This is the best dentistry I’ve ever encountered. Not only are they very inviting, but they actually care about the patients well being. Dr. Lising is efficient with her work and mindful of your pain threshold levels. They’re great with kids, and also older patients from what I saw during my visit. I highly recommend this practice if you’re looking for magnificent dentists.

Dr. Janice Lising and her staff ROCK. Not only are they excellent at what they do, but they also use the best technology available and have always been incredibly accommodating when scheduling. I no longer live/​work in the area, but making the trip is absolutely worth it. Everyone there always has an awesome attitude too — you can easily tell the staff is happy. Love them!

Great service from the time I called to schedule an appointment all the way until I walked out of the office. Everyone was extremely helpful and friendly. The technology at the office was highly advanced and you are even able to watch television why you wait in the chair. Definitely glad I made the switch and will be going back.

Undoubtedly 5star. Extremely professional staff and team of dentist. Dr. Lising is super nice and very good at her job. Everyone was very caring of my financial situation as a grad student with no dental insurance. As per my wish they only did the minimum possible treatment. The full x-​ray was free!!! And one molar filling cost me $ 140 out of pocket, without any insurance– unbelievable compared to all other dentist’s office who were going to charge upwards of $ 250. I highly recommend this place. They are also very quick, the whole treatment took hardly any time, never had to wait.
I am getting a dental insurance next year and this will be my go to place for any tooth related problems.

Wow, what an awesome and professional staff they have here! Of course everyone hates going to the dentist but these people make it very comforting. The place is very clean, high tech– heck you even get your own TV with cable on your chair (for you ESPN-​ers). The appointment process is easy and they have all reminders tied into your email so you don’t forget. Dr. Lam was very informative and professional, he answered all my questions. The real gem here is the hygienist Jennifer Garcia. She tells you everything she’s going to do, is a great conversationalist (most of it was one way since your mouth is open lol) all kidding aside she’s truly awesome! I have already recommended it to a couple of family members. I recently moved farther away from the area but it’s worth the drive.

I had Dr. Lam and he was great. I hate going to the dentist so very much, I haven’t had work done in 8 years. He made me feel at ease about everything and I was able to get my crown the same day. Hygienist Jennifer was really nice, as well as Michelle and Rachel the RDA’s. The billing coordinator Hugo was awesome, he worked with me on the payments since I just recently graduated college and I’m between broke college kid and my entry level career. The office was clean and high tech. I have found my new dental place from now on

This is a review is only in reference to calling to make an appointment. The process was very simple and the ladies who answered the phones were so nice. I had to call 3 times in order to get the log in information correct for the new patient paperwork, but for once I did not seem like I was bothering the worker because of issues that just happened to be on their end. I called at 3PM in the afternoon and what do you know, I have an appointment for tomorrow.
Just from this experience I am very optimistic about my visit as I was previously with Castle Dental and every time you call you are placed on hold, them workers are rude, or the phones are just not answered. So far I am liking BSD but will give an update after my appointment.

After experiencing a few underwhelming dental visits with other dentists in Houston, I am happy to say I have finally found a place that has met and exceeded my expectations.
The office was very clean, quiet and organized. I actually arrived with incorrect insurance (medical was not the same as dental) but the people behind the desk quickly did some investigating to find the correct company that was covering me.
I then had a short consult with the dentist to get a broad overview of my dentist health and history. This was followed up by x-​rays that displayed results in real time so that I could get feedback immediately. A small high-​quality camera was also used to capture a variety of images within my mouth. Pretty cool to see up close all possible angles of your teeth.
I needed a crown to cover a tooth that had undergone a root canal. There was this unbelievable 3D imaging technology (cerec) that allowed for a perfect fitting crown to be crafted in about 30 minutes. So instead of having to schedule multiple appointments, the crown was put in the same day in a very small amount of time.
I had also had some deep cleaning with some laser treatment to help out with some gingivitis which also went very well.
Overall, everything went very smoothly and the dentist and staff were happy to answer the multitude of questions that I inundated them with. I actually did quite a bit of research to find this place as my last experience taught me that it is very worth taking the time to call ahead and ask the right questions. These are the questions I asked:
Question: What type of material do you use for fillings?
Expected Answer: Most modern places use a composite and not almagam
Question: How long does scaling in root planing take?
Expected Answer: My last dentist did my whole mouth in 15 minutes (which is a joke). It should take significantly longer (up to 30 to 45 minutes per quadrant)
Question: What type of machines (xray in particular) do you have?
Expected Answer: They should have new machines (younger than 10 years) that use a fraction of the radiation as the old machines.
There are lots more questions of course to ask but these should weed out the bad dentists. I also look at the exterior (google maps) and the website. All together you should have enough info to make the right decision. It seemed to help me!

Been to about a dozen dentists in my lifetime in several major metropolitan areas. Always want a clean office, with new equipement, experienced staff who are not rude or rushed, and a billing office that do not make mistakes or try to nickel and dime me. Briargrove does it all. I ask for Jennifer as my hygienist. She is thorough, kind, friendly, and patient.
I’ve been in Houston for a year — I drive by several dentists on my way to Briargrove.

I know I can’t be the only one… but I hate going to the dentist!!!
But I know it’s a necessary evil we must all face so that our teeth don’t fall out by the age of 25.
Luckily, I was referred to this branch and loved it! The office is really sleek and there’s TV’s while you’re getting a cleaning. Hello! #PERK The associates working here in general were very upbeat and friendly. Dr Lising was very thorough, informative and my teeth were shiny and white again.
Had a great visit! I’ll come back (partly because I have to: P) but mostly because I have to :)

Update!
I’m so glad that Corinna at Royal Oaks saw my review. She reached out immediately and gave me options and ways to save money. I went in yesterday and was greeted by friendly employees. I officially have my root canal and crown done by the was as a courtesy she upgraded my crown. I am so appreciative of their service. Dr. khavari was the dentist there and she was great! She made sure I was numb (which is a fear of mine. It’s very hard to numb me) and was very friendly and knowledgeable. I will be returning as a regular.
This review is for briar grove and royal oaks smiles. Well in March I went to royal oaks (there sister dental office) and they had nice staff but the prices are outrageous. I am a working individual who denial insurance requires a waiting period for root canals. I have a dental credit card I can use for some of the payment. However, I was calling around looking for another dentist place and found the briar grove dentistry. I was happy they were able to get me in right away but when I got there everything looked familiar so I asked if they were in relation to royal oaks and sure enough they were sister facilities. Well the guy at the counter told me the amount I will have to pt is the same. I was not given NO other options, all he said was sorry. I am not riding home with a throbbing tooth and annoyed. It’s all or nothing here. Who has 2200 laying around? Not me.

Great service, very nice office, high tech equipment. Overall awesome experience.

If anyone else hates going to the dentist please read this! This place is awesome. I found out about the location from doing a Unilocal search. I was on guard because sometimes reviews can be a little embellished.
No lengthy wait time. Modern and up to date equipment and paperwork all via ipad! Impressive! I got 2 crowns, several fillings done, and a deep cleaning. So pretty intense work and Dr. Lising & the hygienist were amazing. No real discomfort during any of the work. Which anyone who has ever had any work done knows is hard to pull off!
Also a consultation about what I would have to pay and what insurance would pay before we decided on a plan of action for my dental health. They also have several options for payment plans.
MOST IMPORTANTLY I didn’t feel anyone was trying to get over on me and the work I got done in the few hours I was there was exceptional. I know we all avoid going to the dentist like the plague but you only get one set of teeth and finding a good dentist is HARD. Briargrove is worth the hype.
**Also amazing support staff, student assistants, and billing specialist. You can tell a lot about a place from the staff. They were great.**

So I’ve been contemplating on writing this review and I’ve finally decided to say how I feel.
I read all the wonderful reviews on this location an decided to give it a try.
I went in, had my initial appointment and I enjoyed the staff very much, however at the end of my appointment, I was given a breakdown for the suggested treatment and the total after insurance was still $ 6,000, no veneers, no braces…
I was like wow, I thought that was what the insurance was for. I was offered a payment plan, but even it was wayyyyyyyyyy out of my budget.
I was super disappointed and I haven’t been back because I felt like that was a total snow job for someone who just started working.
No effort was made to try and break things down, this treatment and this payment. Just $ 6,000.
No thanks. I’ll keep looking.

I have received an outreach phone call from the office, after they received my review.
Alot of companies wouldn’t bother to contact you after a review, but I was pleasantly surprised to awake to an email from the office manager.
Aaron Parrish,(OFFICE MANAGER) invited me back into the office to speak with me about my initial visit.
Aaron spoke with me in depth and explained everything about my insurance and the pay structure to me in depth.
We spoke about monthly payments and how they will be paid and he asked me if this would work with my budget. He made me feel at ease and didn’t make me feel bad for my lack of dental insurance knowledge.
I appreciate him meeting with me and explaining the process step by step and even more so helping me come up with a dental budget that I am comfortable with and I can begin treatment as soon as next week.
Aaron’s professional courtesy and kindness also that of Dr. Lising as well is greatly appreciated.

Everything about my experience was the awesome! I just wish I had found them sooner.
I was referred by a co-​worker and the place is in a fantastic location close to Galleria. From the initial phone call with Anthony everything was pleasant, I received an email within minutes to fill out my medical history online. Once I got there there were electronic signatures and I was in the x-​ray room within a few minutes.
There I met Brenda Karina, she’s awesome and did some very detailed x-​rays and then took me to a room, they are all so nice! Didn’t have to wait at all and Dr. Janice came in, she was just as pleasant. She explained everything in great detail! I did not feel rushed at all and the whole experience was just the best ever. I can say that I won’t miss any dentist appointments anymore! I also didn’t feel like they were wanting to do more dental work than necessary.
I give this place a thumbs up!!! All the way. I will be referring to all my co-​workers, family and friends.

So I stumbled across this place last minute and i needed an appointment same day. The office staff was very pleasant on the phone and very accommodating.
Once I arrived the office is beautiful, granted its only been open for 6 months, but still.
they’re an electronic office which is great, i did my history online and only had to do 3 electronic signatures once i arrived. They were prompt getting me back also
state of the art equipment, very thorough on all of my x-​rays, and even took pictures of my teeth with a handheld camera that looked like a pen. They also have flat screens in the exam rooms while you wait and have your procedures done
Dr. Hall is the sweetest ever ! i would recommend her. She is very patient and good at calming anxiety down. She also is a great injector if you have to be numbed.

This place is full of friendly, honest, and helpful employees. They take great care of you. After our traumatizing experience at a different dentist my husband felt immediately at ease walking thru this dental office’s door. They are the best dentist office we have been to yet! To have my husband excited and happy about going to the dentist after his entire life hating the dentist says a lot about this business.
Their bedside manner is great. The rooms are private. They let us stay with each other in the exam room if we want to be together.
The waiting room is private, comfortable, has plenty to read, tv to watch, water cooler, and a game section for the kids. Makes the wait by oneself not bad at all for whoever is getting work done or while you wait to be seen.
