Best cake place I’ve had. The cakes are moist and super delicious. I love working with Mrs. Earnetta very sweet and provides great customer service. They will be making my wedding cake.
Love the cakes still one of my favorite. Customer service is awful. Did not deliver for my wedding!!! No explanation needed

UNPROFESSIONAL!!! Don’t ever in your life depend on this cake shop. This place deserves ZERO stars but Unilocal won’t allow anything lower than one star. My cousins wedding was this past Sunday and the wedding cakes were never delivered!!! A contract was signed and money was paid. An extra fee was even paid for a Sunday delivery. We called and called and called again. Messages were left everytime. No one ever called us back when we were trying to find this lady for the cakes. My cousin was so upset she had an asthma/​panic attack because of all this stress!!! We made sure to announce what cake shop this was to the guests in attendance so people would be aware. Future brides and anyone looking for cakes be AWARE DON’T EVER BOOK WITH THIS PLACE!!! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!

This place has some of the best cake, cookies, pies and tea cakes in Houston. If you dont want a whole cake they have chunk slices of many flavors. If I am driving down this street or on this side of town, this place constantly «calls me» for a dessert treat. Very respectfully priced. Plan to wait in line or wish your favorite kind is not sold out when arriving.

The tea cakes are delicious and the sock it to me cake. I hate to say this and I am not condoning bad customer service but places like this always lack in the customer service department, because usually the person baking all the delicious treats tends to everything. It’s like a bride planning her own wedding, she’s most likely gonna be a bridezilla., because she’s trying to do it all. With that being said if you can get past the customer service… Go!!! and experience the baked goods. You won’t regret it unless u go expecting great customer service.

We enjoy ordering cakes, we never had any problems with the staff it gets busy during the holidays you must order and be there on time to pick up your order, but we just enjoy the entire staff and of course the cakes and Pies are just YUMMIEST!

THE ABSOLUTE WORST IN CUSTOMER SERVICE. The best teacakes you’ll ever eat. I placed an order 1 week in advance and called two days before picking up my order just to re-​confirm that it’d be ready on the date/​time that I needed. Well, when I go to pick up the order, it’s not ready. Everyone who placed and order on that day was turned away because they were running behind. Then, I go back 3 hours later and they started selling some of my order to others!
These people lack professionalism, character, customer service and any qualities a respectable business would have. What a waste!

The best cake I’ve ever had but their service is horrible. You have to catch up with them and I don’t think that’s good for any busy. I called all day for two days straight and even stopped by before and after work and they were still close… come 2 find out they’re only open a few hrs a day and it varies :-(

A & K is simply the BEST! If moist, delicious, freshly baked cake is your thing, then this is the place. If dry, overpriced, fondant «creations» and a fancy schmancy location are what you want, keep moving.
A&K makes the cake my grandma used to make, even better (sorry Granny)…
