Better Choice Cleaning

They gave me a fair quote for a move out cleaning over the phone. They arrived early on the day of the cleaning and did an excellent job. It took a little longer than they thought it would and it ended up being a little more than the initial quote, but reasonably so. I was impressed with their work and will use them in the future.

One of the girls cleaned our new stainless steel cook top with an abrasive pad and ruined the finish. She was bearing down with the pad making deep scratches even though the cook top was pretty clean to start with.
I sent a picture to Rolando asking if he knew how to remove the scratches. He said «Let me send this to the office. We’ll keep in touch». That was Nov 20^th. I never heard back from him. No type of resolution was offered.
We’re obviously very disappointed and will not use Better Choice Cleaning again.
UPDATE: Rolando followed up with me and although there is nothing that can be done about the scratches in the stainless, he came back out and cleaned the carpet, free of charge. He even offered to do it again free of charge later on. I appreciate the effort he has made to make this right.

Excellent cleaning company.
After the party my carpets were in terrible condition. I do not know how I wash them by myself.
I called, and a few hours later the team came to me. They just did an outstanding job.
I recommend.

I’ve never hired or even thought of hiring a cleaning service before as I usually clean my home by myself.
A friend of mines recommended that I should try having professionals clean my home.
Everything was spotless when they were. I wouldrecommend.

We booked them for a move out cleaning and a deep carpet cleaning at our old two bedroom apartment. They did a very good job and cleaned the carpets very thoroughly.

Better Choice came out to do a move-​out cleaning on my 5 bedroom house. They did an outstanding job. The home cleaning crew was out first thing in the morning, as they were finishing, the carpet cleaners came out and knocked out the carpets. Both Better Choice crews were polite, professional, and very through. This was the least expensive company of the three I received estimates from; great value for the cost. I would highly recommend their services.

I’m moving from Houston to Austin and everything was going like clockwork. The last step was to have a move out clean.
Called Ronaldo mid week to schedule an appointment and he sent me an email confirmation. The service was supposed to start at 8am. 8:30 rolls around and I had not received a call from anyone. I reached out to Rolando and he informed me that he could not get a hold of his cleaning crew and he had no idea where they were. The best he could do was have someone show up 4 hours later at 12pm, but who knows if that would even happen. Probably a scam.
Good news, I called Jesalyn cleaning and they were able to get someone out right away for the same price. They showed up by 11am and would highly recommend their services instead.

These guys came to clean my 3 seater sofa, chair and ottoman which had bad read wine stains. The sofa looks great! All the stains are completely gone! Very polite and easy to work with! I am using the same company for a move out clean and carpet clean in a few weeks time.

Called them up on a Friday and had them come out on the following Monday. Granted they weren’t there on time, they had the wrong address, (not sure how it happened, but didn’t mind because I wasn’t there). When I arrived everything they had done so far looked amazing. The guys that cleaned the carpet got there a little later and did work!!! I had a stain in my bedroom from one of my dogs throw up and stains downstairs from mud, charcoal, and other debris from moving, and they got it all out! Great crew and would hire them again in a heartbeat!

I recently received service from Better Choice for a move in AND a move-​out service. Arranging a reservation with Rolando was easy — I texted my request and he was able to accommodate! Both days the crews were on time and they cleaned thoroughly. The move out service was more expensive, but I’m not going to lie — it was worth every penny. The carpet upstairs was in terrible condition and Better Choice did an amazing job of getting it cleaner than I ever remember seeing it. The bathrooms were also pretty nasty and the cleaning crew made quick work of the funk. They also cleaned the oven and the fridge. I would absolutely recommend this company for move-​in or move-​out service.

They are hard workers with no complaints. I used them for a move in that was trashed. Ronaldo was VERY good. I am about to call them for my move out.

Guys are dependable, fast, and reasonable. My carpets look great. These dudes come highly recommended.

First, company was on time! We decided to go with this company based only on Unilocal reviews. In the past we used a well known carpet cleaning competitor and not satisfied. This company was very courteous and professional, did a great job! He even took out a bad rust stain we had for over a year. Thank you! Yes, we recommend and will use them again!

Just had Rolando come in to clean the carpet in two separate houses. These guys are committed to serving their customers. Very friendly, excellent cleaning. Due to a customer request asking his technician to do extra work, Rolando the owner came out to clean my carpets in order fulfill his obligations. Much appreciated!!! Rolando is someone you can trust who is committed to doing a great job at a fair price!!!

Rolando #2 and his helper are cleaning my windows inside and out today. He is a real perfectionist. Blotches on my laundry room window left by messy painters really bothered me. Rolando cleaned them off, and it looks awesome. It is so great to have sparkling clean windows, as I will list my home on the market soon! They are better and less expensive than the «spray on cleaning» company I used a few months ago.

There are not enough stars… I will die and hope they are there to find the ashes… AMAZING!

We hired the cleaning service based on Rolando’s professionalism and promise to deliver a high quality clean from top to bottom. Rolando walked my house and pointed out all the corners and baseboards that were dusty. He said my regular cleaning lady was missing those spots and his crew would never miss it.
Months after he walked my house, I decided to hire his company. He sent over 2 ladies that didn’t speak any English, whatsoever! Plus, he wasn’t there to go over the job and expectations set at the initial walk thru. I was tied up with my 2 month old baby so my husband had to go over what we wanted.
We left the house to give them free reign to clean. We returned 2.5 hours later to a house that smelled like damp, dirty rags! The only thing that looked cleaned were the floors. And that’s bc I gave them the refinisher product to use.
$ 175 for 3 hours of work, a house smelling like dirty rags and inconvenience of showing how/​where to clean the house is absurd!!! I would rather have my regular maid miss spots than hire this company. They don’t even clean. They wipe down your house with a dirty rags.
Note: my house is very neat, 2 bed, 2.5 bath, and around 1600 sq. ft. Top to bottom clean for $ 175 is absolutely insane.

REVIEW UPDATE BELOW In spite of reading the reviews I was disappointed. We paid for a move — out cleaning and a carpet cleaning. We have a ³¹⁄₂ bedroom 2 bath house that’s one story. They didn’t touch the majority of the window sills, they didn’t clean the baseboards, and it seemed as if they did a surface level cleaning.
The good thing about them was they responded quickly. When I texted Rolando to tell him what hadn’t been done he said he would check with the people at the office to see what happened and get back to me. I never heard back from him. I was disappointed, I was really excited for them to come out.
Review Update:
Rolando contacted me and sent two amazing women back out. They cleaned the entire house AND saved my two dogs. We were in the process of loading our truck at a storage unit when it started raining. We let the dogs out before we left and then had to rush home to check on them. When we arrived we were told two got out but they went and got them. I was sooooooo grateful. Very considerate and our place looked immaculate. I appreciated them coming back out to fix what went wrong. Great company I would recommend them to anyone!

We hired Better Choice to clean and seal our slate kitchen floor. My husband oversaw this project so unfortunately I didn’t see anything except the finished product.
First of all, the floor did not look all that clean — I could still see stains and spots on the slate, but it was completely sealed at that point so the spots were sealed in. I can’t completely blame them for this because when slate is wet you can’t see the stains all that well, but when it’s dry you can definitely see them.
Second, the floor was very shiny. The sealer they put down was a high-​gloss water-​based lacquer that becomes very slippery when wet — and you can imagine what an issue that would cause in a wet area like the kitchen and mud room. The worst part is, the floor was so shiny that you can’t even tell that it’s wet. Everyone in the house including our dogs nearly cracked their head open multiple times over the course of a month as we were trying to decide if we could live with it.
Technically, as I learned later, it was not incorrect to put something like this down on the slate floor, but the guy doing the job (not Rolando, didn’t get his name) should have known better since it’s a wet area — after doing research I now know that there are other products for slate floors that seal it (for stain-​proofing) without making it like an ice skating rink when it gets wet. My guess is that the guy performing the service was unaware of these products. Granted, we should have done research before, but we figured that they were the experts and they would know the best approach. My husband should have known there was an issue when the guy asked what kind of sealer we wanted — no options presented, just a point-​blank question as if we were supposed to have a brand and type in mind.
We called Rolando and he promised us that he would come back out there and make it right knowing that our issue was the floor being a safety hazard. Well, the same guy from the original job showed up, threw a couple drops of water on the floor, stepped on it with his shoe and said «that’s not slippery». They ended up begrudgingly stripping the sealer off the floor and stating that the office wanted them to charge us but he wouldn’t.
I agree that this situation is not good all around — we paid for a service and weren’t satisfied so we didn’t want to pay extra to simply reverse it, and they did what they thought would work so they didn’t want to pay either. I would’ve rated them higher if the interaction had been better at the end, especially considering that Rolando was very comforting over the phone (only reason they are getting 2 stars versus 1), but at the end of the day we will not be calling them again.
