we almost beat the security man ass at the door for stealing money from my friend. It was hot stank but on the plus side the DJ jams.

The food was great here. However the service from Victor was not so nice. He was rude and inattentive.

I have a great time here and know all the staff it seems! I would really like to see the gay bar culture expand in Houston to a point that it is more on par with other major cities in the United States. I do like the patio and the service is excellent for me and my friends.

I’ve only gone on Fridays! Cover is $ 15 after 8(but it’s really not live til around midnight). Fridays drink are 30 cents which makes up for the cover! It’s a gay bar but there’s still alot of straight ppl who goes for cheap drinks. If your a girl you will get hit on cause theres quite a few straight men that go there and if you don’t like the attention the guy gives you you can always use the«oh I’m gay» card haha! The dresscode is super relaxed, some ppl dress up other come in with jeans shorts and a tee. I think it would improve the atmosphere if they enforced a dresscode, but whatver. It’s pretty fun if you want to get away with underage drinking and just dance!

Strong drinks and pretty good hh prices. Typical fried bar food, salsa very tasty. Bathrooms clean but lacking toilet paper. DJ and music fun and entertaining. Outside patio for smokers. Service a little slow, on a slow night but all kinds of people watching…

Well, after having been to Anita’s Bar & Grill many times, and having known the drama and issues with the food consistency, the service issues, the on drag/off drag, schtick, I decided to give this place a try to see if things had improved a bit. I was sadly mistaken. The interior of the restaurant was a very dreary chocolate mixed with a guacamole green. The new bar was oversized, looked unfinished, and was tended by the same rude, inefficient bartender that worked at Anita’s! The drinks were still watered down, the clientelle was still coked up, to much greater levels on this trip. Their eyes almost seemed to bug out of their head… scary. The place was filled with a bunch of detached half straight people that were not even attractive. And all of this, on GAYPRIDEWEEKEND! Very disappointing. I really hope that eventually, something with a little more staying power pops into this space and makes use of the once beautiful patio facility. Don’t waste your time or your .50 on their watered down drinks. They will only leave you disappointed and angry.
