One of the perks of working downtown is sliding over to a true NY style deli known as Brooklyn Meatball Co. I find myself wanting this food on the weekends more than any other time.
In this section of the tunnels it stand’s out as the best, to me. For what they lack in swiftness when serving orders they make up for it with each bite. Nothing that we’ve ever ordered came out lame, under cooked or unsavory.
Personally, ordering a salad out is like ordering a bowl of cereal at a restaurant. They get a hood pass, their meatball salad is ‘the hype’ indeed. «Brooklyn Meatball, if you’re listening, please open a shop on the weekends and you’ll never regret it.»

Brooklyn Meatball has the absolute best meatballs I have ever eaten! I had the daily special for lunch (½ meatball sub with rigatoni and homemade sauce!) WOW…
I will definitely be back and tell my friends in the Houston area that they need to find you and have the life changing experience of lunch at Brooklyn Meatball!

A nice change to the usual lunch options at the Shops. The food and employees are great. I met the owner today and he was wonderful and welcoming.
The meatballs are very tasty. And the servings are generous. I ordered a Caprese salad, which came with two meatballs (Joey’s marinara). So yum and filling without having a food coma.
You should really try this place!

Brooklyn Meatball Company, you have my heart! The house salad (with homemade dressing — it has pureed green apples, and it’s to die for), the regular meatballs and the eggplant meatballs, the spicy marinara, the creamy Gorgonzola, those two sauces *together* on pasta! And Joey is always so nice and cheerful, his passion for his food is inspiring, and he tells me it’s OK to eat pasta… Swoon!
Seriously, this is a local business that you should not hesitate to support. The food is excellent, the customer service unmatched, and Joey is someone that you just want to see succeed in a huge way. So glad he is in Houston! Brooklyn, you let a good one go.
