Super cute Catholic Church! I loved the whole communion experience it was so sanitary. Not sure if all of Houston does it but they give you the communion in your mouth dipped in the blood of Christ. I like that you don’t all drink from the same cup reducing the risk of getting sick! I loved the older look but it was still preserved. Best of all it was really near the metro light rail which was so convenient!

I used to visit churches purely for their architecture, however, recently I have been attending sunday morning mass with my girlfriend. She is a very solid catholic girl and I am well recently baptized. I keep an open mind so figure I can add one of my passions with my new found sunday morning activity. I decided to Unilocal about churches. This is I believe the oldest catholic church in Houston. It’s beautiful inside. Tall ceilings with marvelous stained glass all around. The parking situation isn’t too bad, lots of street parking. I wonder if during baseball season it’s bad around here though. I will be back for more sunday morning masses.

This is the oldest catholic church in the city. The fact that Latin services endure demonstrates an admirable reverence for classical virtues easily brushed aside in today’s frenetic society.
Msgr. Golasinski speaks frankly about the brusque realities of iniquity. Houston is lucky to have a church where cherished ancient traditions flourish.
Although I don’t attend services here often, I struggle to be a sincere catholic and believe that Annunciation presents a wonderful reminder of the epic majesty of faith.

It is kind of funny to be «rating» a church but there’s no wrong in saying how lovely this church is.
It’s a very traditional parish and very reverent in all aspects There’s no charismatic music or non liturgical gestures. The mass is the focus and high point.
This parish offers Tridentine (Latin) mass at 6 am and 8 am on Sundays for those who prefer it. The 9:30 am and 5:30 pm Sunday masses are English and the 11:00 am mass is Latin Novus Ordo.
This isn’t a large parish and it’s quiet and reverent. I’m young but I prefer a more traditional church and this is where I’m comfortable.
The stained glass windows are beautiful and the whole church is a work of art.

This church is beautiful: full of marble, with an intact high alter, and beautiful stained glass. My parish of choice. The 1962 Latin Mass every Sunday at 8 am, this is a definite must for any Houston Catholic.
