Lawrence Webb is one of the few honest mechanics I’ve ever come across. He never oversold a service or a part and always finished with the work on time as promised. He took care of several of my cars over the years, always with a highly competitive price. He even let me bring in my own parts, which many shops won’t do. Someone from the shop always drove me back to my office and picked me up when the car was ready.
My only complaint has to do with some of the guys he hired. If Lawrence was personally on the job, you had no worries. A couple of times one of his guys missed something though. Under-​tightening valve cover bolts resulting in oil leaks, leaving out nuts on the heat shield that produced an annoying rattle, little things like that. We got it fixed each time, but a bit more professionalism from the employees would be appreciated. Still, far and away better quality of service than any of the other garages I used in HS.
