Bravo Key & Lock

I went to the shop to get key duplicates, Jeanine was awesome, she took care of my issue in a matter of minutes and not only that she took the time to carefully answer all my questions on dead bolt locks and regular locks. No doubt I am going back to the shop for any kind of locks/​keys issues.

Had Bravo lock in today to fix four problems – one was particularly difficult as the lock had entirely jammed preventing the door from opening. They came quickly and fixed the problem. They also fixed my gate that was not locking at all.
It was a bit pricey – $ 350 – but they did a lot of work and someone else had to deliver some parts. But my locks work and I am happy!
Five stars might be appropriate, but I tend to not rate the highly when the work was just done today. I definitely recommend them.

I’ve come to release that I’m picky — I don’t expect good work — I expect exceptional work. That’s certainly what Bravo Lock & Key has given me. I’ve called them out twice. The first time was to re-​key the locks in my new home. The second time was to add additional locks. They are professional and quick. Lorenzo came out both times and worked really hard to get the job done. I was very impressed.

super fast service. i called the day of and they sent someone out less than an hour later! the guy who answered the phone was super friendly and helpful. the technician who came out, Jose, was very professional and knowledgeable! he was able to get my broken key out, and made an extra set of keys in no time. there is a $ 45 service fee for going out to you but it’s actually not a bad deal. will definitely use them again in the future!

Lorenzo did an excellent job installing a deadbolt lock. He was on time and very professional! I also got a discount for mentioning I found Bravo on Unilocal Great job and highly recommended!

I went to Bravo Key & Lock to get a custom key blank copied for my car. The woman working there was very nice, despite the fact that I arrive a few minutes before the closed on a Saturday. While she could not guarantee that the copy would work (since it wasn’t their key blank), the copy was fast and only cost $ 3.25. The key worked perfectly, and I will definitely come back here for any future needs.

This place has awesome customer service, went in during lunch to get a schlage lock re-​pinned and Gilbert dropped what he was doing in order to help me and get me out of there as fast as possible. I was out of there within 5 minutes. This was the first time using them, and I will definitely use them again the next time I need a Locksmith.

I’ve only been here for key copy services so my rating is solely based on this. Great, quick service. I’ve been here 4 times (I tend to lose things a LOT) and am always in and out in 5 minutes. The staff is friendly, professional, and prompt. The reason I’m giving this place 5 stars is because I drove by here today, on a Sunday, and there was a staff member that just happened to be inside grabbing stuff before he went on a job. I walked in and although he said they were closed on Sundays he still took the time out to duplicate my keys. I couldn’t thank him enough and he made it seem like it was no big deal. Thanks Bravo Key & Lock, I will see you next time (probably in a few weeks when I lose my keys again)!

Dan saved me when I was locked out of my apartment on a hot sweltering night — no car keys either. Great conversation and I leaned a bit of carpentry. I whole heartedly recommend this place!

Excellent work. Excellent price! Javier installed a new lock with 3 plates. He came over even earlier then I hoped for. Almost all technicians are LATE! So I was very happy when he showed up 2 hours early. Courteous and efficient and he finished under 15 minutes!!! Also Jeannine who I spoke to in the shop and on the phone is extremely friendly and sweet. She knows how to do her job! HELLO RUBEN

I feel very upset with Bravo-​lock and key right now. I appreciate how fast they were on their service, but make sure you ask how much there services are before agreeing to have someone come out and fix your lock. They didn’t give me an estimate or warning to how much it would be and now I feel jipped. Of course, I could have asked how much there services were beforehand, but I was in a rush to meet them and felt shocked to how much it was when I got there. Shouldn’t it be there responsibility to inform their customers how much there services will be? It was a total of $ 77.94 just to replace the lock on my front door. Maybe that’s a good deal who knows, but the fact that I wasn’t informed before hand has brought me to frustration. I feel disappointed in there customer service.

Wow! Bravo is amazing! We had a horrible experience with security company (ITECH) installing a lock on the gate to our house. 7 months and numerous visits and they never could get it to work. They even sent out the locksmith they subcontract with and it stopped working a week after his visit. So we finally gave up on them and called Bravo. Again, wow! The courteous tech got to us within a couple hours and he quickly saw the problems and fixed the installation and explained exactly what were the issues. Now our gate actually locks AND unlocks. And this in minutes not months. And very reasonable price. We would definitely use Bravo again.

Dan from Bravo visited today to tighten up front and back door hardware. Really pleasant and knowledgeable technician. I have used Bravo before — and recommend them!

6 stars for Ruben. I called these guys and Ruben came over to look at my needs within 15 minutes. I was not in emergency mode at all, I only needed to beef up the security on my father’s back door and re-​key to match an older lock. Ruben checked it all out, left with his list of things needed, and had it all ready the next morning. I got a courtesy call, and he showed right up, drilled the door for a new deadbolt and changed out a lockset, all in about an hour. Really great service, very fair price, and solid work. I can’t say enough good things about them.
I think these guys work 7 days a week which is a great thing.

after 2 months in my new flat without a key to my mailbox — during which time i literally stalked the hell out of the mail person [sometimes it’s a mailman & sometimes a mailwoman :)] — i finally broke down and emailed bravo key & lock to ask if they would come out and rekey the dang thing.
i sent said email at 1:05pm and had a response at approximately 1:11pm — that’s 6 minutes later for those of y’all who don’t math. the email said they would send someone to rekey whenever was convenient to me — to which i replied «ASAP» [don’t worry i said please].
about 10 minutes later i got a call that they were en rout & would arrive at my place in 5 minutes — which they did. about 15 minutes after the knock at my door — the job was done & i had two keys to my mailbox in my hand!
moral of the story — bravo lock & key is the real freakin deal. expect prompt no bs service from people who know what the hell they’re doing. amazing!

Wow, these guys are really good! I called them to change my locks and Dan was at my door within an hour. He was really thorough and a pleasure to do business with. You can tell he always goes that extra mile for customers. Best of all, it was extremely affordable. I couldn’t believe how cheap it was. I decided to change the casing on a car key. Next day, car wouldn’t start. I figured it was the key because I had problems with the key not working to 100% to begin with.
I was stuck at home so I call everyone I know to see if they can come help but most live far away and everyone was telling me it had to be something else. The dealership said I would need a new key and have the car towed to them to reprogram the key for $ 300. UH… so if I lived 300 miles away? Locksmith.
My one relative in Houston calls me to see how I am doing and I said I probably just need a locksmith. She recommended Bravo Key & Lock and tells me she’s relied on them for 10 yrs and says how great and wonderful they are.
I call Bravo Key & Lock and a man answers happily, asks my location, tells me to text him my address as he finishes up his shopping. He happens to be in the area. The man says he can stop by and take a look at my key and casings to see how he can help.
Less than 20 minutes Bravo Key & Lock man arrives. He shows me the solution to my key problem within 2 minutes and I ask what the charge is– $ 0 !!!
He gave me a sense of peace and sanity. Professionalism beyond, in my opinion. He treated me practically like family. He told me to stop by the store in the morning to fix my casing properly and see if they can get my key back to 100%.
I will bring my key business back to them and gladly pay what ever they charge.
I’m sure they aren’t doing this for they money but for giving people in the Houston community peace of mind that Bravo Key & Lock is someone you can rely on.

It’s a tiny little shop that is easy to miss, but inside has a TON of key options and super-​friendly service.
I’ve gone to Home Depot to have keys cut and so often get home and the keys don’t work. Never had this problem here, all my keys are always made correctly.
