.

Tasty, freshly prepared traditional American-Chinese take-out. Good prices & a very gracious server. Took a little while to get our order, but everything was as we ordered & enjoyable. Excellent Mu Shu Vegetables, Kung Pao Chicken; good Lo Mein & General Tso’s tofu. Only complaint: crispy spring rolls were quite thin, not very big for $ 2 each. I wouldn’t get these again. We’ll pick something else but we’ll be back.

Outstanding service and incredible food. My favorite dish is the eggplant with garlic sauce. Hands down, it is the best eggplant dish in all of Houston. I crave it and come here specifically to eat it. If you don’t like eggplant, you certainly will after you try it here. Portions are excellent and very affordable. The restaurant is very relaxing and I dine here often. It is a family-owned business and the owners take pride in their food and service. Certain hours can get busy so you can call in advance to place your order for pick up or dine in. I have had other dishes and they are all good.

Excellent House Special Fried Rice! Service is very good and quick. Definitely recommend this place. I’ve been going here for the past 2 years and it’s been great. I would recommend it to anyone who likes Fried rice and Asian cuisines.

Very good food. Great price. We had the general tso chicken, the crispy fish with hot chili, moo shu vegetables and egg rolls. As some previous reviewers wrote, the lady that answered the phone is very sweet. Food was a little slow coming, but all in all very good. I’ll be back!

It served it’s purpose. I got the S/S chicken and was surprised it came with seasoned fried rice. The whole lunch special was 6.55 which was nice. I’d definitely go back and try something else. Sometimes S/S chicken at places can taste the same.

I have been here twice for take-out. I remember being not happy with the bland food the second time. They may have good food sometimes but not consistant. Very close to my house but won’t go back. Also not cheap. if you cant get brown rice right, how are they to do anything else good?

I have driven by this restaurant numerous times and never really thought about visiting since there are bars in the windows. However, I was wanting to try somewhere new and close to work one day, so I finally stopped in. The soft spoken waitress gladly explained some of the various differences of the beef dishes on the menu. I ended up ordering a typical item I like, the Pepper Steak, made spicy. Although it wasn’t spicy at all. Lunch specials are pretty much $ 6.55 here and come with a choice of soup, eggroll and either fried rice or steamed. I went with the wonton and fried rice just to try it out, even though I’m not really a big fan of it. The waitress must have came by 3 times to refill my iced tea, which was cool. Only 1 other dine-in customer during a slow lunch hour I suppose. A few customers came in while I was there to get orders to go and someone had the nerve to ask how much is it for 1 chicken wing. The food was about average for a hole in the wall Chinese restaurant, the interior was very clean and service was above average. The food is made to order, so it will come out hot each and every time. Even the eggroll was hot and crispy, not soggy in the least. I’d give this place 3.5 stars if I could. The worst part may be the atmosphere. It’s just at the end of a quiet shopping center and if it’s not busy that day, it could get eerily quiet, unless she turns on one of the TV’s.

Good family business that deserves a recognition for consistent great food and superb customer service. The good: –DIRTCHEAP lunch special! $ 7.04(6.99+tax) for rice/soup/egg roll/entrée. It doesn’t get any better than this! –But it does! The food is FRESH and delicious. I’ve been to dozens of Chinese places and this place passed my checklist. The flavor is awesome. Try their Chicken and vegetable for a healthy choice or Garlic Sauce Chicken for more flavor. Egg drop soup is the only good soup. Ask for white rice if you don’t care for fried rice. –Be nice to the sweet woman at the counter. She’s genuinely nice to everyone. –support your family/local business! –Who doesn’t like fortune cookies? The so-so: –DON’T take your whole lunch crew there unless you can spare more than an hour. There is only one cook and it will take a while… and every customer who comes after you will hate you. –They close for 3 weeks during Chinese New Year to go to China. Good for them! Bad for us :(Definitely looking forward to them returning. TIP: if you want to take a lot of people there(3+), call and order ahead of time(I’d say 15 – 30 mins ahead depending on how many people). If you wanna do take out, do the same thing. You will save that 15 min of your precious lunch time.

Looking for a break from my regular super expensive Chinese spot I found this lil place around the corner from me. Calling in my order I was pleasantly surprised at how nice, calm and patient the hostess was while take my order over the phone. I don’t think I’ve EVER received such great customer service from a Chinese restaurant even after changing my order several times… literally! I really felt appreciated as a customer. As for my food, I ordered the sweet and sour chicken dinner plate with a shrimp fried rice upgrade(I actually switched out the peas, carrots and onion or bean sprouts and green onion which was no problem or added charge) and thought it all tasted the same as my regular spots dishes. With the only issue of some of my chicken being over fried and hard, everything was hot fresh and delicious. I think it was just a one time fluke and will be returning as soon as they reopen.

Crispy tofu and veggie fried rice are spot on perfect. Sesame chicken isn’t too sweet and the cashew chicken is pretty dang perfect. They gave us chocolate fortune cookies — odd but in a great way. Our new favorite Chinese takeout.

This is our go-to for take-out Chinese food. Always fresh and large servings. Makes it through two meals for us. Even though they do not deliver, it is just around the corner ! We just had chicken & cashews and chicken & snow peas. The fried rice is perfect with the bits of carrots and egg. A family owned and operated business – don’t miss out on this gem

Wonderful surprise! Food is meticulously prepared. Huge meaty pork ribs. No skimping on high quality ingredients. Heavenly wonton soup: light and airy wonton swimming in flavorful broth. We’ve only had take-out. Small restaurant on end-cap in neighborhood shopping center. Look for the big hang in red paper lantern outside. You will not be disappointed.

The salt and pepper squid might be my favorite, even though I have only visited twice. They make a tasty sesame chicken too. The extremely friendly receptionist was also very pleasant.
