Meet the Manager

Desmond T.

Manager

Desmond has been managing A Plus before he even knew it. He started out at the age of 8 as the sweeper while his brothers cut lawns. His first step in the management was deciding that work can get done more efficiently by upgrading the tools used. He decided to save his earnings, and at the age of 9 he was able to buy his first blower. Eventually his brothers moved on, but Desmond pursued his passion. At the age of 12, he began cutting lawns on his own in nearby neighborhoods. At 17, people were asking for more difficult tasks such as drainage, stonework, water features. He didn’t have experience, but he believed that he could learn and his clients believed in giving him an opportunity. With that winning combination, A Plus Landscaping was born. With enough money earned, Desmond was able to attend college and obtained a degree in environmental sciences. Whenever asked what he is most proud of, he will tell you it his keen eye for beauty to create custom landscaping and his attention
