ARTS ALIVE! is an experiential learning program founded on teaching movement skills through the expressive arts in order to develop the whole child –socially, emotionally, mentally, and physically.

We teach a research based curriculum that validates and enhances each student’s learning potential.

History

Established in 1994.

For the past 20 years, ARTS ALIVE! has been creating success in children all over the Houston area. We have taught over 66,809 students. We have held classes and workshops in over 400 area locations. Over half of our staff has been with us for over 15 years. We are looking forward to another amazing 20 years.

Meet the Business Owner

Tina Marie S.

Business Owner

Tina Sabuco, Artistic Director and Foundress of ARTS ALIVE! Inc., holds a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Drama and Children’s Theatre from The University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from Northern Michigan University. She began dancing at age 3 in her hometown of Escanaba, Michigan, and has never stopped. 2013 marks her 38^th year of teaching!

Tina founded ARTS ALIVE! in 1994, blending her drama and dance backgrounds to offer an expressive arts program for students of all ages and abilities. Tina delights in teaching «children» from 1 to 101. Her students include babies and their parents, children of all ages, seniors with Alzheimer’s and dementia and special needs populations.

Impassioned about teacher education, she uses her unique teaching methodologies to provide many workshops in arts education for classroom teachers. Tina continues to live out her personal motto — -
