Our Mission: to provide patient education, advocacy, and support to all affected by lupus, increase public awareness of the debilitating disease, and help raise research dollars to find a better diagnosis, a better treatment, and a CURE.

History

Established in 1993.

We started out as a Lupus Support Group under the umbrella of the Lupus Foundation of America, Inc., we disassociated ourselves from them on March 31, 2014 at 5 p.m. Central Standard time. Our name now is Lupus Foundation of Arkansas, Inc. We are based in Hot Springs, Arkansas but we serve anyone who needs information on lupus in the State of Arkansas. We host support group meetings in Hot Springs, AR every other 3^rd Tuesday, the next meeting will be September 16, 2014 at Levi Hospital in the Boardroom located at 300 Prospect Avenue in Hot Springs. Meetings are free and open to the public.

I am a lupus patient who almost lost my life due to complications of lupus. My promise God that if He would spare my life that I would serve Him and I would try to help other patients eliminate some of the pain and unnecessary suffering I had to endure prior to being diagnosed.
