«Marlon» poses as a credible representative of this company, however, I am appalled at his lack of professionalism and how my customer service concerns were (not) addressed. When a customer is told that he/​she is trying to «screw him over», I take umbrage to his tone, language and I was HIGHLY offended. Make sure you receive written confirmation and confirm, confirm, confirm your requests!
In terms of the move, Clint and Mike did a great job at dealing with the cards they were dealt and I applaud them for doing their best in their circumstance. They are the only reason I gave the company 1-​star.

We had a reservation a couple weeks ago with A-​1 AllState Movers for arrival between noon-​2pm. At approximately 1:30pm we received a call from the manager at the A-​1 office informing us that the arrival would now be between 2pm-​3pm or moved to the following day.
Now anyone that has ever moved knows that it is a stressful process and in the midst your living space is completely disrupted the day of… So moving our reservation (set weeks ago) was not an option. We can barely find anything!
We waited… And waited until 3:15 rolled around and still hadn’t received an update or movers. So we tried contacting the office of which NO one answers any of the 3 numbers. That is until I called from a different number than the one that was linked to our reservation, immediate answer. Magic!
The manager informs us that the crew has been trying to reach us on my bf cell… He & the cell phone are sitting right beside me. Try another lie sir.
So the manager tells us he will get an update and call us right back… 15 min later, no update and yet again the manager has lost his phone I assume bc he’s not answering our calls.
Luckily, the actual movers that are off site on another assignment call us and inform us that they told the manager first thing this morning our reservation would be severely delayed, but other crews were available if we contact the manager.
Numerous phone calls and voicemails later, still no word from the manager.
I would never recommend this company to anyone. You’ll plan your moving process and then spend the day waiting on movers to never show and frantically call other companies hoping they’re available.

I have used them many times and always pleased

they were quick to get everything wrapped and moved out. I couldn’t have done it with out them. They could have been more prompt but in the end it worked out.

Yikes. The first time (a year ago) I used this company, they did an amazing job! Called again for this move, and it was awful. The movers called me at 1pm (when they were supposed to arrive) to ask if they could stop at TMobile to fix their phone. Uh no… sorry. Once they arrived, they worked quickly… until they got to my new place. They took forever and couldn’t get my couch in the doorway. This is a typical 3 person couch from Ashley furniture, nothing huge. He told me «We either scratch your couch or leave it in the hallway, you pick». They broke the light off of the ceiling in the apartment, scratched the wall and the door up, and ruined my couch. They didn’t even deliver everything. Today is one week later, and after calling daily, I got my last item delivered to me. What a joke.

We hired A1 Allstate movers after seeing great reviews online. They met all our expectations. The movers were professional, hard working, and cautious with our belongings. We will be moving again in two years and will certainly use A-​1 movers again at that time. We would recommend their services to our friends and family

These guys work quickly and always find a way to deal with my difficult parking situations. They have huge trucks so everything can be hauled nicely and in fewer trips.

They came and moved my stuff. No hassle, just what I needed.

My husband and I used this company twice in 4 years. I would say they are timely, respectful of the customer and their belongings. They were on time and did anything extra we asked them to. Also even though they work by the hour they did not go slowly just to earn more money. They moved super fast and very carefully. Love these guys just wish they did cross country moves.

If I can give this 0 star, I would. This is the worst moving company I have experienced by far. I scheduled them at 9.00 am, no one ever showed up until 1.30 pm. When I call back to ask what’s going on, nobody picks up the phone at all.
I don’t know how this company is still in business.

I used A1 Allstate Movers several years ago to move fromy apartment to my house. They were terrific and went above and beyond to get my things transferred quickly and safely. I have since recommended th to two other people for their moves and they had equally good experiences.

This was the worst moving experience because of this company. Three months after my move I’ve finally finished repairing and buying new things that were broken or destroyed during the move. I moved in the beginning of October. Apparently, the company outsources during peak times, which is why they can provide service with only 24 hour notice. My move was outsourced. I asked to start moving around 11 am, so they gave me an 11 – 1 window. The movers went to the wrong address which was an hour away. I started moving my own stuff by myself to the curb instead of just siting around. When they showed up around 2:30, I felt like I needed to watch everything the 2 guys did! They looked like they were pulled off the street because they had signs that said «will work for beer/​dope money.» My last move, with the same amount of stuff took 1 hour. They took over 2 hours to load the truck, and that was after I brought all of my boxes and end tables to the curb! One of them was essentially useless and stayed in the truck rearranging things. Items that should have been a team lift, like my washer and dryer, one of them tried to carry down himself! I was being charged an hourly rate, so I started getting I them about it. They started giving me this weird meaning of life speech and telling me to just calm down. It was a hour drive to my new location. Again it took them 2 hours and they showed up with mcdonalds. Apparently, I pay for their dinner break? I was angry when I saw that and got on them about time I was paying for. They refused to take anything out of the truck before getting my card for payment, then I waited around while they had to call the card in, easily a 20 – 30 minute process that I was paying for. Again, one guy did all the work while the other shuffled around in the truck or brought up one small box at a time. The guy who was working, knew I was mad and started saying «well fine just don’t tip me then. I mean, I basically work for tips, but fine.» He wouldn’t shut up about getting tipped! In the end, my bureau and bookshelves all had paint coming off of them. The arm of my couch is now wobbly and they left my apartment with my sectional couch and canopy bed unassembled. I also had to unwrap my bureau myself, when I did a corner was broken off of it. The worst part was that when I tried to reassemble my canopy bed, I realized that the parts weren’t all taken out of the truck. I called the company to see if they could find it and told them how awful my experience was. They said they would never outsource to them again and try to find the piece to my bed. They found it the next day and said they would mail it out, but 3 months later it was still undelivered. I was sick of not being able to assemble my bed so I had to find someone who could custom make the part of my bed that was still missing in order to finally put my bed together. I chose this place because of the great reviews, but it was nothing but a hot mess!

They moved my mothers possessions from Portland, OR to Houston, TX. They went friendly, communicated well, patient and affordable. I was very pleased.

These guys are great. They came when they were expect. Fast with the move and careful with the fragile items. Also timely with their loading and loading of the truck. No problems or complaints from me. Don’t know what else to say but they did what they needed to and did it well.

The job was handled effectively wish they would of moved faster but I understand the difficulty of moving from the 3^rd floor!

Great, fast and efficient

I would highly recommend A-​1 Allstate movers. They met or exceeded my expectations in every benchmark that matters in a moving service.
They were very communicative with regards to arrival time & arrived exactly when they said they’d be there. The movers were careful, professional, hard workers. The lead mover even helped me save a bundle by pointing out I probably wouldn’t need a second team of movers. With my approval, he cancelled the second team & cut my cost by more than half.
This isn’t the first time I’ve used A-​1 Allstate movers. They consistently prove to be the best choice in moving services.

I would hire A1 again. They took great care to protect my goods during a torrential rain storm and genuinely cared about my goods making it to Lubbock safely.
