the service here is amazing and fast, the veggie burger is to die for and the managers really take the time to ask if your experience is great, i love the food cause its actually made to taste great and its inexpensive

I ate here on St. Patricks day, while there was a large crowd of hundreds of people outside. Despite being extraordinarily busy, the kitchen staff was able to hand our table of 15’s order without much trouble. The food was very good, but the menu was slightly confusing. There was no distinction between breakfast and lunch items, and I couldn’t find a place where it mentioned breakfast hours. So I assumed that breakfast was served all day. After waiting in line to be served, I got to the front only to realize that I wasn’t able to get a breakfast item and need to randomly pick a non-breakfast item(or I would have to go back to the end of the long line). That could use some clarification. Other than that, it was a great experience!

This is a chain of restaurants, so it’s nothing fancy, but I like that it is close to where I work and although it does get busy, there are plenty of tables inside and outside on the patio. You order first, receive a pager and pick your table. There is a center area where you can get your drinks, utensils, and condiments. Oh and they have packaged bread sticks, which are more like bread crackers. When your pager goes off, you pick up your food and bring it back to your table to enjoy! Food is decent! You cannot go wrong with anything on the menu. The sandwiches are great and come with chips or fries and I believe you can sub them out for sweet potato fries. The salads come in huge bowls — the shrimp and avocado salad is superb! The turkey chili is also a great option! Parking is plentiful, but be careful when you’re walking, because there can be some crazy drivers speeding through the lot trying to cut through traffic lights on 1960.

This is my first time here and it was really cute. The food was surprisingly excellent and the employees were super nice. We had Chicken Alfredo, BLT and Chicken Soup. I recommend giving this place a try.

I’ve tried several locations in the Houston area and this is probably my favorite. It’s more relaxing to eat here than any other locations. Best part about this place is getting on their email list and getting their BOGO coupons and birthday dessert! The warm bread pudding is delicious. Also their French toast is Amazing and I have tried my fair share of different places!!! You won’t be disappointed! Back to this location– people seem much friendlier. :-)

I love Café Express but I don’t like this location. This place is often empty for a reason. The food portion is less/smaller than other locations and the oasis bar is left messy and missing selections like salsa and parmesan cheese. I usually order the grilled salmon and one time, I noticed that the portion was so small that it was just ridiculous(like 2 – 3 bites). When I asked someone there about it(think he was the manager), he said that they were required to weigh or measure it out and not give out any big portions. Also, it doesn’t help that the place just looks and feels dirty/icky. They really need to close it down for a day or maybe a week and do some serious deep cleaning there.

I’ve never had a bad experience at café express always consistently good food wise and that’s a good thing in my book. And the customer service is usually A+ as the food! I would defiantly recommend trying it for breakfast, lunch or dinner! :)

Aside from the prices, I am a fan. One tip is to get on their email list so that you can get free dessert on your birthday and coupons for when they do the Buy One, Get One Free deal! You are looking at spending $ 10-$ 12 per person here. My favorites are any of their burgers and the Turkey Cobb Salad. The burgers come with your choice of angus, chicken, turkey, or veggie patty. So you can get a Swiss Mushroom burger with a Chicken patty if you want. Pretty neat and offers alot of flexibility for folks. You can get sweet potato fries for an additional charge or stick with the choice of regualr fries, chips, or fruit. Oh, wheat or white bun options too. The pasta dishes are pretty good and I highly recommend the pasta capri, which is a creamy sauce pasts with shrimp. What makes Café Express fun is that they have a bar where you can pick out your additional free toppings like olives, pickled garlic, capers, jalapenos and pickled carrots, pickle spears, gherkin pickles, croutons, sun dried tomatoes, bread sticks, etc. A fancy topping bar is what i call it! Fancy indeed. They have free wi-fi here and outdoor seating too. This is a nice no fuss place to go that is family friendly. One time they took so long filling the orders that they gave us a free dessert and apologized! I did not even really notice the wait but they were upfront about their short staff that day. Great service! Oh, one time I placed a to-go order and we got there after 9pm and they still let me in to get my food. I did not know they closed at 9pm on Sunday. I am not sure what the hours are but they were nice and even took my B1G1 Free coupon too. :)

Usually love Café Express but this specific location lacks in every way — food is sub-par, service is not very good, restaurant is never clean. Have visited twice thinking maybe I shouldn’t judge on one visit only, but this place definitely does not live up to it’s name.

It was okay. Nothing to write home about. I’d rather go to Jason’s Deli which is right across the parking lot. I like the diversity of the menu(pasta, hamburgers, sandwiches, chicken/fish entrees, breakfast) but everything is extremely high in calories/fat without a whole lot of taste to match. For almost every item on the menu, I can think of a place that does it better.

I have never had anything bad here. one of my favorite things is the BLT. lunch time is pretty crowded but the line moves fast and you never wait more than 10 minutes for your food. they have a really cool condiment bar with things like roasted garlic and sundried tomatoes. there’s a nice patio to sit outside if the weather is pretty and the shopping center its in has a lot of good shops. love it!
