Adp-Automatic Data Processing

EMPLOYERS BEWARE !!! They should have no stars at all, but without giving them a 1 star, I couldn’t leave this review. ADP is the worst payroll company to work with. I have been a working with numerous payroll processing companies over the past 15 years and I can honestly say that ADP is not a reliable processor.
Let me clarify that when I say I’ve used many processors — I have used Paychex, Oasis, ADP, Diversified Human Resources, GNA Partners and Advantage Payroll. All the processors have their little glitches but ADP takes the cake.
I enrolled my companies in early November and they were suppose to start processing the ½/​15 payroll. The setup team didn’t contact me until the end of December and guess what? They missed the ½/​15 payroll and I was forced to use my old processor. By the time the 2^nd payroll was coming around, I still wasn’t fully set up because «we are very busy with all the new companies we have but we’re going to get you taken care of» Lo and behold the payroll was processed incorrectly and checks didn’t make it to our locations on time. Next payroll, my set up still wasn’t done and some people were double paid, which caused our payroll account to go negative.
Problem after problem continued to occur with every payroll period — from their delivery drivers not delivering the paychecks on time, on payday to incorrectly creating TWC accounts for my other companies that they weren’t processing payroll for. It is now March and I’m still not fully set up, don’t have my dedicated payroll processor.
Needless to say, I quickly switch back to my old process and apologized for leaving them. For the last several months, I’ve been trying to get ADP to provide me with my 2015 Q1 941 filings and they are saying that they won’t provide them to me because we owe them money. Surprise, come to find out that they didn’t set me up on auto-​draft payment for their fees, eventhough I clearly told the rep and the setup person that this would be the only way that I would transfer my company services to them. They even assured me that everything was set up correctly back in January and now they won’t release my records or my Quarterly 941 filings.
Now I’m getting nasty notices from ADP with a phone # and an email to contact. So I call the # and get the customer service department, who gives me the run around about not being able to find me in their system. I tried this about 5 times over 3 hours and stopped. I then emailed the person on the letter and have yet to get back a response. Trying to pay them but they don’t care to call me back, so I figure they don’t care. I then in July receive a letter from an attorney for collections, which is ridiculous since ADP never contacted since I began calling them in May. So I pay the attorney and they’re still sending me ADP nasty notices. What a NIGHTMARE. Throughout this entire ordeal, I’ve sent my grievances to my sales rep but no one has followed up with me or given a straight answer on where my records are, why did my company fall between the cracks or even apologized for the colossal mess they created.

My employer has used ADP for payroll processing, tax payment services, COBRA administration, and Timekeeping. Experience to date over the last two years is mixed. System can be cumbersome for payroll, and you have to import and export more than necessary. The time keeping system keeps going down at our sites. Some representatives are great and knowledgeable, some just out of the starting gate and needing to «call back» with answers. For a multi-​state payroll, they are suppossed to be the people to turn to, however the last two years have become dangerous driving! We are still cleaning up multiple tax issues caused by a merger handled by ADP.
A new team for larger clients was established with more experienced reps; we have been assigned to this team for about 6 months. Some improvements noted here. Maybe to improve client satisfaction, they need to keep up on analyzing client needs to better match the training of the payroll representatives.
I think it is time to change lanes to avoid that swerving semi truck!
