Berripop Frozen Yogurt

The yogurt and smoothies are pretty good, they’re slightly over priced. But I have to say, the customer service is horrible! It’s bad enough that I had to stuggle to find parking let alone the bad customer service. A majority of the time I already knew what I wanted which is why I would get in line but when there’s people who don’t know what they want, and didn’t get in line, I had to wait for them to make up their mind. The employee doesn’t even apologize for the wait or suggests to take your order while the other person decides on what they want. Instead the employee just looks around, doesn’t aknowledge you at all nor thanks you, even after you’ve give her a tip at the end. One time I asked her if I could just order since I know what I want and the other person was still deciding. She looked at me like I had offended her and said no, I walked out. I had never experienced such awful customer service. At first I would over look the bad service because I thought «well maybe she’s having a bad day» or «she’s probably new» but when it was a constant thing and then after that incident I decided to never go there ever again. Unless you like being treated bad and unappreciated for your purchase I would suggest avoid this place because it’s not worth it.

So yummy! Would totally go here again in a heartbeat. This place is within walking distance of where I work. The staff is super friendly and all the ingredients fresh. Go BerriPop!

I used to visit this particular berripop on a daily basis. Until one day this happend:
I was walking towards the door with my 2 year old son & wife. As I approach the door, two somewhat over weight guys cut me off and walk in before me. Normally I don’t get mad & I didn’t, I just thought that that was rude, but there’s rude people all over the city & they don’t phase me.
We walk in & approach the cash register, where you go to place your order. My wife & I stand there & wait for the girl behind the counter to help us. I realize that she’s deliberately ignoring us, even thought all she’s doing is leaning on a counter while on her phone, so I get her attention & she goes, «yeah? What?». I replied with, «we’re ready to order.» And she says, «oh, these guys were here first.» & I look over at the guys & they’re aren’t even standing anywhere near where you’re suppose to place the order. Not only that they literally have no idea what to order & are looking menu all confused & indecisive.
It ended with my wife & I leaving. While in the parking lot we discussed what happened & my wife told that this is like the 5^th time that this girl has pulled some rude shit like that. After I heard my wife’s complaints I decided to blacklist the place. Because in all honesty I think berripop could use better employees.
I have personally noticed that this particular asian girl always seems to have an attitude. And not just towards me but towards the general public. My wife & I would play scrabble while eating berripop inside & this asian girl with thick black hipster glasses would treat new customers with the same attitude that a Starbucks employee would treat someone for calling a venti coffee a large coffee. Except at berripop, this chicks attitude is unsolicited, extremely unnecessary, uncalled for & absolutely inappropriate for an up & coming business such as berripop.
I strongly urge Keith Hudson to reconsider that asian hipsters employment. Bitch is rude & if berripop wants to be Houston leading go-​to yogurt place then she’s gotta go.

This is practically the only place for froyo i even get excited for!
Most places just serve a poor-man’s almost-​ice cream — a semi yogurt, with the smell of preservatives, masking the yogurt — but berripop serves YOGURT, and is proud of it! Tart, smooth, delicious.
From Austin, but get Berripop EVERY TIME i go to Houston. When I went recently, two of my carpool buddies were shocked I’d insist on stopping for Froyo — we were full of dim sum, tired, ready to head home.
But after they tried a bite of mine, they both got –pints– of strawberry froyo.
I wish there was one in Austin :(. 5 stars, no contest!

This tiny little frozen yogurt has pretty good yogurt but it should provide a more pleasant ambience for its patrons. Yes, deliciously tasty, tart yogurt is the most important component of a yogurt shop, which Berripop has. However, yogurt-​eating is also a time to sit and enjoy it with friends, and the strange cleaning supply smell and under-​supplied bathrooms of Berripop are not exactly conducive to doing so.

The options weren’t that great. Lady was just so-​so, I think she was ready to go home.

Berripop might be a good place for you if you are more interested in tart yogurt. I am not. Besides that, the flavors were interesting, but limited. I think there were 5 tops? I recall seeing pomegranate and cookies ‘n’ cream, and maybe vanilla and chocolate? And as others have mentioned, I did not like that you couldn’t serve yourself. The one redeeming thing was that they had chocolate rocks as a topping offering. Also, might be good if you want to know cost ahead of time versus paying per ounce.

I prefer the self serve yogurt shops. This place only had one good flavor, vanilla. Also, one doesn’t pay by the oz., rather by the size. The employee looked at me all weird when I told him that I would like to try the middle flavor. You know the twist lever so you can get two flavors mixed together? I got the feeling that he had never heard of a person trying that before.
If this yogurt place is your first try, then you will need to definitely go with a self serve place that’s where real yogurting is at.

I really like that this store is open so late and I can get a late night luxury! I love that the workers are so sweet and honest.
In Conclusion, I am sad to see that the vanilla yogurt is being taken out. It’s my favorite, and in my opinion the best flavor of yogurt here. :(
P. S.; I love Erica C.‘s Berry Pop song she wrote in her Unilocal review, very catchy. –I enjoyed reading the chorus line, it made me happy.

I reviewed the Rice Village Berripop location previously, and I really do enjoy this chain of yogurt places. The Greenway location is the one most convenient to my apartment so I stop here more frequently. Staff is always super friendly, parking is relatively easy to find (except on a Friday or Saturday night).
Biggest complaint about Berripop v. Swirll is that you can make your own at Swirll which I big time prefer. Still tastes great, though.

Thanks to Erica C. and Minnie T., I will now ALWAYS think of Dirty Pop whenever I visit Berripop. Not a bad thing! A place like this deserves its own theme song.
I loveeeee Berripop. I don’t know about the other locations, but I make a habit to drop by this location all the time when I’m driving home from campus. There’s this young Asian girl who works there (and true-​to-​Maigen-​form, I don’t remember her name :(), and she’s the sweetest. She lets us know when they have our favorite flavors and she never jips us on the toppings. Of all the hundreds of times I’ve been here, she’s always working, greeting us with a smile and a «Hey! Nice to see you again!» I really hope all the other employees are just as sweet.
Aaaanyway, onto the yogurt! It’s true that Berripop IS NOT self-​serve, so they only have 3 – 4 flavors at a time and they change daily. We’ve tried and recommend original, blueberry, watermelon, and, our favorite, mango (unfortunately, mango doesn’t show up as often!). The only flavor I didn’t enjoy was strawberry. Berripop never tastes «fake,» but this one tasted like pure body-​spray, ugh. Take note that Berripop’s yogurt is more on the tart end of the spectrum, which is how I prefer to take my yogurt, but that’s just me. They also offer tons of toppings, but I stick to my usual: mochi, cheesecake, mango, and strawberry. Don’t get gummi bears. The coldness of the fro-​yo tends to toughen them up and make ‘em harder to chew.
I never knew they had acai yogurt! Really, really excited to try that next time.

Berripop is one of my favorite yogurt joints. It’s one of the first I’ve had when the froyo trend started and one that I always keep coming back to. Screw 109 383 flavors. I don’t care if you have Chinese Dragonfruit or Blueberry-​acai-​mango tea flavor… just have a few and do it right. Every flavor that I’ve had at Berripop is so delicious. The texture and consistency is when I expect all yogurt to be. They are more old school in that they still put the toppings on for you. The only downside is that you get charged per topping and you can’t put the proportions that you like. Either way, the yogurt is awesome and it’s even a sweeter deal with it comes with a Groupon. Getchoo one.

I always think of ‘N Sync– Dirty Pop when I see Berripop. Am I the only one? Maybe.
Like the other Unilocalers mentioned, this is not self serve. I like to be the control freak and take charge of how much yogurt is in my cup and the toppings. Let me be the boss. Unfortunately, I’m not the boss here.
My bf and I tried the strawberry with the oreo toppings. The setup for the toppings was different because it was hard for me to take a glance on how fresh the fruit toppings were or what they looked like. I suppose it’s convenient for the server but I would want to know what it looks like before it’s paid for.
The strawberry yogurt wasn’t sweet or tart. It really tasted like Yoplait yogurt. I’ve never had yogurt that had that flavor before. Usually, it’s one or the other, but this was neither. I think we were better off buying a tub of Yoplait and oreos and eating it at home.
I’ll pass on Berripop, but thanks to Berripop, I now remember the lyrics to Dirty Pop.

I remember when Berripop first opened. My friends and I couldn’t stop going. We were so happy froyo had come to town, but not in the tcby kind of way.
Even when swirl and yogurtland opened with much cheaper prices, I kept going to berrypop because I can’t get over their Acai berry flavor.
However, since last year, they have been serving it less and less, and this is a huge disappointment to me. Their other flavors are good but comparable to other yogurt places.
They do have a pretty reliable wifi, which makes it easy for me to do work while I eat yogurt.
I keep coming to Berripop hoping they will have the Acai Berry flavor, and sometimes they do.
The experience is overall good. Solid three stars.

Houston was a little late on the whole yogurt craze but a couple of them have sprung up here. I think Berripop is the best one.
Unlike Swirl or Frozo-​Yogo or whatever, they make it here for you, which I think is a huge plus. When I went to Swirl, I made a yogurt «sundae» and it came out looking like globs of white crap. I also think the quality of yogurt is much better here at Berripop. It is more tart, firmer but not frozen solid, and just seems more quality.
I left out one star for a few reasons. First, it is too expensive. Small yogurt + 3 toppings is $ 5 which is kinda pricey IMO. It is a lot more pricey compared to Swirl/​other places; $ 5 = $ 2.50/$ 3. Second, the yogurt sometimes is a little too tart. Unlike Pinkberry, which I really love, it can get pretty sour. This is just my personal opinion and maybe some people like it that tart.
Still it is a great place: I love the original yogurt w/​mochi, chocolate chips, and strawberries.

I love it. The location is awesome, right next to edwards greenway, awesome music, free wifi, cozy atmosphere, super nice workers and manager, fresh fruits and of course the yogurt. Try the peach yogurt with cocoa pebbles, strawberries and mochi. Its like a party in your mouth! I’d pick it over Swirll in houston and Pinkberry in LA any day!
All ’round good experience in every way. A must go.
