Amazing Lash Studio

Tasha was awesome! She did exactly what I wanted and very quick (under 1 hour). Definitely coming back to her!

I was trying to make an appointment one day so I called this location and the one on Shepherd. This location would not pick up the phone. I’ve called a few times at around 10am, and again at 2pm, and again at 4pm and nobody would answer. Fortunately, I live in the center of Houston so I was open to going to any location. I called the Voss location and they picked up the second I dialed. Going to that location today for my first appointment!

I read the reviews but I threw caution to the wind to get a nail salon two week lash set removed. I told the lady that answered the phone The details of what I needed and that they had been originally put on at a nail salon and were not extensions. I made sure to give her the details so I would not waste my time driving out to the studio if they couldn’t help me. I made sure to ask the name of the lady that would be working with me before I hung up. I got to the studio checked in and 45 minutes after my appointment was supposed to start the Young lady that replaced the front desk at five asked me if I had an appointment. I told her I did she checked could not find my name. She called the lady that was at the front desk before and then told me that my appointment has not been booked even though the front desk lady before 5 had said she checked me in. Then the front desk went and asked in the back about my lashes after I explained to her my situation and she told me that they would not be able to remove my lashes without taking some of my original lashes due to the fact that they were not type of lashes they typically remove. The lady that took my call and «checked me in» at the front desk wasted my gas wasted my time but I was stupid for not listening to the Unilocal reviews.

I encountered an issue with the affect of the type of glue they are using and mentioned that to a particular stylist and asked for a different one. She «tried» something else which consisted of continuing without primer and the issue persisted. I called on a Tuesday and the «manager» wasn’t coming in until Thursday with a range of 9:30 am to 11 am as her in time. When I called back at 9:45 am on Thursday, she still hadn’t arrived. She did call back around noon but had the wrong information and proceeded to have a blasé attitude without offering a solution of any sort. I did attempt to call back around 1 pm to find that she had left. When I explained she had the wrong information, the receptionist just took a note for when the staff member decides to come back in.
I am very perturbed with this location. Thank goodness their corporate branch has other locations! Convenience doesn’t always mean better.
Area manager did reach out and provided a refund for service as well as useful procedures for future instances. Thank you, Gabrielle!

The only reason I’m even giving this location 2 stars is because the technicians are so good. The customer service at this place is astonishingly horrible. You’re hardly ever greeted when you walk in and if you are, it’s a fake smile followed with a short hi. Unless you see someone else sign in or you’re already an existing customer, you have absolutely no idea what to do when you arrive. Do you sit down? Do you go to the front desk? Nobody knows because nobody greets you and lets you know. Then once you sit down, expect to wait at least 10 – 15 solid minutes before anyone acknowledges your presence. Once you get in for your appointment and your lashes look amazing, thanks to the awesome technicians, you go to pay and you would expect them to ask you if you need any mascara or any other products, because upselling is a typical thing in a business right? So when they fail to let you know that you need to either buy their oil-​free mascara or buy an oil-​free mascara from the store, you leave the place not knowing what kind of mascara you are allowed to use on your false lashes. The main reason I am writing this review is because of how I was treated this past Saturday when I came in for my appointment. I had an appointment at 2:10pm and I was coming in from north of Houston and I knew I was going to be late so I call ahead of time to let them know and see if I was able to get in a few minutes late or if I needed to reschedule. I guess the girl who answered the phone was in a good mood that day because she was very kind and let me know that there was a 15 minute grace period and as long as I was there 15 minutes after my scheduled appointment, they would be able to get me in. So I rushed as fast as I could to get there by 2:25pm. I pulled up and ran in the door and I looked at my phone as I was signing in and saw that it was 2:24pm and I thought to myself «thank goodness I made it in time». As I’m sitting there for at least 5 – 10 minutes, I’m wondering if my technician is just running behind or if they just forgot about me. So I quickly ask the girl at the front desk if I can use the restroom real quick; I go to the bathroom, come back out and sit down for another 5 minutes before the front desk girl named Brittany rudely says, «umm we’re going to have to reschedule you because you did not make it in time.» And I was in shock because 1. I had been sitting there for 10 – 15 minutes already, 2. I had asked to use the restroom so I had previously had a few words with her and 3. because I know for a fact that I made it there with less than a minute to spare. So I told her that when I walked in it was 2:24pm, and I even have a text message proof because my friend had text me as I was signing in. She rudely told me, «Umm no it was 2:28». I have no problem admitting fault for being late but the fact that she not ONCE apologized and she not ONCE acknowledged me when I walked in for my appointment and if I was late when I walked in she should have told me that she needed to reschedule me at that moment, not make me wait for 15 aimlessly minutes. Luckily there was an open appointment at 4:10 that day so I took it, but when I was about to leave she then decided to let me know that it would be an additional $ 10 because the technician was a master stylist. Not only was she rude and lying about the time that I came in, but she was letting me know that I had to pay an additional $ 10. Money is not the issue here, the issue is how she treated me and not ONE TIME did she apologize for the inconvenience. I recommend the technicians but if you decide to go to this place, expect Brittany, the rude front desk girl, to not pay attention to you and not inform you of anything regarding your lashes. Highly disappointed with the management staff for letting this be how their customers are treated.

This place has come to a new low of customer service that I have ever experienced. The new manager Clarise has not made things better. Because of their cheaper prices they think they can jerk you around and provide incompetent service.
The final incident… started when my go-​to tech left, Kim. The new person that they placed me with (Jr stylist) made my lashes twisted, heavy and she used so much glue that my eye was half way shut. Another stylist tried to fix it but by the time I got home, my lashes looked less than mediocre than what I’m use to. I decided to book an appt to just get a full set and pay the extra money for it. When I booked my appt, I explained the situation and she told me the cost would be $ 79.
When I arrived to my appt, the tech relayed to me that she would have to charge an extra $ 30 to remove some lashes. Really? I wouldn’t have to do a new set if their jr stylist was competent enough! When she called the manager to see what she can do, I explained that I was never told of this charge and shouldn’t have to pay extra cost. The manager Clarice through the phone says «that is the cost of doing business!» Well, Clarice what about being a manager and train your receptionists and techs appropriately so that your customers aren’t surprised and it doesn’t looks like you’re nickel and dime them at the time of the appt.
So BEWARE folks don’t waste your time and money, this place just sucks!

Five stars for Liliana, as she is the only technician I have used since I started going here in February. She is awesome and quick!
What takes it down to 3 starts: What have a problem with is the increase in price. If you basically have a contract and you have to get a manager’s approval to stop or a doctor’s note to stop immediately, they will still charge a last time. Personally, I feel if you are going to raise the prices I should be able to cancel IMMEDIATELY. I do not like their process in discontinuing the service AT ALL. It is unfortunate that so many salon-​style businesses are doing this nowadays. They must have gotten their business model from Gunthy Ranker. If you’ve ever ordered anything from that business you know what I’m speaking of. It’s MY money. You aren’t God and it is not your job to determine when, where, or how I spend it. If I don’t want your product any longer it is MY choice to discontinue it without jumping hurdles (such as having to discontinue in person) or feeling like I’m being swindled one last time.

I showed up to bring my wife in for her appointment not only was the staff cold the room smelled like fast food and the group of receptionist were at home with phones on the counter and to top it off I swear I saw chicken nuggets and Oreos inside of the desk drawers!
As I waited I could hear their entire conversation on «baby daddy drama» I asked to speak to a manger and was given the run around.

This review is strictly for Ashley. She is the only service provider I’ve used at this location. She does a wonderful job, is friendly and welcoming. Definitely will come back for her services.

I’ve been going to a certain stylist at a different location but she was on leave and gone for a bit. I assumed that ALL amazing lash studios were trained equally and that the front desk all were trained. I came to this location temporarily because it was closer until my stylist returned. I’m never going back to this location again. The front desk sucks, they do not care and do not know how to book an appointment correctly, especially when I book weeks in advanced with a certain stylist and show up booked with a beginner. She needs to go through training again and Needs to remove the old lashes before applying the new ones. Any way never coming back to this location. I’m mainly leaving this review for the front desk and not coming back for that reason. Im sure the junior and senior stylists there are great. But Ya while I was getting a discount for them messing up my booking, another client comes in complaining about the front desk next to me. That speaks for itself.

I really wanted to get my lashes done. But when I called to make an appointment, they wanted a credit card # to book it. This was for all locations.
Sorry… I do not feel comfortable with that. I have never been to any of their locations and feel like this is not good business.
Looking for another business to give my $ to …

I have had my lashes done for almost a full year by 3 other Amazing Lash locations, I will NEVER return to Sawyer Heights. During the process, the technician was anything but gentle, pulling out my real lashes and poking my eyes and taking 2.5 hours for a full set (it is supposed to take 90 minutes). After she said she was done, I looked at them and there were still top and bottom lashes glued together, visible chunks of glue at the base, and looked like I had them applied 2 weeks before. I waited 20+ minutes to speak to a manager and when Phelesha finally came out, said that she had to get to Conroe by 8 and couldn’t help other than separating my eyelid from the bottom lashes, she didn’t even apologize for a bad experience then charged full price for a botch job. Don’t go to this location!!!

After trying out many lash stylish… Ashley is by far the best! Fast and was patient with me while I figured out what i was allergic to… THE TAPE! Now she uses paper tape on me and everything is good. I’m happy because i get to keep my eyelash exts!!! Thanks Ash! :)

I either have good luck every time or I’m not a tough person to please, but this ALS location is my go-​to one, even with the fact that I live in Pearland. The front desk girls are always really nice. They inform me of my upcoming appointments ahead of time. My favorite stylists are Fiona and Ashley (although they’ve all been nice so far). But from experience, Fiona and Ashley are really good with what they do, plus they will actually talk with you to see what type of look you do on the daily and they’ll «match» it with the style of lashes they recommend. And plus, the refills they do on me last a good MONTH and stay in good condition :) (with good care on my part of course). Still staying with ALS thanks to this location and the 2 stylists. Thanks girls!

Used my Groupon for a full set at $ 79. The customers service is horrible. Once you pay $ 79 for the full set you have to register you credit card for membership pricing. They charge your card monthly for a refill and if you need additional touch ups its more. If you dont want to join the cost is $ 60 for a refill. I’ve had lash extensions before and this is way too much for a refill. Most places charge much less and offer refill amounts based on the number of weeks in between service. Lets say you got a full set on the 1^st of the month but then in the middle of the moth you have an event and want your lashes retouched. Amazing Lash will still change you $ 60 the same as if you would have waiting a full month. There are no other options. For some this might work but for me it doesn’t. My lashes already look not so great after two weeks. I’ve gone to The Lash Studio here in Houston and they charge you according to the weeks which is a much better option.

For a brand new business not a good start… Bad first impression for a new customer, unprofessional, and terrible customer service. Save your money for a different studio and here’s why… I bought the groupon for $ 79 first full set. Excited about new lashes, I booked a 9:30am appointment and showed up 10 minutes early to my appointment. I wanted to be early in case there was paperwork (which there was) and be mindful of starting on time.
9:45am rolls around and the Receptionist tells me my technician (Liliana) is running behind but will be here shortly. A little irritated but ok, fine I understand we all run late sometimes. After waiting 25 minutes I start to get really irritated and ask if she’s even coming at this point. Receptionist calls Liliana and low and behold she wasn’t even planning on coming in until 10:20am and showed zero desire to try and make it right by trying to make it in time for my appointment.
By this point I had waited a total of 45 minutes plus the 15 – 20 minutes it took me to even get there. I couldn’t even speak to a manager since she was doing lashes on another customer but she told the receptionist to give me 30% off.
Hmmm last time I checked you charge customers 50% of service for cancellations less than 24 hours. So the other way around, customers get 30% off for a complete NO SHOW of a technician??? Math doesn’t seem right here…
Groupon was kind enough to refund me but ladies seriously, save yourself the trouble and find a better studio or at the very least, DON’T BOOK WITH LILIANA! She probably won’t show up!
