I’ll try to keep this short and simple. Camera Doctor in Houston has horrific customer service who will not hesitate to blame you for the problems they create. I own a small photography business and I was having trouble with one of my lenses. I took it to Camera Doctor and they told me the lens would be ready in 14 days. After hearing nothing for 16 days and with a photoshoot fast approaching I gave Camera Doctor a call. They told me that they part needed to fix the lens was backordered. I asked why they didn’t call me to revise the quote on when it would be done and I was told that it was my problem and if I needed the lens then I should have called them for an update. Long story short, after 60 days I called again for an update and was told that they never ordered the part needed to fix my lens. I went and picked up my still broken lens and the owner told me again that this situation was somehow my fault. I told him that he lost a customer and that nobody I knew would ever use Camera Doctor. Really a horrible experience that cost my photography business a lot of money in rentals while my lens was out for repair. Please trust me and DONOT use them.

I took my HD camcorder in because the a/c jack broke, and he fixed it in a timely and professional manner. But in so doing, he broke another component of my camcorder, either by accident or on purpose. But since I brought the camcorder in for him to fix the problem, and not to look at or fix something that was not broken beforehand, he now claims it was broken beforehand and I just didn’t bring it to his attention. What a fraud! Did this guy used to be a back alley car mechanic?
