Looking for a place close by and this place was down the street. I walk over with my dog and open the door. 2 women are behind a desk and literally just look at me. No smile. No hello. Nothing. If an initial greeting is not the basics of customer service here, I can’t imagine leaving my pup here. I turned around and left. No further information was needed for me to know this wouldn’t be a good place to board my dog.

Excellent place for daycare for your pet. Caring staff who love their clients and take good care of them. Our dog can’t wait to get to school in the 3 mornings a week he goes there.

I’ve been taking my dog to daycare there for about 3 years, and I board her there when my regular boarder can’t take her. I dropped her off last Saturday morning to board for one night, and requested daycare for both Saturday and Sunday. When I picked my dog up Sunday at 5, the bill was $ 60. This included the one night of boarding ($ 30) and the RIDICULOUS $ 30 Sunday pickup fee (why charge people to pick up their dog if you’re open anyway??). I didn’t think about it at the time, but they didn’t charge me for daycare. I called and asked to speak with a manager and she said she looked at my records and there was nothing in the system about daycare, so my dog sat in a kennel for 2 days. No apology, no trying to make the customer happy, and she even made it sound like it was my fault, like I hadn’t requested daycare instead of the person at the front desk not noting in the system. I will never go back. People make mistakes, I get that, but if you’re going to have someone deal with customers, then make sure they know how to deal with customers.
They just lost a couple hundred bucks a month and a loyal customer due to their unbelievably horrible customer service. There are too many other options in Houston for me to give them another cent of my money!

Was not a fan of this place. We used them a few times for boarding. Staff was not very patient or nice. They overcharged me the last time I was there and it took several calls and emails on my part to get that issue solved. I can’t say much about the experience from the dogs perspective but as an owner I was not impressed and have since found a new place for boarding.

My puppy use to come here regularly. I choice Bed and Biscuits more or less because of it’s location– which was convenient to how I came to work. There is another day care I cared for more, however sometimes they are packed and I’ll bring my baby here instead. I had a initial reservations, due to the front staff very non-​nonchalant attitude to things I would ask. Young, maybe teenage, staff– which doesn’t have to be a bad thing, if they are trained good customer service. This alone did not deter me from continuing to take my puppy here. I usually call to check on my dog when she is in day care, one particular day I called to check on my dog and they reported all was well. 30 minutes later I received a call from the manager telling me that my dog was playing with a Boxer Terrier and the Boxer scratched my dog’s ear. He made it sound so minor, and since my dog is very friendly (she a big dog, but a Chihuahua has made her bleed before) I though nothing of it. When we spoke, he did reveal that they found blood on the floor and they had to locate which dog got hurt… This bothered me, but again, he made it sound as if it wasn’t even noticeable. This was not the case when I got her. It was the first think I noticed– my puppy’s ear was actually torn. The girl up front couldn’t care less. Stood and smiled at me like all was well. I was so livid. I started to call the manager the next day, but I decided it wasn’t even worth it. They clearly do not watch the dogs, and must have concocted the story about the Boxer– that wasn’t a scratch, it was clearly a bite. I do find it unusual that I received this call minutes after I called checking on my dog.
I gave them a 2 stars because they did at least try and clean the bite and they called me (even if I believe it was partially fabricated).
I will NOT bring my dog back here.
I will also note that I was asked regularly if I would become a regular (there was another day care I preferred so I always declined).
I would not recommend them, there are better daycare.

These people don’t only care about my dogs, but they care about me. PJ, the owner, has been there for me when I’ve had problems with my dog and truly helped when I have had late nights at the office or just needed someone to talk to about behaviorial issues or socializing my foster dogs with my dog. She has a heart of gold — loves dogs and really cares about her clients. Greg is also great — super responsive, and though, I don’t see them often since I use B&B primarily for dog walking, I absolutely love seeing how excited my dogs get when they see Greg or other B&B folks they know. It assures me that they are in good hands.
I’ve also used B&B for grooming, boarding, and doggie daycare. It’s been great. I have and do constantly recommend them.

Absolutely the worst customer service I have ever encountered. Owner of this place is an absolute B****
First I went there before Thanksgiving just to see if my dog could spend the day there. As I was walking in a couple people were walking out after dropping their dogs off. When I walked in two women were are the front counter. The one lady that turned out to be «one of the owners» as she so proudly stated later was telling the other girl that they can’t take dogs after a certain time anymore. That time just so happened to be the time I was walking in.
I proceeded to say that I would like to drop my dog off for the day and that it was his first time so I brought his medical records with me. The lady looked at me like I was crazy for trying to bring in a new dog a couple days before thanksgiving and said with an attitude. «Sorry, we cannot accept any new dogs, were too busy, we have 100 dogs coming in over the next few days». I said I dont want to board him overnight but that I just want to see how he does during the day because I’m leaving out of town after thanksgiving. She said no because he has to have a temperament test to see what kind of dogs he can be around and that they dont do that on Mondays. Then she said «im one of the owners here» as if i was supposed to care or that the way she was just talking to me was now justified. She said I needed to come back after Thanksgiving.
So a week after Thanksgiving I bring him in on Friday. The same owner lady was sitting at the front again. I said I would like to drop my dog off and she said no because they don’t do this temperament test on Fridays. The guy that does these test’s was sitting right next to her! Then she said that they only do this test on Mon, Tue, and Wed and that I need to make an appointment for it. I tisked and then she said that I shouldnt get an attitude about it. I told her that they didnt tell me any of that when I came in the first time. She didnt care. Then this guy told me to come in on Tue at 9 AM for this test. Well I leave on Monday, so its impossible. These people are F*ing retarded. But wait, it gets better.
My girlfriend called up there after I told her this story and asked what their boarding prices were etc. The owner answered the phone but then transferred us to the manager that was sitting next to her, Greg. We told him that we had a dog 50 lbs, 8 months old, not fixed, never been there before and that she was leaving to go out of town on Monday and wanted to know if we could drop him off Monday morning. He said absolutely no problem. WTF!!! Why is it that when I come in person I get a very rude «owner» and when a women calls nothing is the matter, were told no problem to everything and absolutely no mention of the stupid temperament test!
If there are other owners, I would suggest not letting this lady anywhere near your customers as she does not give 2 shi** about customer service. I’m betting the only reason this place is even still open is because they are cheaper than some other places we called. But then again, you get what you pay for. If they treat human clients like this I cant imagine how they treat dogs.

I’ve been taking my girls to Bed & Biscuits spa for about a year now and they absolutely love it! Donald the owner is always accommodating and sends me an email reservation and also a reminder when vaccines are due. When I arrive the staff always know who we are and are waiting to take them to go play. My dogs don’t even say bye to me… they run for the doors and love it there. When I pick them up the are always clean after having a fresh bath and clipped nails. When I drive home they can’t stop telling me about the time they had and are so happy! I will never use another boarding/​pet spa and I ALWAYS tell all my clients about our experience. 5 stars and 2 thumbs up! Thanks BED & BISCUITS!

My dogs have stayed here a couple of times. I usually use it when my dogs have to just stay one or two nights.
The staff is friendly, and they always greet the dogs by name. This makes you feel better when you are dropping your four-​legged friends off. They really seem to care about the animals. They have full-​day and half-​day of dogie daycare available as well. I usually get my dogs a half-​day with their stay. I figure they need more stimulation then just laying around, and they are too lazy to handle a full day.
This place is expensive. It does not seem to be at first, but there are add-​ons. The last time the two of them stayed for one night it was around $ 120. The initial boarding was only around $ 40 per dog, but when you add on half-​day of doggy day care, and Sunday pickup fee things start to add up quickly.
I really like the people who work here and the place is convenient. I feel safe leaving my dogs there.

I’ve been using BnB for years for both boarding and day care, as well as some in home training for both of my German Shorthairs. The older one until she passed and then the new puppy (who is now 4).
I became a fan when they cared for my first dog. I had to board her after surgery for a last minute business trip and she required some extra TLC. They were the only kennel that would take her. I was so grateful to come home and see that she had come a long way in her recovery. It was obvious they had addressed her special needs. I’ve been a loyal patron since and am always quick to recommend them.
The staff is amazing and I know they take excellent care of her when I travel. I have one of the calmest, well adjusted GSPs Ive ever met and i credit her time with them for a lot of that. She loves it here. Especially on outside play days!
Centrally located, clean, attentive staff, and organized. They go the extra mile. You can trust them with your best friend and fur baby!

I tried out this groomer despite some of the reviews. Unfortunately I have to agree with most of the reviews in they didn’t do what I asked and were unorganized. I give them one star since they didn’t charge me.

I have heard nice comments on this Montrose area doggy day care as some of clients have used this facility.

I have been using Bed and Biscuits for several years now. and this is a place where I leave my little one often, and he is like my little child, so this is saying something about the quality and care here.
The staff is really wonderful, and they will personally get to know your dog and take great care of them. My little guy can be somewhat of a challenge (hes a pretty dominant little min pin) and they really work with him to make sure he is happy during his stay. Donald usually gives me a little report about Diesels stay as well. The kennels really are a generous size, and they are all individual. You can pay a little extra to have your dog in an open room (or outside depending on the weather) playing with other dogs (doggie daycare) all throughout the day, and they have both a small and large dog daycare.
They do also offer grooming, bathing, nail trims, etc. All at very fair prices. The boarding prices are really fair as well, especially given the location.
This is my go to dog boarding facility. Great place!

It was the 4^th of July weekend and of course every single pet resort was at capacity, but luckily I snagged a place for my oh so beloved dog Momo for 4 days and 3 nights here at Bed and Biscuits. A reservation is normally required for any place you’re willing to board your pet and I did just that. The receptionist was friendly and was willing to answer any of my questions. This was my first time boarding Momo here (he’s usually at Kickapoo Dog Ranch) and I was extremely nervous for him and how he would behave etc, the staff reassured me that they would take care of him, and would follow the instructions I left them. Being the overly nervous and anxious person that I am, I called every single day to check up on my pup and they said he was doing just fine. The facility itself is clean, and reasonably spacious, of course it being a doggy day care/​resort/​spa it did have that wonderful dog stench to it. Bed & Biscuits does offer grooming for a very reasonable rate, cut, shampoo, nail trimming for $ 45, I usually shell out about $ 90 each time at Petco and this was such a great deal for me and I got exactly what I wanted — trust me, I’m VERY meticulous when it comes to my dog’s haircut. Bed & Biscuits is very comparable and even competitive when it comes to boarding/​daycare/​grooming rates. Their prices are very reasonable and affordable compared to other pet resorts in Houston — their wonderful staff with a great attitude is a very much appreciated bonus. All in all, my dog had a great time, I heard very wonderful things about his interaction during daycare/​playtime. When we both got home, he was actually SAD that he wasn’t around to play with the other dogs! I will definitely be returning in the future. Super big thumbs up!

I’ve been a client of Bed and Biscuits for four years and I would recommend them to anyone who is in need of a safe and responsible day care to leave their dog. They have always been kind to me and provide a supervised and playful environment for my happy dog. Thanks for everything Bed and Biscuits!

I’ve been taking our fur babies to Bed and Biscuits for about a year and a half now for grooming and doggy daycare after grooming (so they would not sit in a cage all day). Initially, I thought Bed and Biscuits was clean and well managed. However, recently within the past 3 – 6 months I’ve noticed a steady decline.
When I walk in the front door I notice a strong urine and dog smell, there is lots of pet hair on the floor and the employees at the front desk seem stressed and disorganized. In fact, the last time I took my dogs there they had no idea who my dogs were or where they were and indicated that I may not have dropped them off there! Let me tell you… I felt helpless when they were taking 15 minutes to locate both my dogs… an employee came out and said «they are not here-​we can’t find them.» They had more than one employee looking for my dogs. Another customer standing in the lobby looked at me and could see the horror and discomfort written all over my face. This is not something a customer wants to hear.
They did finally… after 20 minutes of waiting bring our dogs out but let’s just say I was not happy. I politely paid and left-​I just wanted to get out of there-​I was so disappointed and knew I would not be back after being a customer for a year and a half. I understand that a dog boarding, grooming and daycare business will have pet hair, etc. However, as I said I’ve seen it better, so I know that they are capable of keeping a cleaner facility. Also, I’ve observed-​given they lost my dogs and had no idea who they were-​that they have too many dogs and have difficulty managing them given they could not locate my own.
The grooming is ok-it’s not consistent but more importantly my dogs have been stressed when I pick them up, they try running out the door when I drop them off, which is an indication to me that they are not happy being there (this wasn’t the case when they first started going).
I hate to write less than good reviews and I’ve waited a fair amount of time for B&B to get their stuff together… I just won’t be going back.

Recently left my little Yorkie there, he is a regular and did not expect to get a phone call the next morning that he had been rushed to the hospital (apparently colitis and severe separation anxiety), Teresa drove him to his vet, went to the pharmacy and got the prescriptions and kept me informed on whether I needed to book a return trip home. The next day another trip to the hospital to see if possibly he had some type of bacteria and would require hospitalization.
Thank goodness he was not found to have a parasite or other worse issues, the proper way they handled the situation kept me from being moved to the closest rubber room. When I picked him up they did not have the proper invoice but they finally got it straightened out so I could pay them over the phone. Appreciated their sincere help.

We’ve been using their grooming service for 2 years without any major problems. However the last couple times they seem to be very disorganized and front desk staff seems to be a revolving door. We always tell them to go by the grooming instructions in the computer, no change since last time. It usually runs relatively smoothly and we’ve been happy with our dog’s cut and groom.
On our most recent visit, the desk person says at dropoff there are no instructions saved in the computer, and has us fill out all the grooming/​haircut instructions again. Three hrs later, I get an urgent voicemail from the groomer saying she cant start the haircut until i call back with grooming instructions as nothing is saved in the computer. !!! So I call her and review it all again. I ask about expressing the glands, cutting nails and wiping ears and she says the bather would’ve taken care of all of that. i took her word for it.
At pickup, a staff member was talking to the girl at the desk about how they have absolutely no food in the back and she needs to tell the owner to buy more beneful bc they’ve totally run out! the front desk girl kept hinting to the other girl to stop talking about this in front of a customer (me) but she didn’t seem to get it and went on about there was not a single crumb of food in the back and she needed to get in touch with the owner asap so they could buy more food before coming in. glad my dog was not being boarded there that day!
After getting home, I noticed my dog was scooting for a few days so i called back to confirm his glands had been expressed. They let me know that they have a new bather and her new policy is that even though its included in the bath price, gland expression and ear cleaning are done by request only so «I apologize but it wasn’t done and ill make note of it for next time.»
They should put up a sign or ask longtime customers if they want these services if it is all of a sudden no longer to be assumed due to a new bather! Seems like an obvious and logical thing to do when your policies change. Apologizing and saying they’ll make a note of it for next time (likely 2 months later) makes no sense to me– the gland expression can’t wait that long. So i requested that I bring him back to take care of that. Ended up having to drop my dog off for another full day just to have his glands expressed. What a hassle.
I also have noticed the level of cleanliness has changed– the lobby is grimy and does not look or smell clean or even neutral. We’ll definitely be looking for an alternative, more professional, grooming service for next time!

I have taken my dog there for over a year. Until recently, i have had no problems. In fac, t i have referred several people. Yesterday, my dog was attacked by 2 other dogs resulting in significant injuries requiring staples. The owner was unprofessional, unapologetic and confrontational. She tried to place blame on my dog even when the kennel techs involved all agreed that my dog was not to blame. There was another instance a couple of months ago as well. I talked to the owner at that time and she agreed changes needed to be made at the daycare. Unfortunately, I dont think things have changed at all. I will no longer take my dog there.

Bed & Biscuits is truly as good as it gets for an affordable price. Last December I called & visited about 7 boarding & daycare facilities either in, or adjacent to, the Heights. I found they fell into two categories: cheap or deluxe.
The cheap places were less than $ 30 for overnight boarding, but the 2 I visited had dogs sleeping in crates or cages stacked on top of each other in one tiny room! I wasn’t sure that would be the best arrangement for our dog who has extreme separation anxiety and hated his own crate at the time.
Deluxe places were $ 40+ but each dog sleeps in its own kennel (much like what you’d see at the SPCA), or, for a small fortune, a totally private room. One of them didn’t even have a private kennel for the base price, instead making your dog share with 2 or 3 other dogs. Plus if you wanted to add daily playtime, they’d charge even more!
Bed & Biscuits, however, fell into a rare third category: less than $ 30 for overnight boarding, and your dog sleeps in his own kennel (walls on 3 sides, chain link door). For $ 9 you could add 4 hours of playtime a day. Just right.
We liked the experience so much, we often use them for daycare. We haven’t experienced any problems, and our dog absolutely loves it there. They also offer grooming.
So, you could go to one of those fancy places if you have tons of money to burn. And if you have a tiny dog, I’m sure the cheap places would work. But if you’re looking for the perfect combination of privacy, socialization, space, and a good price, this is the place for your pooch while you’re away.
I should say, I’ve had this review on hold for days because I really like that they’re not too crowded now. It makes for some perks which wouldn’t normally happen if they were always full. But being that we’re moving soon, I guess it’s okay to share.. .
