Ordered the carne guisada and was thoroughly pleased. A teeny bit salty but when you have the corn tortilla(?) with the super spicy but delicious salsa, it balances out. I’d definitely be back to try more. My husband had a torta and it was also very good but I liked my dish a lot more

I came here for the first time and I have to say it was an awful experience. The waitress was looked as if she didn’t want to be there. She was not attentive. On top of that me and my husband did not get to eat there because our food was still not ready after 45 minutes. It’s a small place and food should not take 45 minutes or more to be served.

High quality at a low price. Everything that I have tried I have absolutely loved. Papusas, tacos, tamales, rice, beans, plantains, it is all hot, fresh, and delicious. I am so incredibly happy we found this place. The bakery section is plentiful and everything is freshly made. Café Latino may not have the curb appeal or visual appeal on the inside of an absolute gem, but the quality for price is unmatched. The only downside is that the wait can be quite long sometimes, but it is well worth the wait. They give fresh bread and butter to help pass the time until your meal arrives. And the tea is fantastic. Definitely going back time and time again.

WONDERFUL! I tried pupusas, tamals, plantains and the fruit salad punch. Everything was delicious. The atmosphere is relaxed and the staff are very friendly. Taking fresh cookies and leftovers home. A must-try. This gringa will be back!

I absolutely love this place! I haven’t found anything I do not like. Amazing pastries and pupusas… I just gobbled up their chicken tamales… not like grandma’s but so delish. They wrap in banana leaves instead of corn husks so tender and melts in your mouth.

Still working my way through the menu. We started trying the breads about a month ago. There isn’t one that I haven’t enjoyed. There is an empanada with cheese that has become my favorite. The bread is crusty and light and the cheese is just flavorful enough. They go well with a cup of hot coffee for dessert.

I’ve only ever tried the pupusas from here, but everything else that comes out of the kitchen looks amazing as well. Hot, fresh pupusas. You can hear the lady in the back making them just for you. As other Unilocalers have informed it does take A WHILE for the food to come out, even if you’re getting the food to go. The pupusas come with a big bag of curtido and red and green salsa. I love how there’s some burnt cheese on the edge of the pupusas where the cheese just oozes out. HEAVEN. The people here are very nice and do help by suggesting their most popular dishes. They speak English and Spanish. And there’s a whole entire wall of sweet bread for you to enjoy, whether it’s with your eyes, or your stomach.

So happy I stumbled upon this place. The owner and workers are super friendly and recommended several things to us. They also have a huge assortment of pastries. We got the chicharron pupusas and beef papusas, also the yucca and chicharron as an appetizer. I took home several pastries and they were all delicious. I loved everything I ate and will definitely return!

Hands down best pupusas in the area, this is coming from someone who has searched and tried pupusas high and low in the woodlands and surrounding areas. Wish the place was a little nicer and a better location but lets be honest, its LEGIT

Delicious and friendly! If you are looking for chips and salsa, this is not the place. But if you want platanos y crema con frijoles y pupusas y tamales, esta muy bueno! I’ll be back!

My favorite pupusaria! The pupusas are amazing and not too greasy which is my usual complaint at most pupusarias. They also have an amazing breakfast with the thickest homemade corn tortillas I’ve ever seen! Their little selection of baked goods is pretty decent too. Not the best pan dulce I’ve ever had but pretty dang good for this side of town.

Been here a couple times and I can say their pupusas are awesome! Each time I eat here I can’t pass up the combination plate at only $ 5.35!!! You get a soft taco, tamale, pupusa with rice and beans. It is almost too much food for 1 person to eat but I always seem to pull it off despite my better judgement. After you place your order and get seated they even bring you this toasted bread and butter to get you started! The pupusas are the best especially when they serve them to you fresh. They are great eating them plain or equally delicious with cabbage and hot sauce. I can’t decide which way I like them best?!? The taco was double wrapped and full of meat. I was able to split it in to 2 tacos. The tacos were just okay and nothing special. Now the tamales were also amazing. They were very moist and had a good amount of chicken and other items in it. They are wrapped in a banana leaf which I think helps keep the tamales moist. So if you are ever near this place and hungry and only have $ 6 bucks then what here!

LOVELOVELOVE this place!!! Their pupusa’s are amazing! They have the perfect consistency and they’re not super greasy like some other places I’ve tried. I took some to work one day for a potluck and I wound up having a ton of coworkers start going to Café Latino because they enjoyed the pupusas’s so much. Their Tamales are also very delicious. I highly recommend this place.

Great place to come and eat Salvadorian food! The staff is friendly, and the food is good. This place isn’t anywhere near fancy, but it’s worth coming to for the food and sweetbread.
