Don’t follow the map, it will never get you there. It is in the Kim Son plaza. I was really excited that they have BAMBU in Houston. It hits the spot every time. So when I’m in the area, they will never be unvisited. I haven’t tried any of their drinks, but they’re known for their che.

Sorry I’m just not a fan of this place. First the lounge area was super hot and it was almost impossible to enjoy yourself without drowning in sweat. The green tea drink was terrible and so was the frozen coffee drink. The green tea was more like jasmine tea and not real green tea and it was fruit flavored«ugh», real green tea drinkers would cringe. The coffee drink had chocolate syrup all over it which confused me because I didn’t ask for anything mocha related. The only thing that was decent was the cantaloupe frozen drink. The staff wasn’t friendly and acted like answering questions was a big issue… Just not impressed !!!

I must say I did like my drink. I had their watermelon berry special, very tasty. However, I didnt like the boba. It had a very sticky consistency. I tried The Thai tea and it was really bitter :/

Pricey but good; Bambu Special is worth the try — I usually get it without Longan, but it’s good either way.

Love this place So many different kinds. They are all good. I always stop by here when I am on this side of town.

Very chic interior with a ton of selection of Vietnamese desserts(che) and smoothies. Can’t go wrong with the amount of beans and jellies they put in each cup.

They’ve expanded inside and it’s so much better than their old layout. Bambu special(#1) is what they recommend for new folks trying out bambu. For the adventurous, number 4, 6 and the avocado one are recommended. I personally wasn’t a fan of 4 and 6 but I do love the avocado dessert. You need to try it, it’s so good however there was one time where they didn’t make the dessert the way they do. It was so thick that I could barely drink it up my straw and it wasn’t as sweet as the others. I also recommend the taro coconut smoothie and avocado smoothie with pearls. They also started accepting credit cards, thank goodness.

I’m not really into sweets, so I had never been here before. Came with some friends for some post-crawfish treats. It was PACKED(Saturday night around 9pm). People everywhere, children everywhere, loud talking, loud music, etc. It was pretty chaotic. They seem relatively efficient at the counter though, since they were processing plenty of to-go orders along with dine-in. I got some kind of coconut lychee basil seed drink, which was not too sweet and pretty refreshing.

Bambu has definitely down scaled throughout the years. This location has recently taken over the store next door. The drinks are okay now nothing special. If I had to recommend something, I’d say get the Bambu special(coconut water, basil seeds, and various fruits) or the Avocado Brick(hand smushed avocado with jelly and boba).

I have been to this place every time I come down to the Bellair area. It never disappoints me, well except for one time I ordered something totally new so I didn’t like it(#3 special) but it’s because I never had it so not my favorite. It’s sure somebody’s favorite … Maybe. I like creamy stuffs so avocado and some coconut milk related treats will get me high :) Anyway, it’s good, try it.

I believe this place is the new Fad! When I’m around Chinatown I crave for #6 on the menu! All day! The first thing I usually crave for is tapioca. But any who back to bambu. Out of the 3 locations I’ve been too this is the only place that actually hooks you up with all the different toppings. I always ask for extra pandan Jelly(chewy green thing). Maybe cause it reminds me of tapioca same consistency. The best part of #6 the coconut milk! Super refreshing and everything mixed together is like nothing you have ever had before. Great concoction! The Unilocal map does take you to a different Plaza either that or my GPS Sucks! Lol but it’s in the same shopping center as Kim Son!

This is the best location. They are so sweet. The drinks are delicious and consistent. My favorites are #6 #10. I have been to the Sugarland location and the Ellington location, but this location best of the best. It would be nice if they open a location in Pearland.

CASHONLY It’s an ok place. I’ve gotten the Bambu special which is the #1 and it’s good, also had the #9 and it was good too. I’ve had che ba mau here(don’t remember which number) but it’s not good, had the #4 and it’s not good either(has no flavor and tasteless) and lastly I’ve had the almond coffee here and it tasted good at first but after a few sips I started not liking it because it was TOO sweet. Overall I probably won’t be buying here myself unless someone asked me to get some with them or bought me some

My brother in law took us here on our first night to try out Vietnamese desserts. It was one of their favorite places to go during night time for desserts. The interior of this place at night is very hip. It wasn’t too crowded for a Thursday night. There were TVs on so we watched football. It’s nicely lit inside — definitely a place for young hipsters to come hangout. I ordered their #4 signature dessert which consists of shaved ice, red bean, grass jelly, some green chewy thing, with coconut milk. It was very tasty. and i really enjoyed it. The other family members that we came with ordered a different kind of desserts. This was my first time having this kind of dessert and I really liked it. Would definitely come back when I’m in town again.

CASHONLY!!! I like the #6. It’s delicious. :] It was totally empty when I went and the place looked quite clean. It’s kind of strange that they make your dessert/drink in the back… a little discomforting. My #6 was packed with plenty of jellies and fruits and simply refreshing and yummy. The only reason I docked one star was because of it’s location. HK4 is just nasty, dirty, and sketchy mcsketchville. It’d be better if they were located on the outside towards the parking lot so you wouldn’t have to actually go into the mall but I bet they couldn’t rent the spaces out… So yeah… Team #6!

Favorite place to grab Vietnamese dessert. #1 Bambu special and #6 Che Trai Cay are my personal favorite. #1 when I’m feeling coconut juice and #6 for coconut milk. Located to the right of Hong Kong City Supermarket.

This chain is becoming ridiculously popular — so popular in fact that the fifth location is opening soon here in Houston. You know business must be good when this particular Bambu in HK4 is opening less than half a mile from another Bambu shop — and both are still packed! For those uninitiated, Bambu does a modern take on a traditional Vietnamese dessert called chè( ). It’s basically made of various sweetened beans, jellies, and other various ingredients, and topped off with sweetened coconut milk and chopped ice. It’s rich, sweet, refreshing… and sooo addicting. I have to admit that I’ve had a chè addiction ever since Bambu opened… my pocket book and waistline probably aren’t happy, but my tummy has been! It’s the perfect dessert on a hot summer day. They serve other types of drinks and coffee, but in my opinion, if you’re here, got to get the chè! Just as Diana N. has pointed out, this place is kind of nice because it’s much roomier. The original Bambu up the road can sometimes get super cramped and congested during busy hours. I know I will be back again(and again) whenever I’m around HK4!

Yay, a new Bambu location!!! Of the three Houston locations I’ve been to, this one is the roomiest. I frequently go to the one near Kim Son on Bellaire, but will start coming to this one more often. The drink menu is pretty standard compared to their other locations. Much newer and clean here. I’m sure word will get out and all the Asians will flock here soon. Drinks were made just right here; other location would make it too sweet sometimes. Staff was nice and helpful. Conveniently located in Hong Kong mall. Grab a meal and then stop by here for a treat to go.
