Business Owner

Mel brings more than 25 years of solid experience to Avalon Suites and has held senior management positions in information technology, operations, facilities and real estate. Prior to opening Avalon Suites, Mel held the position of VP of Operations for Internet incubator Campsix. Supporting the rapid growth of the incubator, its partners and portfolio, he expanded the facility to 75,000 sq. ft. supporting as the business grew from 5 to 200 workspaces in 6 months time. Mel developed a proprietary (patent pending) Incubator template and operations cycle process facilitating the rapid deployment of expansion sites and defining the process by which a portfolio company would be inducted, incubate and transition out to their respective offices.
