Service Liquor & Wines

Just ok. Prices are a little steep. Not a good wine selection. People are friendly, though!

I worked in the wholesale wine and spirits biz for about 15 years so I tend to be pretty critical of liquor stores. That said, of the two stores I’ve visited in Hot Springs, this one is head and shoulders above the other.
The shelves seemed to be pretty well stocked with a nice selection, especially in spirits and prices seemed reasonable. The store was well-​staffed up front and someone helped carry my purchases out to the Jeep.
On the negative side, I was a bit disappointed in the selection of beer and wine. I was looking for a nice Italian wine but had a hard time finding the Italian section and discovered that it was pretty limited when I did find it. There really wasn’t anyone out on the sales floor to help and my cashier seemed a bit annoyed that I kept bringing additional purchases to his counter. You’d think he’d be pleased. Oh well.

There is a wide variety of wine and spirits at Service Liquor & Wine. The staff is friendly and will help you carry it out to your car if necessary. Great place.
