I had a great experience with Carphoria. This is a painless and easy and way to sell your car and get top dollar. I’ve had experiences with Texas Auto Direct & CarMax and with that said I will never go back. Carphoria will be the place I go to and recommend people to go to when they want to sell their car. Tawana, Manny & Roxane were so easy to work with and extremely helpful. Everything was explained to the point where I had no question about the process and how everything was going to turn out. Everything wasn’t perfect, so I can’t justify five stars.
Carphoria 101: They look at your car, put the details into a system, and bids for your car come in from their «network» of dealers looking to buy used cars. The process takes 20 – 30 minutes. Super simple, super fast.
My first reason for a less-​than-​perfect rating is this bid system. The highest bid I got was $ 3,600. This was the higher than the CarMax bid I received, but less than the AutoTrader estimate. I said I’d like to get higher than the first quote and they were magically able to check back with their «network» and boom, I got a higher bid.
The second reason is an inconvenience that happened due to some misinformation I was given by a Carphoria rep. My vehicle’s title was in my father’s name, but I was listed as the primary driver on insurance, car tags, etc. I asked if my father (who lives five hours away) had to be their for this deal to happen and a gal said «no, we have some paperwork he can sign and scan/​email back to us.» I expressed my joy at how simple that was (call me dumb for assuming that we have a process so easy in 2015 with all of the identity qualification systems available).
In the end, I got to Carphoria, quote done, car empty and ready to sell, and I told them my dad was ready and waiting at the other end of the line. Confused, asking what I was talking about, Zack/​Zach, the Carphoria guy I was working with was seemed instantly frustrated with the situation. Evidently my pops had to be their in person or sign off on a power of attorney form. I had to go back to a few days — within 7 days — later once the power of attorney form was notarized and… blah blah blah. Too much effort to put in after I was told it was A-​ok that my name was not on the title.
The final thing worth mentioning is the branding of the place. The inside of the offices were very frozen yogurt or day care, not so much car sales. That part didn’t bother me, I just thought it was different.
Bottom line, I would still refer a friend to Carphoria if they had the time to shop around for somewhere to sell their vehicle. After all, having four vehicle purchases under my belt, all car places have their quirks.

I might be the first ever to cry in a Carphoria, because it happened today! They brought me to tears after helping me out tremendously and pulling some strings to help with my vehicle payout. Everyone is very friendly and willing to help in any way possible. It is so obvious how much they care about helping their customers. If you’re trying to sell your vehicle, you MUST bring it here!

I found out about Carphoria because my fiancé stumbled upon them when she sold her car. Everyone there are very friendly. I asked Charles tons of questions and he was able to address all of them. I had sold my 2008 Acura TL to Carphoria a week ago. And they are by far the easiest people I had to deal with when trying to sell my car. They are quick and easy. I got my check literally 15 minutes after I sold my vehicle to them. They also try to give you the price that you would want for your car. Definitely had a good experience with them!
