History

Established in 1975.

Dr. Karotkin took over the orthodontic practice of Dr. Ron Gallerano in March 2009. Dr. Gallerano had been in practice in west Houston for 33 years and still consults with Dr. Karotkin on orthodontic cases.

Meet the Business Owner

Business Owner

John Karotkin is a native Houstonian who grew up in the Memorial area and attended Second Baptist High School. He subsequently attended Duke University and then went on to receive his DDS degree from UT Dental Branch in San Antonio. He then attended orthodontic residency and earned his Master’s degree from the Department of Orthodontics at Temple University in Philadelphia, where a high-​tech approach to orthodontics is emphasized. After moving back to Houston, Dr. Karotkin began working with Dr. Gallerano. In March of 2009, Dr. Karotkin assumed ownership of the practice. Dr. Karotkin enjoys staying up to date on the latest developments in dentistry and orthodontics by maintaining a rigorous continuing education schedule. He is a member of the Houston Invisalign Study Club, the Houston Pankey Affiliated Learning Group, as well as many others. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife, family and dogs; physical fitness activities; and watching Duke basketball.
